Still have my fingers crossed for a new Intamin. They could probably fit a nice Zac-Spin coaster where Demon Drop was!

 

That's what my money is on and will continue to be on until they announce whatever the new ride is.

I also rode the one at Thorpe Park and while a unique ride, I kinda had a "meh" feeling about it. I'm not a huge fan of the Top Spin's either so I am hoping that is not what the new thrill ride is for 2011. What did they do with the one at Geauga Lake...anyone know?

Okay, so I wasn't the only one thinking of a Zac Spin where Demon Drop is...I'd think they might even go with a Gerstlauer spinner or a Gerstlauer Bobsled...

Thats cool...I was kind of hoping the bottles of Whyte Lightning from the media teasers would be sold...but I guess time will tell

I was hoping those would be the souvenir cups for this year. Unfortunaty they have red, typical sport bottles.

From what I was told, those are only temporary until Shoot The Rapid's cups arrive.

That would actually be a decent speculative choice if Kinzel hadn't already said it was geared towards thrill seekers.

I think a perfect fit for the Demon drop space would be a S&S Screaming Squirrel...its got a small footprint,and would bolster their coaster count...you can read a description about it here: tinyurl.com/39j6une

^Perhaps an El Loco would be even better. Knowing CP, they'd get a new layout of the ride as well, which would be awesome!

I like the idea of the Screaming Squirrel, but I honestly can't see it happening...I always thought a nice Top Spin with lots of water would be nice there...maybe even tie it in with Demin's Drop history...

Don't know if Sandusky/CP is having the same weather as here- if they are, sure is a shame STR isn't open to help deal with this oppressive heat!

The Screamin Squirrels are TERRIBLE.

 

How about a giant Intamin ZacSpin in place of Demon Drop...THAT WOULD RULE!!!

I'm going to guess it will be a Zach Spin like stated above or LSM version (Ball coaster).If they go with the ball coaster could bill it as the first of its kind/ tallest (what Cedar Point is known for), just my 2 cents.

^I'm pretty sure the collective minds of CP and Intamin could come up with a higher capacity ZacSpin. Just because previous models don't get the greatest capacity doesn't mean newer ones won't.

Made my first visit to Cedar Point today. Great day over all. Decent crowd at the park. There were some schools there doing Physics Day but other than that, it wasn't crazy busy by any means.

 

I'll be going again tomorrow. Hopefully I grow the balls to ride Millennium Force and Dragster before going back to Phoenix. LOL

 

As far as Mean Streak......ride or no ride? Bad or Good?

Yeah, I'd say ride it...at least if the Texas Giant rehab is a success, and they can do the same with Mean Streak, you can at least say you've ridden both, etc etc...

Do not ride Yellow Train. Red Train is ok, but Yellow Train left me with black and blue bruises...
