Now that Eejanaika has been open awhile, I was wondering if anyone here has ridden both and would offer a comparison.

I'm looking forward to finding out how 4D: The Sequel does. One thing I noticed (from Cyclone Man's pictures) that I wish they'd do here is to put padding on the car behind where your calves are. That would be nice.

Too bad I can't go on your Japan trip. I can't afford it right now.

I rode Eejanaika! I really enjoyed it! The amount of extra padding kind of freaked me out. I did think the ride was on the rougher side, and the flipss were not smooth. But it was insane, and the most unique experience I've ever had on a coaster.

My exact thoughts after getting off X the first time.....I literally didn't know what had just happened

I'm not sure how high the re-rideablity factor is, but it's definately a crazy coaster and, imho, probably the most revolutionary concept to hit the industry in a LONG time.

i've never ridden those things but i know the good way to know how

they both are really different. i believe Eejanaika is gonna beat X up

in the list of 'which one is really smooth 4d?!'

Also, Eejanaika offers more than X. Eejanaika does back flip in the raven Turn. A back flip in the half-half. And overbanked turn. And when it comes into the breaks, the seats flip foward which cought me and my siblings by suprise.

Good page on Eejanaika!

^ That is a nice page, only I couldn't read it.

One obvious difference is that Eejanaika's trains have only five cars, thus reducing the overall weight of them by almost a third. And each train has a distinct color.

Just because a ride offers more, doesn't automatically make it better.

There are a lot of coasters out there that are longer, taller, faster, more elements, etc....that completely suck!

I never said it was batter. Just has a bit more. Like Kingda Ka has a little more than TTD, and yet it still sucks!

Just got back to the states and let me say Eejanaika is X on steroids. Great ride and like others have said, it left me with the same speechless reaction I had after I rode X for the first time. Totally worth the 84 bucks I paid to get into the park and the 2+ hours it took (by bus) to get to the park. Thank goodness I had a rail pass otherwise I would have paid hundreds for the 1+ hour train ride on a bullet train from Tokyo to Mishima.

BTW, Eejanaika has the worst que song ever (it just repeats the ride's name over and over again).

^I know. It's still stuck in our heads. My little sister will come in to my room chanting; "Eejanaika eejanaika eejanaikaaaaaa!"

Oh cool, that page has little diagrams including what the seats do and how the seats do it. Neat, I've always assumed the seats were just preprogrammed to flip or something, like the Haunted Mansion system only vertical.

I really don't understand how the hell the park came up with 14 inversions, and I really don't get how Guinness gave it the record. Anywho, it does look better than X, even though it's close to almost being the same. I probably wouldn't fly out just for this ride.
