GnastyGnoric7 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Just recently picked up the game Q*bert, the controls are very weird.
jray21 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 The only way I liked to play it was in an arcade with the rolling ball controller. It made it a lot easier.
Meteornotes Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 ^Yeah, I think it would be hard to play it with any sort of other control system. Much like Marble Madness. I still want one of those arcade machines for my house... Â dt
traincrossin Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 If you like Animal Crossing, a very similar game called Castaway Paradise just got released for the iPhone and iPad. It's a ton of fun, definitely check it out! https://itunes.apple.com/app/castaway-paradise/id723466226 Â
jray21 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 ^ I really like AC, so I'll have to I've that one a try!  ^Yeah, I think it would be hard to play it with any sort of other control system. Much like Marble Madness. I still want one of those arcade machines for my house... dt  I've been wanting to make one for a long time. Maybe that will be my winter project.
GwaziBSRider1 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I'm extremely stoked that Steam released the pre-load for Civilization: Beyond Earth. Can't wait to play it on Friday!
Meteornotes Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 ^I look forward to that game. Not buying anything until the next Steam sale, though. Â dt
nannerdw Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Dreamfall Chapters, Part 1 comes out tomorrow. I've been looking forward to that one for quite a while. The Longest Journey was a great old-school adventure game. Some of the puzzles were a bit convoluted, and the sequel had some issues with controls, but the storytelling was really good in both games.
jray21 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 ^I look forward to that game. Not buying anything until the next Steam sale, though. dt   Same here. Those deals are usually so good that it's worth the wait. Still waiting for Legend of Zelda to be released for the Wii U. When it's finally released, I might have to pick up a Wii U.
Mater Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 If anyone's interested in being 2-stocked via double meteor smashes, hit me up let's play some Smash 3DS.
IrishCasual Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I don't think I've played a game as scary as Five Nights at Freddy's. Either that or I just get scared easily. And the sequel looks even scarier!
Simipour'sTrainer Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 ^ Bought the iPad version of the game. While I really like the concept and the characters and the idea of working at a Chuck E Cheese-esque place after hours with the animatronics trying to kill you, I thought the gameplay itself was lackluster. All you do is just look at cameras and occasionally flick on a light. And really, the only scares in this game are cheap jumpscares that could scare anyone. Â Having said that, despite the gameplay looking to be more of the same, I am curious to see what the sequel goes with the story, characters, and whatnot.
IrishCasual Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 ^ For €5 on Steam, you get whhat you pay for in this game.
Mater Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Anyone wanna Smash? I guarantee you that you will be two-stock double-meteor'd.
jray21 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Just noticed that Master Blaster and Bases Loaded are on the Virtual Console for 3DS! Can't wait to play them again!
Meteornotes Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Been replaying Borderlands. I forgot how good this was. Â dt
GnastyGnoric7 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Mario Kart Wii for the first time in 2 years. I use Wario, Waluigi, and Funky Kong, and the Flame Runner.
Mater Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Farmin Garry BOA's for my alts preparing for WoD.
Simipour'sTrainer Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 So "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" was unexpectedly released this past Monday. Honestly, for me it's more hot-and-cold than the last game. I don't know, to me something is off about the sequel and it's missing something that the first game did right. Maybe it's the lack of any real strategy with the animatronics (they have no real patterns, they just show up when they feel like it) or the somewhat lazy kill animations, but the sequel is not really doing it for me. Â Having said that though, the surprise twist at the end really got me and I am still all the more curious about the game's lore and background.
jray21 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 ^I loved that game, but was absolutely terrible at it.
nicman Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 ^It took me a while to get good at it, right now I am playing Mario kart Wii as Funky Kong with the Flame Runner.
CanobieFan Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Five nights at Freddy's is a petryfying game where animatronics come to life in Freddy's fazbears pizza. Â Pet your theories as to why here!
ytterbiumanalyst Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Just finished To the Moon, a point-and-click style adventure game made with RPG Maker. It was really fantastic. Though the puzzles were a bit simplistic, they focused on the story, and wow, did the story pack a punch. Without spoiling anything, it's essentially the story of an old man's regrets. Very highly recommended.
SingleRiderCam Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Just got Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance from Black Friday shopping. I did not start MGR:R yet due to downloading and updating but I did start AC:NL and I am having a lot of fun with it.
