coasterfreak101 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 This sucks. I actually really liked Demon Drop at Cedar Point, and when I went to GAdv two months ago this one was closed...sucks to see so many of these go, they're great rides!

Definately the best and one of the last flats at GAdv. I have to say though that 06 was definately its roughest and most painfull year.

ALL the Six Flags First Generation Intamin Freefall rides are for sale at $100,000 a piece including spare parts and without warranty. They are to be sold "as is." kraxleRIDAH Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 ^ That would leave Cedar Point's Demon Drop as the only one, at least in the Americas. Even so, Cedar Point did put Demon Drop up for sale last year, but there were no interested parties. Hopefully these four units will eventualy be sold to other park operators and not sent to the scrapyard.

The next time I went Acro was down and FF was up.

Only kidding about that, you have at least one more season I'm going miss the drop part of the ride, the rest was just painful. I guess we have about 8 flats left in the park now worth riding.

But after seeing them all up for sale I new SFI wouldn't have them much longer. I just hope a park bought it and it will be reconstructed near by.
alpengeist04 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Very sad, but we knew it was coming. I don't care what anybody says, I loved Freefall and it's still my favorite of the drop tower/freefall rides. It was the only kind that made my stomach feel like it was in my throat.

PCman Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 We need a Drop Tower in the space. Drop towers only need like 60-80 footprint and will sell tickets. A tower like the one they have at P:KI and P:KD are very fun.
