coasterlover04 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Cedar Point will be adding treese next year! However, they are going to make them so they don't have to be maintained. Just apply a fresh coat of paint every spring to make them look like new. Seriously, it's probably for an overhaul of Meanstreak.

They wouldn't make a big fuss about something like that, as that happens every year. My best guess would be a GCI on the beach replacing Disaster Transport. Or an aquatrax.

Astat Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 There are essentially no construction markers anywhere at Cedar Point as of last weekend, other than a couple red and yellow flags off to the side of the Frontier Trail that have been there pretty much all year. It's probably wood for rehabbing one of their existing coasters. If they were building a new one, there would have been a lot more evidence of it by now. The CP blog posted a teaser involving wood near the end of the '05 season as well, and that just turned out to be wood for rehabbing Gemini.

I really hope it is as off kilter as it sounds and doesn't happen. If it does, likely that Busch Gardens Africa will go away because of Animal Kingdom. Anybody but Disney, anybody...

I think that is more likely than Disney buying BEC. I highly doubt that Disney would buy a park, they prefer to build new ones. Why would they buy SWO DC and Aquatica when it is not in their resort area? If Disney and only if, Disney were to buy a park from BEC, it would only be Discovery Cove

My guess is a new something* going in on Millennium Island, why would they build a permanent bridge over there just for a scare zone? *Doesn't mean wooden coaster, I would love if it was, it very well may be for something else entirely however.
Groteslurf Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Walibi Belgium : the removal of Vertigo is now also a fact according to the newspapers in Belgium. According to the papers, WB will NOT open a new ride next season. So the novelty for next season will be that Vertigo isn't there anymore
