  1. I REALLY love German fairs. What is not to love-beer, cool rides, food and women dressed in Oktoberfest outfits.
  2. I am already shaking in anticipation of opening day riding Falcons Fury. This area is long overdue for an update and will have ALOT of guests just watching FF rather than riding it...lol
  3. It will be cool if KI place speakers around the que and/or station area and have that Banshee scream every few minutes and use a webcam to watch the peoples facial expressions when they hear it.
  4. I am really....reallllllllllly looking forward to this park! Yea, I admit I have been on mice chat a few times and think it is a 'tabloid' magazine..lol
  5. I really enjoy looking at the photos and some of the angles you capture-great job!
  6. Im sure Santa can envision the ride with that webcam shot!
  7. I really like this coaster and will be a good addition to KK. I think the crowds will eat this up especially with a 48'' height requirement. It showed a 800pph capacity with 2 trains in operation...hmmm
  8. It will be interesting where these rides and coasters actually end up. I also think SF will purchase some of these flat rides, but I'd also think some could be gobbled up and find a home at perhaps Kings Dominion or even a smaller park looking for a good deal. I'd really love to see my home park, Busch-Williamsburg, get a flat ride or two and find a home in the park.
  9. now THAT looks cool! I'm looking forward to both TPS and NL2, but NL2 will keep me occupied until the TPS game is out.
  10. Drachen Fire (opening day)-about 2 hrs. Although I worked at the park during that time, it was my day off and I was unable to get on it during sneak-peak day because of the weather and cold temps.
  11. I would not pick either ride. If I 'had' to pick a B&M wingrider, I would pick Raptor @ Gardaland just because I really enjoyed the theme of the ride and it doesn't feel like a parking lot coaster.
  12. I agree with AJ, I don't really care for the support structure. But, it is your design and you have to be creative at times and do things outside the box.
  13. Of all the new coasters opening up in 2014, I think Helix is the one I am looking forward to the most! This and Balder in same park? -that is a winner for me
  14. I bet the residents of Kingsmill were thrilled when DF was taken down. They complained left and ride about the noise from the coaster. I do miss the LED lighting on the side of the trains at night. *Side note: Anyone seen all the track sections of the flume missing? BG is putting alot of $ and effort to keep that flume ride open....coming up on 40th Anniversary pretty soon. here are some great photos of the park (including park construction) "Back in the day" links: http://touch.dailypress.com/#section/-1/gallery/p2p-49691936/ http://touch.dailypress.com/#section/704/gallery/p2p-78447220/
  15. I am really looking forward to ALL the RMC rides in 2014. This one looks fun as well.
  16. This does look like a splash-battle. I am looking forward to the theming!
  17. I actually like the color scheme! It would be interesting if they put lighting effects around the ride.
  18. that was a really cool video. Not sure if all the effects at the KI location are still being used, but the Kings Dominion park, the ride effects have been less over the past couple of years. I think the pre-show effects still make the ride.
  19. Nice work. For some odd reason, every time I see the sky wheel I think of Eddie Murphy hanging from that ride in Beverly Hills cop movie.
  20. Park looks nice. My only suggestion is to add a bit more landscape and terrain (hills, valleys) around the coasters. The edges of the park look nice and the rest of the middle looks almost like a parking lot with all the flat areas. You can keep the coasters "as-is", just put some terrain around the ride and structure areas. Keep up the momentum.
  21. I am looking forward to purchasing this and hopefully incorporate some ideas I have been toying around with! Love the detail.
