coastermoosh
Terminator wasn't open because they couldn't get the audio to work, LOL.
Tmcdllr
Well today from Sky Tower I saw maintenance people on Terminator at the top of the lift and a crane at the bottom, of course it was closed again. I hope it opens soon, I only have a couple of days left to try to ride it.
cooksta77
Well Terminator had broken down the day I went.(A week ago) But it was up and running again the same day.
Tmcdllr
I wonder what is going on with it.
ebl
Goliath stops on the lift hill on a fairly regular basis. I've noticed people walking down several times. It's just one of those things. Terminator being closed could have been a number of things. The fact that a crane was there suggests that it had valleyed, but I wasn't there so I can't say for sure. Everything in the park was running fine on August 1 when I was last there. Â Eric
Jew
Crane+mechanics on lift=most likely replacing the lift motor.
ebl
^ That was my next guess. Â How often do they replace lift motors? Terminator is not quite 15 months old yet. Â Eric
PeoplemoverMatt
I don't think there's a set schedule for the replacement of lift motors. Something probably happened that required the motors to be replaced right then & there.
Tmcdllr
I would be surprised if they were replacing the lift motor already, but stuff happens. Â Where is the retro Revolution train, didn't see it anywhere near the ride or transfer track, is it in rehab? Only had the two blue ones there, and one was covered with some advertising, you know, I don't even remember what was being advertised.
ebl
Viper's entire lift chain was replaced within a week or two of its opening in 1990, but that was due to a defect with it if I recall correctly. Â Long story short: stuff happens. Â Eric
SFMM fanboy
Perhaps, there getting rid of that audio changer doo hickey.
Tmcdllr
Didn't they already do that? This was something else. I hope its open tomorrow.
dynastyice
How busy is Six Flags this week so far? How was six flags last Friday? Just wondering because I am going to go up this Friday. I like it when crowds are average ...haha.
MayTheGForceBeWithYou
Weekends will bring large crowds, no matter when you go. I recommend getting a Flash Pass on your visit...waits will exceed an hour for many of the attractions (Especially X2 and Tatsu, both of which get queues of 2-3 hours ). Sir Clinksalot
SFMM just posted the following to their FB page. No explanation as of why. Â Terminator Salvation The Ride is temporarily closed. |> AAH! That makes two cool coasters closed now!
CharlieT.
I went to the park last friday. I had a gold flashpass, which was amazing. Here were the rides waits throughout the day. Â Riddlers Revenge: 45mins - 1hr Deja Vu: 1 - 1.5hrs (couldn't reserve a time, my flashpass kept saying the ride line was FULL) Terminator Salvation: 1hr Goliath: 1hr Viper: 15 - 30mins Goldrusher: 5mins Colossus: 30mins X2: 2hrs Ninja: 30mins Tatsu: 1hr Superman: CLOSED Â I didn't visit Batman, Scream, or Revolution. Sir Clinksalot
Wow, that's a big jump for 1 day between Thursday (when I was there) and Friday. The longest we waited was 10 minutes (and that was taking into consideration Terminator's pre-show). Â We walked on everything else (Batman, Riddlers, Scream, Colossus, Ninja, Goliath, etc). Â I'm not saying those times aren't accurate, and I get that a Friday would generally be busier, but that's a HUGE jump.
Calicoasters
I was hoping Terminator would add another passenger car, that would be awesome if that was the reason for the closure!
fatdaddy
I hope they get those souvenir cup holders at SFMM soon. I don't really take anything that needs to be put in a lock*r, but SFMM is so hot, and the terrain is a workout, I really love the refillable cup. Up until now I been using my wife as a cupholder, pretty sure it was in our vows.
ebl
^ Those cup holders are a good idea, but the thing is that it appears that riders still have to go over to them and put their drinks there. Just like putting stuff over on the shelves, putting drinks into the cup holder will slow down the loading process. That is one reason that the park added the infamous $1 storage containers. Â ^^ At one point, I didn't think a 12th car could be added to the train because of the work that would have to be done to the loading platform to add the air gate for the new Row 12. But I guess it is possible. As for a 12th car on the train itself, technically, it already had one, only it held all the electronical stuff for the now-defunct soundtrack. In fact, a 12th passenger car may even weigh less with passengers than the other stuff (just a wild guess). Â Eric
Top Thrill Dragster
^I believe the cup holders are at the entrance to the rides, not on the loading platform.
CHILLERLC1
Hopefully Maliboomer is for sale and SF could pick it up for SFMM. It doesn't need to be the tallest in the region.
Funky Cold Medina
Yeah but Maliboomer sucks so why pick it up?
OldJJman
Yeah but Maliboomer sucks so why pick it up? Â DingDingDing!! We have a winner!!!!
CoasterPrince
Yeah but Maliboomer sucks so why pick it up? Â ...because it's a new ride for MM that isn't a coaster and extremely affordable if put up for sale. (as oppose to buying a new one)
