A half-pipe coaster with a hump in the middle (basically a disko coaster), that provides up to -1.5 g's every passage.

Why aren't these everywhere!?

This sounds fun

And the end spikes would curve far beyond 90 degrees so it's even more negative Gs! Sort of shaped like a giant mustache!

I made something similar to this on No Limits. It isnt a straight coaster, but it does have a giant hump and past 90 degree spikes.

^u can download it on the nl exchange (i think it should work, but i cant search my coasters anymore since NL2 came out and they changed the website.)

I'm afraid that Kings Island might be closing down Drop Zone. I'm wildly speculating here, but its been SBNO since mid-season last year. Three weeks into this season might not be enough time to tell, but with the massive renovation of the Action Zone, do you guys think it's a possibility?

RUMOR: Due to the over-whelming abundance of coasters and new attractions opening in a year or so

in Europe (Scandi included)....the "proposed" 2016 TPR CHINA Tour "might possibly" be moved to 2017 instead?

Just a hunch. But still A Rumor, lol.

(Also, that gives Shanghai Disneyland more time to get through all the bumps and mistakes after it's opening, and HKDL should have it's Iron Man Experience opened by 2017, too. Not to mention what else may be open In China, by then.)

No rumor, no speculation, nada.....just saying....why is SFGA one of the six flags without a mine-train? We got X-flight 2 years ago, and we have "Goliath" this year, but why don't we add a cool mine train to the SouthWest Area in the next couple years? It'd look really cool running near Giant Drop and Raging Bull....hey, there's a whole underused stadium that we could knock down for the footrprint.

Here's is my wild guess for what Kings Island should do with Drop Zone/Tower, sell it to a park outside the Cedar Fair chain like Darien Lake!

^Agreed. Also, I think SfGam should go launched (a premier launched coaster was rumored for this year) for their next major coaster. I was thinking a Blue-Fire like launched Multi-Looper in Demon's place.

I couldn't agree more. I originally was predicting that it would be a premier launched heading to SFGAm, but I was wrong! thats ok, they'll just have to put one at the park next time they get a coaster. In the mean time though, I say send a premier launched to Six Flags New England. Though an RMC woodie would work well there too...they can get that after the launched!

While I do agree that a Premier would be good for the park, I don't think Demon should go. That ride is quite popular whenever I go. One time last year the line was all the way to the enterance. And while it may be rough, it's a classic for the park and they keep a good job maintaining it like how they do with Whizzer. If any spot in the park, the 2 outdoor theaters would work just fine for maybe a compact launched coaster. But that's just my opinion.

^The reason the counterweight is there is because if it wasn't the forces of the gondola on going down would totally wreck the motor, bearings, etc. In order to achieve this effect, I'd say just keep the counterweight and use a more powerful motor.

^It would be as if we had a giant frisbee than went all the way up to 180 degrees. I imagine the problem would be the stress on the support structure (for instance) and not so much the motor (but then I'm no engineer, so...)

Not sure if anything like this has been posted before, but I think this would be a must-ride coaster.

Four words:

GCI.

Crystal.

Beach.

Cyclone.

Clicky

Of course, some adjustments to decrease pain would be necessary, but if a park opened its own version of (arguably) one of the most legendary rides of all time, they could potentially have a Top 10 wooden coaster on their hands.

EDIT: Well, there was an ancient thread that mentioned the idea (http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=551), but I think it could stand to be mentioned again.

Here's a rather crazy idea for Darien Lake to do with the 'Cuda Falls/Barracuda Bay area in 2015, move the current kiddie rides and the kiddie coaster to there and add some new kiddie rides to make a new kids area that's closer to the park's entrance.

  • 1 month later...

I had a crazy idea come to mind yesterday. Since both Mr. Freezes got turned backwards in 2012, I think it would be pretty crazy (however likely) for Six Flags to turn Poltergeist and Joker's Jinx backwards. That would be a pretty twisted, insane ride. For some reason, I see Six Flags doing this at some point or another.

I'm going to start making more RMC ride layout ideas soon, any reccomendations for what ride I should do next?

Rides done:

Georgia Cyclone/ other cyclone clone

Coaster Express

Mighty Canadian Minebuster

Mean Streak

Great White (my personal favorite layout I have made)
