Out of the 10 that I rode: 1. Magnum XL 200: A+ for great airtime and intensity 2. Millennium Force: A- for a great rush, but somewhat low intensity 3. Raptor: A- for the amazing vertical loop and smoothness 4. Blue Streak: B+ for great airtime 5. Gemini (Blue): B+ for short wait and overall fun-factor 6. Wicked Twister: B+ for the unique twisting backwards freefall 7. Wildcat: B- for being somewhat small and carnival-ish 8. Disaster Transport: C- for slow lift, short ride, and low intensity 9. Corkscrew: C- for headbanging, but it still has one of the best vertical loops ever 10. Iron Dragon: D- for having a slow lift and being bumpy and annoying

What's your favorite Flat ride?
nannerdw replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Rock-O-Planes are undoubtably the best flat rides I have ever ridden. I love when I can get the car to flip itself over and over. I like to brake the seat in the upright position at the top and hold it there so that I am upside-down at the bottom. I always try to balance the car at the perfect angle to keep it upside down all the way from the top down to the bottom. One time I successfully balanced the car upside down for one full rotation. It was the most amazing ride I had ever experienced. Last year the ride-op told me that he had fun watching me, because the way I manouvered the seat was like an art form . At the yearly carnival I am normally the only person there on the night when they sell the unlimited ride wristbands, so I tell the ride-op to keep the ride going for about 15 minutes. I think this year I will try to convince them to let me get onride videos. -
I was in line for MF for about an hour, and right when I got up to the station it started pouring down rain. The people who were coming off the break run into the station were telling people not to open their eyes. I didn't understand what they meant by this at first. While going up the lift hill, it was raining so hard that I could not see the lake from the top of the lift hill. It was my first and only ride on MF, and I was absolutely terrified. While going down the first drop, the rain was just hitting me in the back, but when the train leveled out, the rain was stabbing me in the face at 93 mph. I could only open my eyes in the tunnels. At the end of the ride I was drenched, but I had a great time. Even though it was a painful experience, I wanted to do it again.

Number Of times Ridden A Roller Coaster
nannerdw replied to sfdlfan11's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The most times I have ridden an actual coaster in a row was 3 times on Twisted Twins. It was my first roller coaster. At Evan's Plunge (I think it's in South Dakota), I rode the indoor freefall waterslide for 2 hours straight. Right when I got off I would get back on, and there was no line! At Nashville Shores I rode the Tsunami (One of those half pipe type slides) over and over for about 2 hours. The other day I went deep-sea fishing in the Florida Keys, and the boat I was on was going really fast over the waves. I sat in the very front of the speedboat, which went up about 10 feet in the air over each wave, and I got seven hours of consecutive "bunny hills" with some GREAT airtime. I had to hold onto a rope the whole time so that I wouldn't fall out of the boat! When we slowed down every once in a while to actually catch some fish, it was similar to being on a long MCBR and waiting patiently for the speed to pick back up again . Too bad it wasn't a real credit -
This park has been in consideration ever since the tragic closing of Opryland. They were originally planning to call it Thrillopolis (worst name ever). I doubt it will be built any time soon, but if it is, it has already been planned to include mostly giant huss rides. I would be overjoyed to get a theme park so close to me (only a 25 minute drive!)

I think a spinning coaster with inversions would be awesome. A spinning flyer would be cool too. A 300 ft. tall spinning coaster with a vertical drop. A ride that goes along the whole track sideways. Seats that do barrel rolls, similar to the X concept. A tilt coaster that flips forward 270 degrees so that the people flip upside down and then go down the vertical drop backwards! Suspended swinging seats through inversions. A huge ferris wheel that spins like those nauseating gyro ring rides.

I'm the skinny one in white who looks like he's dying. Sorry for the bad quality. It's a picture of the screen, because I am very parsimonious. (Big word! :dork: ) I had my hands up for the first drop, but the rest gave me a headache. I still love this ride, though. It made my top 5 list. Every onride photo I had that day looked weird. When I was on Millennium Force it was raining really hard, so it hurt to open my eyes. Right when I could open my eyes inside the second tunnel, the camera strobe light flash caught me by surprise, causing a very strange look on my face. I wish I could have gotten a picture of it. My Raptor photo was funny, too. I had a really serious look on my face, and I had tears rolling straight back on my face. Wes "I always cry on fast rides" D.

Silliest coaster ever ?
nannerdw replied to nemesis-storm's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Chickens are cool 8) , especially when you get to sit inside one! http://rcdb.com/ig2567.htm?picture=1 -
It won't run on my computer at all. After I install it and click to run it, it doesn't open, and it gives me an error message. I have already found the problem, my graphics card. I have an Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440 with AGP8X. I think it is not working because the card is an MX series. I need some help with getting it to run without buying a new computer or graphics card.

RCT3, My first SUPER park
nannerdw replied to crispy's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I have an Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440 with AGP8X, and it won't run RCT 3. I still got to play it once or twice on my sister's computer. -
I loved Thunder Run, but it was quite rough. It was my first ever ride on a woodie (Twisted Sisters/Twins doesn't count because of its ugly steel supports.) The best airtime I have ever experienced was on Magnum XL 200. Somehow I started daydreaming and falling asleep during the pretzel turn, so the airtime on the bunny hills literally took me by surprise. Many people would say that MF has a ton of airtime, but I only noticed airtime on the first drop, maybe because it was raining really hard and I was in pain from the raindrops pounding my face.

Best Haunted Houses!
nannerdw replied to CoasterEricHP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
around halloween each year a place in Nashville, TN has a haunted house called the haunted prison. I heard it is great, but I don't particularly like haunted houses, so I've never been to it. -
I was thinking "Dolly want a cracker?" after Dolly Parton's bird-like appearance, but I think "Experience the NanNerdiness" would be better.

Hey, Robb, have you ever been to Nashville Shores waterpark? http://nashvilleshores.com/ It is a fun little water park in downtown Nashville, TN. Also, there is a little amusement park in downtown Nashville that I have never been to. It has a compact Pinfari coaster and a Dragon Wagon with a unique layout. I wouldn't make a trip just to go to these places, but it would make a nice stop on the way to a theme park. http://rcdb.com/pd940.htm
