My name requires some explanation. I took a Web site building class last fall and I had to choose a name for the website I had to design. I wanted my website to be a place where I could post all of my short stories and short films.

Every thing I write or film seems to end up as a dark comedy no matter how hard I try (I guess I'm just a fan of gallows humor). So I wanted a website name that would mean a dark/mysterious writer. Then I sat for two hours in front of my computer with the Synonym Finder (Probably the best Thesaurus out there) open on my lap until I came up with darklingscribe which was unregistered. I registered my website and put up a few pages. After the class ended darklingscribe.com has wallowed in a state of constant unupdatedness.

I intend to post more stuff on it any day now... really I'm going to do it. Soon... at least when I get back from the UK trip.

Why are you looking at me like that? Damnit, I'm going to finish it... no really I promise.

My first major application to a community was on the Nintendo NSider Forums. Since I was into the two games Viewtiful Joe and F-Zero GX at the time, my screenname for that was ViewtifulGX991. Shortly after, I started to use a shortened version, vjgx. Ever since then (a few years ago), I've used it everywhere...

My dad always used the name jumboshrmp for spam email.

I have no idea why there is no I, but now the name's spelling has stuck and I like it that way.

Like vjg, my first ever message board was the Nintendo NSider Forums.

My dad signed me up for the Nintendo Forums when he subscribed me to Nintendo Power, and used his own screen name, Jumboshrmp. I was quite mad when i found out that I couldn't change it, and I originally hated it. However, I posted so much on that board that the name stuck, and now, I have become Jumboshrmp, and my email, myspace, website, AIM and all 15 or so message boards that i post on know me as Jumboshrmp.

Also, every time I am mentioned on Coaster Radio, people will know who they are talking about.

Well my screen name is my real name. I figured I should use a real one because I knew I would meet some of you. I guess I always felt kinda goofy when someone yells in the park, "Hey Coasterfiend24, nice to met ya!". Yeah its Erik with the letter "k" at the end. Yeah, members of my Dad's family are from Denmark and Norway, so I got that version of the name. And yes, its cool to have the name "Johnson"

Pretty easy when i was at Disney World when i was 5 the kiddie rides i went on were made by Vekoma (Even though my actual first roller coaster was a Zierier Large Tivoli). Vekoma also made my first looping coaster, The Flashback at SFNE, and my first inverted coaster Mind Eraser at SFNE (Both are in order to which i got the credits). I can't to go back and get my first Gerstlauer Elektro GmbH credit Mr Six's Pandemonium!

What I like about mine is that it can be the same for so many things. I use Jumboshrmp for about 30 different sites, and I know that nobody will ever have taken Jumboshrmp with no I

Actually, it was already taken as an AIM screen name, but I like my current AIM screen name better, because I added something really cool to the end.

Oh yes I did. Sorry, I couldn't resist. But I don't have much room to talk either....lifetime Bruins fan here. I actually root for your Leafs once the B's are out of it, though. I have a good friend close to the organization.

Scott "stupid expansion " B.

EDIT: We should let this get back on topic now.
