a7x4ever000 Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 they should sell it to knotts! get some money!
kraxleRIDAH Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 ^ Are you dumb? What makes you think Knott's would even want to buy it? Just in case you didn't know, the process of a "sale" requires two parties - a seller (that's actually in the market to sell the product) and a buyer (that's actually in the market to buy the product). There is NEITHER a seller or a buyer right now for Flashback.
sixflagstloldschool Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Why not enclose the structure and make it indoor eliminating the screams from the waterpark, and keeping the coaster where it is. The coaster looks like it is in not that bad of shape, and definately needs a little elbow grease. Â Or Move it to St. Louis, we have a great spot for it and could use it also.
Devious Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Flashback has been on my must ride list since i was SIX YEARS OLD, my first coaster ever was the arrow corkscrew and custom looper at gl (double loop), Believe me: I can handle any coaster, son of beast is nothing for me  Move flashback to geauga lake.... then i wont have to fly cross country just to ride it  To those saying "TEAR IT DOWN!!!" - Bug off, it's one of a kind, and most likely WILL BE SPARED and possibly even fixed up, after all, the ride is intamin from when they were with B&M, i'm pretty sure new trains could be plausible for it (B&M Tracking)
ebl Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 "-Almost got my Deja Vu credit but the line was insanely long" (lapseofreason) Â You want your DV credit? Try the single rider line. It's usually not that long. Go in the exit...you'll find it. Â Eric "Just lettin' ya know" L.
lapseofreason Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 ^The single rider line is in the exit? Oh. I didn't know that! Â -Amanda "Watch, it'll be closed next time I go now" V.

Costakid Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 The ride will sit untill the land it is on is needed, I think that can be agreed upon by most. However, what happens from there? As others have said, it is one of a kind, so will it be carefully taken apart and put into storage until a proper home has been established? The flip side from that argument is that there hasn't been a clamoring for parks to contact Intamin for a ride of this type, so there isn't going to be a huge market for this coaster to be sold, so would MM just cut their losses and tear it down and scrap it? Â Discuss
Top Thrill Dragster Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I just read from RCPRO that X will be down for two weeks because of a broken computer chip, is this true?
Twister II Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 they should sell it to knotts! get some money! Yep yep. Wrap it up in a lil' heart shaped box with a pretty pink ribbon, and send it RIGHT OVER! Â Â Okay, I'm a lifeguard. WTF are these HH lifeguards bitching about? Seriously, I work at an indoor pool, with a lazy river, tip bucket, 2 speed slides, drop slide, a huge kiddy area, as you can imagine it gets quite loud in there. Not to mention the music usually playing over the PA. When you are a lifeguard, you don't always use your ears, especially when you have the noises of waves crashing and buckets pouring out 300 gallons of water ever minute. You use your eyes. Lifeguards are trained well enough that Flashback shouldn't be a distraction. Â If your a lifeguard now a days, you'd know, you'll look for ANY reason to close down the pool, or to get off a shift. Â -Taylor :trashcan lid bangs: "THUNDER! EVERYONE OUT! GO HOME!" Radford
vjgx Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 ^ From what I read at RCPro, the computer chip that relays the train's location information isn't working, and it will be closed for at least a week or two... Too bad, I'm going to MM tomorrow!
incredicoaster Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 isnt X down because something happened to the lift hill engine.
vjgx Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 ^^ Meh... I don't know. Like I said, I'm only going by what the users on RCPro apparently "know".
Mr.Six Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 ^....ummm...no. Unless you actually do know; which if you do your not really suppose to say it to the world. Let's just say, its down for now and will reopen soon. _six

ECZenith Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Why would it be so ridiculous for X to have a computer problem? To say something blew up is a little dramatic, I can't remember the last time any part of a coaster exploded randomly... Â What I really wish would happen to Flashback would be to see it go to a small family-run park that needs a steel coaster badly. The ride is so unique and could still draw crowds where it is needed. Â I don't know why I'm so fascinated with this coaster, but if it ends up running somewhere, you read it here... I'm flying out to ride it!
Loser_nerd Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 For those of you who are intrested, the left side of superman was running yesterday. It was realy wierd going into it the opposite way.
sixflagsmagicmountain Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 ^ I know, I've only been that way one other time. If only they would run both sides.
Golfie Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 HAHAHAHA!!!! Â WTF?!?? Â Â Andrew "I'd love to have some of what you're on" C.
coasterjunkie91350 Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Didnt they burn out the lims on that side and were never going to fix it ?
Blazen_AZN Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 ^ Indeed, now they're running it on the hopes and dreams of sfmm fanboys everywhere that flashback will reopen. Its actually quite efficent and enviormentally friendly.
