The "Post your favorite Simpson Quotes" Game

Mine is in my signature! -
I think it's that ride with a camera that rotates around to follow the train through a helix . I can't think of the name of it though.

Favorite Coaster Color Scheme
nannerdw replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Tennessee Tornado has a great color scheme, red with painted-on rust spots to give it an "old" appearance. -
Which gives more feelings?
nannerdw replied to Superdasher's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I only got "that feeling" on Face/Off, Twisted Twins, Freefall @ SFOG, and Raptor. No other coaster has ever done it. It seems to me like the first ride of the day always affects me the most. But drop rides give me that feeling no matter when I ride them. I prefer huge drops over launches. Out of the launch coasters I have been on (Wicked Twister, FoF @ PKI, and IJST @ PKI), the launches were definately thrilling, but weren't as good to me as the first drops on rides like Gemini, Magnum XL 200, and MF. -
A Bizarre Coaster Fact
nannerdw replied to pagemaster_b's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
On the Nautic Jet, it doesn't matter where in the water it lands. Making a coaster jump a gap would be much different. I could actually see this happening on something like a flying turns, where the car isn't attatched to the track. The landing track would have to be really wide, though, just in case the car flew out of control in the air. But I realize that it would still be extremely dangerous. It most likely won't ever happen. -
Roller Coaster Triva
nannerdw replied to pagemaster_b's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You mean they rolled a tire along the track (which I just can't see happening), or they cut a tire and bent it into the shape of a corkscrew? -
I think that on Ninja @ SFOG, sitting on one certain side will make you closer to most of the headchoppers. Also, I like to sit on the very left on Georgia Scorcher. It makes the banked camelback right before the corkscrew so much better, since you are up six or seven feet higher than the person on the far right.

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
nannerdw replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So, the entire queue will be inside this building? That seems odd, but that's sort of like Tennessee Tornado's station, with the queue, station, and arcade all in the same building. -

Does anyone know what the station will look like? This pic. only shows the surrounding buildings. Will it be like those other buildings, except 3 stories tall? -
Your favorite track support!
nannerdw replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love Mindbender's headchopper support! -
I guess my home park would be Beech Bend, except I have never been there. It's only an hour and a half away. SFOG is more of a "home park" to me, even though it is 4 hours away. I go there all the time. My favorite coasters are all of them! even Ninja! The best flat/ tower ride is Freefall, but if I ride Acro when I go back in April, I'm sure it will soon become my favorite.

Mindbender is one of my favorite coasters. The powerful tilted helix just amazes me every time I ride it. I'm glad that ride has some good airtime, since I would probably black out in those loops if the whole ride was positive g's like Batman: The Ride. This is a great video; thanks Robb!

redunzelizer: Sea Dragon at Wyandot Lake? Robb: Georgia Cyclone (just a random guess)

What is Your Favorite Themed Ride
nannerdw replied to America Sings Freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would give King's Island 3 thumbs up for their 3 awesome themed rides: IJST, Flight of Fear, and Tomb Raider. Dollywood's Daredevil Falls deserves honorable mention for being the 2nd best log flume I have ridden. 1st obviously goes to Disney, but apparently they don't count. -

1. I would probably keep my review down to one post, since I never to go more than one park in the same trip. 2. It's really fun to get a new update every day, rather than just having a bunch of new pages to look through. -

Wow, 1128 new members last June, compared to only 90 in May! -
There is a very similar ride called "Experience." http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/experience.html For some reason, I trust these types of carnival rides more than rides like the Rock-O-Plane or the Scrambler. They just look a lot more sturdy and less likely to fall apart.

Wow, this looks like it could be as good as Thunderhead  -
The bast carnival I ever went to was in the mall parking lot on a Thursday night. My friend and I were literally the only people there, and we got unlimited ride wristbands for only $12 each! We got to ride the Orbiter, 1001 Nachts, and Kamizaze over and over. Unfortunately the Chance Chaos that was there was not open . The carnival also had go-carts and a skyscraper ride, which were $10 extra per person, so I skipped them.
