I too, have seen the construction in the parking lot by DA. I remember last year there being some survey markings around that area as well. With the recently submitted plans to build a parking lot near the back of the park, that frees up some spots to be removed in the main lot.

I wonder how well the attendance at DA has fared since Jurassic World came out and broke box office records. That could influence CF's decision to renew/let that contract go. Either way, I think that a dinosaur themed ride should replace all CF DAs.

New construction that whole area is being blocked by yellow fences and gates

It looks like it's probably just landscaping, although it's possible that it could be for future expansion since that's where some cones were located at the end of the 2014 season.

On another note, do the rest of you think RipTide may be on its way out soon? RipTide seems to have the most downtime of any ride in the park, and a lot of other parks have removed their HUSS Top Spins in recent years. RipTide also never has longer than a one-cycle wait except for on hot days.

I've seen Rip Tide running twice in the 9 visits I've been this year.

My 6 and 2 year Olds live Dinosaurs Alive. We go everything we are there. It is however almost always just us or maybe 3 other sets of people walking through it at a time. For $5 a person it's definitely skipable if you're not toting a season pass. If they do consider changing it I would like to see it spruced up with more foliage and not entire dinosaurs exposed in the open. It takes away from the intrigue. I get that it's stretched out so those that paid the 5 bucks don't feel ripped off by how short it is so they could even just condense it down and maybe throw a few more dinos around the rest of the park. The gift shop is solid however and themed well.

It is down just as much as it is up and running so it would not surprise me to see it leave. I just hate to see flat rides being removed if they don't get replaced. SuperKat could go too, I just never see that ride more than half full even on a busy Saturday. Maybe it just needs a better location. On a different note I used to want to the see the Enterprise get restored but now that I have seen the NEW design for the Enterprise I want to see that at VF instead. Pictures below.

How about adding a Xcalibur thrill ride like the one at Six Flags St Louis? For the month of July the Extreme Swing and Power Tower will be open for early ride times that's next after planet snoopy.

The only company that still makes a similar model is Fabbri, who I'm unsure that Cedar Fair would do business with as they are more of an uncommon company in North America. CF works on a loyalty system and usually they keep going back to the same manufacturers for new attractions.

The new Enterprise model is intriguing though. I'm not sure why they died out in the first place, as wherever I go they seem popular. Could be a great way to refurb old models and make them more efficient again.

Renegade is down this morning maintence work. Decided to ride Wild Thing for a hour this morning instead of Renegade. One thing this morning watching Wild Thing train three runs all the way through the brake run and doesn't slow down till coming into the station pretty fast I'm curious to see how they will run all three trains and talking with one of the ride operators this morning on Wild Thing will run all three trains on the 4th of July without stacking them up. They were testing all three trains this morning. I'm going to be there on the 4th of July 9:00am till 1:00pm to watch Wild Thing three train operation.

We ride supercat every time and that may be simply because there is never a wait. It would fit well in Route 76 theme wise but where in R 76 could it fit? Maybe take the fence down under Wild Thing in front of Steel Venom. It would be a good ride to hop on quick when the waits are high for Scrambler, Antique Autos and Tilter

Move the supercat were the chaos sits nothing but flags there and have the ride do some referbishing newer building around supercat bring back the cover to. Anyone know why the took the cover off? Also have supercat go foward a few times then on the backwards have the cover go over the car. Tear down the amphitheater for the Dark Ride location. We're the midway stage area sits put a Larson Flyers there and under the Wild Thing turn around add a Wind Seeker you can go as high as 275 feet ideal spot for one. That's how I would develope the front of the park.

Upthread someone mentioned that guests couldn't behave themselves when out of site of ride operators on the SuperCat. Which is a shame because it was considerably better with the cover on.

It does seem like a good idea, if they're going to keep it, to move it to the lame flat rides area (Route 76), along with Wheel of Fortune. For Wheel of Fortunes old site, I'd suggest another Caribou coffee with some indoor and covered outdoor seating. SuperCats site maybe they can reuse the building for a permanent haunt structure, or expand and rebuild the restrooms.

If we're going to get a Windseeker, I'd rather have it at the back where there's a higher height limit and to have a weenie to draw people back there.

Does Frazier read emails? He never responded to one I sent.

Just wondering about our rest rooms. Does anyone think we need to upgrade our rest rooms or make them bigger? Also the Storm Chaser at Adventureland in Iowa is only 260 feet. Can we go above 300 feet?

Frazier does read emails depends on what you ask him I sent him a couple a while ago but he can't comment on emails for ideas for the park.

Northern lights

Just wondering about this to every time it rains northern lights is closed so if it rains you can expect the ride to be closed is there a reason? They can't run the ride when the track is wet?

Upgraded restrooms would be nice, but I don't think they're a necessity. As for Windseekers, I think Cedar Fair is probably done with them because the existing ones have been mechanical nightmares.

All of Cedar Fair's Windseekers are over 300 feet. They're 301!

If Cedar Fair built one they would probably stick with 301 feet, but I'm sure that Mondial could go higher if you wanted them to (I know the Funtime SkyScreamer can go over 400 feet.).

Which is probably one reason why we do not have one. I also don't see us ever receiving one due to some of the problems other Cedar Fair parks have had in the past.

its tire driven so when the track is wet the tire slips and it stops itself
