pkdcoaster Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Just too Crazy! http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14489259/ I think it and UB313 should be a planet especially when a couple of the planets are just Gas. Everything you know is Wrong! JEFF
BeemerBoy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Pluto's not a planet?!?!?!?! Life just isn't worth living anymore. Well, I am really thankful we've got a team of experts working on this stuff. God knows AIDS, Cancer, Healthcare, terrorism, famine, natural disaster relief, the homeless, and countless other diseases and worldwide problems can certainly be put on hold while we study a realm we'll never exist in. "styrofoam ball sales plummet"
Carnage Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 At least Uranus is still a planet. Tee hee hee.
goleafsgo Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 pluto was never a planet. it is just an asteroid that was sucked into the solar system after the other planets were created. that is why it is so small and has such an irregular orbit. (there is some science for you)
crispy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Scientiest can shove it Pluto will always be a planet, the SF giants park will always be Pac Bell, and uranus will always be funny
Carnage Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 ^ I hear the latest probe they sent out found Klingons on Uranus.
CoasterCrazy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 The next discovery by scientists will be that Earth isn't a planet anymore!
goleafsgo Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 why do people even care if Pluto isnt defined as a planet?
goleafsgo Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I think it and UB313 should be a planet especially when a couple of the planets are just Gas. the gas planets arent all gas... their cores are solid and are still larger than earth
Rollerholden Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Pluto's not a planet?!?!?!?! "styrofoam ball sales plummet" That is so true! But I always liked Pluto..oh well, it doesn't matter to me.
SharkTums Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I do wonder how much science will change by the time all of our kids have to study it in school! We won't be able to help them anymore!
pkdcoaster Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 I know I am gonna get an extra $20 school tax next year cause the schools need new Science books I think it is a money making scheme by the Science book makers. I am sure all those experts bought stock in textbook companys last week JEFF
a7x4ever000 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 poor pluto, someone get him a tissue and a tub of ben and jerry's. lol, i really couldn't care less.
WalrusMan Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Some correct science for you: Pluto is not an asteroid that was sucked in, it's a Kuiper Belt Object with an orbit that has ben altered so it doesn't stay in the Kuiper Belt all the time. Now, if you were to have Pluto as a planet, even if you establish it as the smallest diameter "planet" you have, you're still going to have to add several planets, adding many more every time more are discovered. I do like it though, Pluto was never a true planet, not as rocky as the inner planets, not as gassy as the outer planets, a hunk of rock and ice from the outer limits of our solar system. Poster & Science book makers, Unite!
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I do wonder how much science will change by the time all of our kids have to study it in school! We won't be able to help them anymore! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. WTF!?!?!?!!? I never knew there was another planet between mars and jupiter!! This is too much to handle!!!!!!! *head explodes* *splort*
CoasterFanatic Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Pluto is not a planet. He is a dog! Everyone knows this ... sheesh.
Angry_Gumball Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 We've all been told a lie our whole lives that pluto was part of our solar system...Anyone know the old saying that helped us remember the planets "My very educated mother just served us nine pizza pies"? Well, it is now (came up with at work yesterday) "My very well educated mother just served us nothing" Anyway, that sucks that the ball of ice is no longer a planet.
niiicolaaah Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 At least Uranus is still a planet. Tee hee hee. That was the first thought I had. We are brain twins. Or just maturity level twins.
Carnage Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 ^ I'd vote on maturity. Even more interesting then this Pluto thing is the theory they came up with too keep Earth from being destroyed when the sun dies in a few billion years. Link The first thing I thought of after reading that is "Nasa would make another unit conversion error and would just send that world killing asteroid right into Earth".
mmousefan Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 At least we can keep uranus rigth where it is. I dont want him near me! Because I think is one of those gasy you talk about.
waterviper Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Jesus christ scientists, if it isn't broke why fix it!!???
bigjohnson51 Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 little kids in elemantary schools learning about planets, are probably now in depression
coasterfan200692 Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 if the thing has its own moon it should be a planet.
goleafsgo Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 if the thing has its own moon it should be a planet. thats not the definition of a planet.
