hyyyper
how do you make track segments that are seperate from the rest of the track? Example: They are either build by supports and recolored (simple and easy, but cheap and ugly), or build in 3d-software such as 3dsmax (harder, but nicer). The (nowadays unavailable) full version of the construction kit lets you export NL-track to 3d-objects. In all of the cases, these are just scenery and cannot do anything be stand around, you wont be able to actually put a train on a transfer track. At least, not untill NL2 comes out. RCT3D
Tanks, and what what about my first question: Is it possible to make a custom car/train in NoLimits? If so, how do you make it (Does it need "effect bones", and what would I name those "effect bones", do I need a special program that I need to install it correctly into NoLimits, how do I get that program)? Thanks
Vekoma Fan Boy
^No. You can not make your own cars in NL. However, you can give them a custom paint job by editing the car texture with any photo editing program. These can be found in the NL Root Folder in the "Cartextures" file. Audio111
Hey All I have a quick question concerning the roller coaster simulator "No Limits". Recently I downloaded the demo to give it a try, but when I started it up a message on the bottom of my screen said "Warning!: No 3D Hardware acceleration found." To address this problem I tried downloading the latest drivers for my video card ( I have an Nvidia 9600GT) but it still wouldn't work. Then I tried downloading the latest version of Directx (Directx 10) and it still wouldn't work. I then checked the properties of my graphics hardware and it said "All accelerations are enabled". Anybody know what the problem is? I'm out of ideas. Thanks in advance.

christianscoasters
I'm trying to purchase NL now, but it says I need to put my card PIN number in to complete the purchase. My mom refuses to give her PIN number out. What do I do
COASTER FREAK 11
The site shouldn't be asking you for the pin number. Are you sure its not asking for the security code on the back of the card... If she/you still cant figure it out, there are other ways to pay for it: Click Hope that helps.
christianscoasters
^I ended up using a different card, and that did the trick. Thank you

kingsdominionlvr
I am really really having trouble on building a loop in no limits i am very new to the game but i know how to make a good woodie but i cant really make any other coasters because i don't know how to do any inversions i really need help please help I have not played no limits in a year or so, but I am pretty sure all you have to do is go to the editor, on the upper left corner hit "file", then go down to "insert element". At that point you should have an array of pre-made inversions to pick through (including a loop).
DBru
^^The reason that you can't build inversions is because NoLimits automatically sets each new vertex you build at 0-degree banking. When you want the track to flip upside down, click "Relative Roll" (up by Continuous Roll and Lock).
christianscoasters
I just got NL and have been making a lot of coasters. I save my designs, but for some reason, when I go into the folder to open my file, it isn't there! When I'm on the editor or simulator, it's there, but nowhere else. That's why I haven't uploaded any designs to TPR. Also, when I try to take videos of my coasters, it never works. Same thing for screenshots. It SAYS it took a screenshot, but it's not in the folder. UGH.
nemesiscrazy
Hi there, I have created some 3D's on Google Sketchup, how do you get the 3D's into the correct format so that I can import them into No Limits?

UGH. I must start to ask if you have Windows Vista... I have the samething, at least i think so... try to search after a trackfile that you know exists. Probably it will show up under a strange folder named "Appdata". Witch seem to be like a fast access folder for Vista. Vista saves the track there, probably because it doesn't allow changes to be made in a program folder, without having to ask you all the time. in the word change it's included; new files to be created. If you would install No limits under the folder "Users" instead, i think you would have no problems of this kind. I would suggest, if you not have that many tracks yet, to reinstall No Limits into the Users folder or at least somehow have your tracks folder there, I mean under My Documents. I have to find my files in this strange folder manually and copy it to my No limits library, it's crap!!!! hope it helps...

Save it in the .3ds format..., or if it doesn't work look in the no limits help under the Help menu in the editor. Look for "scene objects". KDCOASTERFAN
Using the "insert element" command can you add pre-made transitions for the bottom of drops & the tops of hills?I'm working on my first attempt at making a coaster in the editor & could really use some help here. dr.gumbo
^ You could if you can find suitable elements that fit together well but isn't that kind of defeating the point of using NL over RCT?

I suggest you don't use the prefab elements. Just play around with the program and get the feel of how everything works. You will get better much faster that way. I finally finished a rather basic out & back steel coaster but seem to have problems with part of the track running through the station in the simulator & I had problems getting my end piece to connect to the station as well....now I have to add supports since they don't appear in the simulator even though I used the auto support option in the editor. How do you select the track type in the editor? My track appears to be the Swarzkoph looping track.
