Solo rides?

Every morning of the 05 season I either had to be a test dummy on Nitro or Batman. Working there..ahh.I miss it.

Yea, I've been the only person on Talon, Laser, Thunderhawk, and Wild Mouse (all front left) at Dorney. But I dont really count the Wild Mouse one cause it only holds 4 people. And yes it is a little strange cause the ride ops look at you a little funny.

I once waited 15 minutes for a solo ride on Mean Streak. It was hilarious.

 

The best solo ride I ever got was on Raptor. Front seat! It was so awesome. I should have bought the photo. I got that after a big rain storm scared everyone else out of the station.

 

It was four people and myself. The ride opened, and they went to the front seat. I told the ride hosts to let me on the next train in the front and to not let anyone else on. Once I got on, they closed the gates. That was the single best ride on Raptor I've ever had.

The Incredible Hulk at IOA. I was in the last row in one of the middle seats. The ride was actually quite rough without a full train, it was not too enjoyable.

Canobie Corkscrew and Yankee Cannonball. Just like any other ride.

 

 

EDIT. I just reread the first post ther were other people on those rides but i was a "sad and pathetic" solo rider.

The only ride I rode solo with no other riders would have been my NL coasters...other than that, all of the rides had some people on it.

I have been on the grand national at Blackpool on my own. I was only 18 and it was the last train of the night. It was dark and cold but an amazing experience.

I would probably credit it with starting my coaster fanaticism (sp?)

Unfortunatly, I have never ridden a coaster alone before. Although I was almost alone once, when I was riding the Pepsi Ripsaw at the Park at MOA. I sat in the front seat, and there was one person in the far back of the train. But it kind of felt like it though (it also felt nice with that gentle breeze in the front, and the chlorine smell of the park. ).

I have had more then a few rides where I was the only rider... But the best I think was on the Comet at TGE. Opening day 2004 (parks 50th season) I got the first ride of the day/season on Comet all to myself

Does riding with a ride op count?

I went on Revolution @ SFMM once and I was the only one but I was kinda small (I think) cos the ride op sat next to me. He asked if I was scared and I was like "no." He was prolly like, "Then why the heck did I get on?" Lol it was weird...

I use to be able to sit on freefall for atleast 5 mins at a time without anyone else walking up the queue. Now that Acro is down for the count, there has been a lot more guests riding.

Sadly, there are plenty. Dominator and Hydra, for example are mucxh rougher than any self-respecting floorless should be. Even more, Talon is a migrane waiting to happen.

 

Zen rides. Let's see...

This doesn't really count, but I got a rare zen ride on Timberland Twister at MOA during PresCon. You spin about as much as you would with three people in the car.

 

This probably doesn't count either, but I was alon on Screamin' Swing at Dorney. Not to mention the countless single flyer rides on skycoasters.

 

I had a night ride on Timber Wolf alone at Coaster Mayhem. That was pretty awesome. It was running really smooth that night and I was in row one. It was almost eery.

 

At CoasterCon last year, I had a zen ride on Zeus in the back row just as it started to rain and everyone was leaving. That was an awesome ride. It's a little creepy to be back in those woods at night, and even more creepy when you're alone.

Bluestreak at Conneaut Lake Park a couple times and it is smother with only one.

 

And Dragon Mountain at Marineland when I got there I headed straight to the Mountain and was the only one on the first ride. It was cool.

I've been on many rides all by myself.

 

I've gotten rides on Phantom Flyers and Scream Weaver at PC. I'm sure I got a coaster ride or two by myself as well during Carowinds ERT this summer.

 

Platinum Passholder ERT is awesome! I hope CF doesn't kill it.

I managed to get probably 6 rides on Avalanche at Timber Falls before another person got on the ride. The ride experience didn't change, but it was strange that no one else was on the ride for so long.

Splash Mountain! I was so lucky! I arrived at MK at exactly 8 a.m. and I just went straight to the ride! I'm the first rider! Yayyy!

Front row on Kingda Ka by meself several times in a row, all alone!

They had to overlaunch the train to get it to make it over the top (no mass to the train). There actually was some airtime over the top!!

This was during the Childrens Miracle Network event that they held earl;ier this year...and only 20 people showed up!

Even more amazing was it didn't break down!

I went on Jurassic Park at USH all alone, in the middle of a hot day over spring break! It was the weirdest feeling being all alone in that huge boat with all of the effects working for you and no one else. It was very erie and a lot scarier (even though it is never scary to me). It is just very odd to have all of the effects going and to be by yourself.

I havent, but i think i might on thursday when I go to magic mountain with my friend and we go striaght to batman at opening.......then it wont just be me cause my friend and a few of his friends will be on it....nevermind, I think it would be a stange, empty feeling...haha

I've ridden High Roller solo. I didn't think that the train was going to make it back to the station after being almost completely stopped in the trims at the end of the turnaround.
