  1. Seriously the ride op enthusiasm was what really surprised me. With the exception of the Apocalypse crew bickering about one of them being written up, they were all fantastic. I mean working to not stack the trains on Tatsu or Batman when there are only 2 ride operators checking restraints when the park is empty has to say something. More on the Tatsu ride op's, I'm sure you guys have heard it before but I had a smile on my face while the seats were suspended into the flying position & the train leaving: Male ride op: "Here we go up, up & away on the one & only Tatsuuuuu... Enjoy your ride on the flying beast," Female ride op immediately after: "From the far far East."
  2. It was a great day at the park. It's been a few years since I've been to the park but man is it looking good. The park was clean, I was surprised how much new paint was everywhere and the ride ops were great. There was essentially no stacking on any of the rides (including Batman) with a skeleton crew and the ride ops on Tatsu were hilarious and professional.
  3. On the topic of Scream, I think the ride is in serious need of the Bizarro treatment. Signs are all hideously faded, the line is bare and uninteresting, and like it has been stated in the past, the whole moniker is seriously lame.
  4. My friend was with me last night, guy lives in Valencia but hasn't been back to the park in nearly a decade. After witnessing the Scream ride ops goof around and stack the trains, he said "I guess things haven't changed much here." So yeah, the rest of the park operation was great, but it only took one ride to taint my friend's perception of the park. Oh and Scream was pretty darn rough last night and I was riding in the front.
  5. Just got back from the park today and everything was great except for the ride ops at Scream. Decent dispatches but constant chatter between operators over the speakers, constantly pressing of the horn, and there was tons of trash littered throughout the line (though RRv's was worst). Oh, and there was also lots of trash inside the funnel cake bakery too. On a side note, has there always been fog in Terminator's first tunnel after the fire?
  6. Great ride, got two rides in for the first time this past Friday. I guess they've been reading the boards cause the volume is now too low. I don't know how loud it was before, but I hope they raise it because the sound of gun shots should be a bit more intense. Anyhow, the park really has a winner on its hands.
  7. I was there last night too, and I was disappointed with the park operations. After hearing all the improvements to the park in terms of management, I was surprised to see overflowing trash cans, dirty bathrooms, and trash throughout the lines and food areas. In addition, why do the ride op. crews for RRv & Batman always seem to be the worst? I was highly impressed with SFGAdv. last Friday, and I wish I could have said the same about SFMM.
  8. I don't know, I don't think a wild mouse could have worst capacity than Deja Vu or S:TE (hopefully I wont add X2 to this list in a future post).
  9. After watching X go through it's circuit twice during WCB, and seeing the seats rock back and forth throughout the ride, I'm not going to be expecting a smooth ride when it reopens. It was even said that the new trains most likely wont assure a smooth ride, just make the ride more reliable and consistent. In addition, did anyone notice how freely some of the wheels kept spinning when the train came to a stop in the station?
  10. Crush was great, and I'm glad their Tower doesn't have a weak/lame drop sequence like the Tokyo Sea's version.
  11. Nah you guys are misunderstanding me. Admission was 48 for unlimited rides on all the rides, but it also cost me 21 bucks to get to the park by bus and another 15 to get lost and end up in Kofu. My friends were totally turned off by all the costs, so I had to go solo but it was totally worth it just to ride Eejan. As for the train, originally I was going to Fuji-Q from Kyoto, so the best way to get to the park was to take the shinkansen, get off at Mishima station, and then take the bus all the way to the park. However, due to the park's 9-5 hours, we all left fo Tokyo after getting to Mishima around 1pm. The next day I went rouge & figured I'd just retrace my route not knowing about the Chou line.
  12. After riding it I don't think it's fair to say it's almost the same to X, in fact I think they're completely different. Goliath and Titan, now those are almost the same ride but this is more like comparing B:TR to Silver Bullet or any other inverted coaster in my book. Oh and does anyone know what that console inbetween the two seats is for?
  13. Just got back to the states and let me say Eejanaika is X on steroids. Great ride and like others have said, it left me with the same speechless reaction I had after I rode X for the first time. Totally worth the 84 bucks I paid to get into the park and the 2+ hours it took (by bus) to get to the park. Thank goodness I had a rail pass otherwise I would have paid hundreds for the 1+ hour train ride on a bullet train from Tokyo to Mishima. BTW, Eejanaika has the worst que song ever (it just repeats the ride's name over and over again).
