All of those worried about airfares in the U.S., why not try the bus?

From Denver to Cincinnati, its between $168.00 and $287.00, round trip.

Searching airfare (January 5th to 15th) on Continental Airlines is $509, US Airways is $617. The best airfare I could find was on United, $278.60.

ADMIN EDIT...Wasn't Elissa who posted.

SHUT DOWN

It's true though, there can be really odd people on buses. I personally think it'd be worth $200 to fly and get there within 3-4 hours rather than sittin next to redneck jack for 2-3 days on a bus. Unless I roadtrip to Cinncinati, I'll be on the plane

I know that we don't have prices yet for the trip, but how much did other clubs charge for comparable trips? If I recall, the ACE Japan trip was around $3,000. Were there trips through the midwest from ACE, Coaster Zombies, etc.? I'm just trying to get an idea of how much the trips could cost. I know, nothing is set in stone yet, so please don't ban me!

Barry - Why are you asking such a stupid queston? You were on the UK Trip, you realize this is not a typical trip that can be compared to trips by other clubs.

Why are you asking such a stupid question? This is Barry we are talking about! Didn't you meet him on our UK trip

As for price, why speculate. They will have the flyers out in a few weeks anyway.

I am the king of stupid questions.

Anyway, I'm still debating on Japan or the Midwest. I'm leaning towards Japan because I'll probably never do it on my own. The Midwest I can do on my own, but probably not as cost effective as R&E's group trip.

^ That's exactly why I wanted to do the Japan trip next year. Yes it is ALOT of money for someone my age, but I will be at the perfect time to do it. I would be really hard pressed to ever talk someone into doing a coaster trip to Japan with me, and wouldn't want to do that on my own, so a group trip is the perfect solution.

I could do the Mid-West on my own, but a group trip would be alot more fun, so I would atleast like to do that one. Cedar Point is the only park on the trip that I have actually been to. My parents aren't into coasters so I still haven't been to alot of American parks.

A couple of things to think about when they tell us the price of the trips based on the UK trip:

TPR trips are no hassle trips. R & E take care of all the little details of the trip from the moment you land at the airport until you take off at the end. They will even help you find flights if you ask. They do the hotels, park tickets, transportation, they do it all. Priceless!

ERT. The number of hours of ERT was awsome. With only 50 people, it was pretty much unlimited riding. On several occasions we had ERT on 2 coasters at the same time. I rode Nemesis at Thorpe Park for an hour straight. I just switched seats to see what provided the best ride.

They also provided 1 meal a day and it turned out we ended up getting 2 meals a number of days. I saved a lot of money on meals and was way below what my budget was.

Of course there is no guaranty on ERT or meals on future trips but you can count on the no hassle part.

Bob, you did the ACE Japan trip, right? Are you thinking of heading back there with the TPR crew or is it a case of once being enough for you?

^^ Yeah, this first-time group that we are should stop going on and on and on and on and on and on.... and on about how great the tour..... well...

Start downplaying it. Talk about the rain, the food at LightwaterValley, hey - then there's that business about killing wildlife, y'know?

Lou,

Yeap I did the ECC/ACE trip to Japan last year. It was an awesome trip too ..... but for a different reason then the UK trip.

I loved going to Japan so much, I'm going to go back with TPR. I got the OK tonight. I just have to take my wife to the Bahamas for a week. That will be fun but it means I can't go on the Spain trip. It looks like they are going to go to a few places in Japan that we didn't go to last year. Credit wise, I will pick up just about as many new credits in Japan as I would in Spain. I also hope to get to HK DIsneyland while I'm there too. That is my last Disney park to visit.

I figure that combining the great fun of the UK trip with the awesome location of Japan will make this another trip of a lifetime. Each year these trips get better. I'm lookinf forward to a TPR trip to Europe in 2008 already too. I would like to spend more time in London and maybe get out to Alton Towers when heading that way for the 2008 trip.

Just to let everyone know I've just passed my A-Level results, and i really didnt think i was going to so im OVER THE MOOON! Not so over the moon as the trip to Drayton Manor im going on to celebrate! If i get a chance I'll take loads of photos!

Ahem...

Anyway, it does mean that the trips are a definite for me now! I hope Spain and Italy are ready, because it's gonna be wild!

As i said if any fellow Brits wish to meet at an Airport before hand just let me know and we'll see if we can arrange something, just PM me or i dunno use a carrier pidgeon whatever.

All that stuff about the "minor details" being planned by rob and elissa sounds very very nice indeed, and im sure a beer (or maybe a couple) on my part will be some sort of re-payment for such noble deeds.

Laters fellas, im off to go Snowboarding for the day.

Hmm, I dunno if the Japan trip will work for me, actually. I may just stick with the Midwest Trip

I have about $600 saved up right now for the trip, I know it's like... 48 weeks away or something... so $150 a week or so... $7200, hey! Maybe I can do the Japan Trip! Wee!

But right now, I'll be looking more at the Midwest Trip

Well I'm probably only going to be able to make the Mid-West trip, just because that would be a treat enough for me if i could go.

I just have 1 question regarding the park trip. I know alot of the parks selcted on our list of places to go have waterparks (SFGAm, HW &SS, Mt. O, CP, I'm sure I'm forgetting others), will we be visiting those as well? Because I think that the one @ SFGAm looks amazing..
