He almost appears as if he could have been on a Led Zeppelin (or Black Sabbath) Christmas album...err CD cover! I LOVE Europa Park, but never made it for a Christmas event. Guess I am going to add that to my bucket list now. -

I'm interested how the theme of the ride will turn out. I enjoyed Krake and hope it will at least be on par with that. -
Holiday Park Discussion Thread

It will be very interesting how they will incorporate that into the theme. For now, they could add Christmas lights and call it the Corkscrew Christmas tree. -
Really loved the photos! I remember going to Air & Space museum when I was a kid and still think it is awesome today! Good to see another Shuttle on display

What if Jurassic Park was real?

If John Hammond really existed and "sparred no expense" -
Some I have seen: Guests 'name dropping' someone they know at the park in order to get a special access. Not following safety rules by ride attendant or safety spiel. Guest think they are owed the world or something when they were slightly inconvieneinced by a ride shutdown or delay (some parks provide some sort of pass). 1 guest holding a spot in line while the rest of the group "went to bathroom" or got something to eat and the group tries to intimidate others in line for speaking out about the line cutting.

Best Theme Park Chain
Jon Sabo replied to vertgforces's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hard not to go with Disney, although everyone seems to try and copy Disney with some aspect of a theme, operation, design... I think each chain has some good (and bad) issues, it just depends on each individuals perspective of what makes the park chain his/her favorite. -

Those are some nice photos! Then again, ANY coaster in the snow is pretty awesome. -
Best Ride and Coaster Names
Jon Sabo replied to Thelegendarymatthew's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Some favorite Ride names that come to mind: Alpengeist Kraken Drachen Fire (was cool name back in the 90's) Katun Tatsu Manta -
It would have been cool if Hydra would have a small pond with alligators around the jo-jo roll area.

Zero-G roll (especially on Kumba & Katun) and the Dive loop. -
Horrible Park Operations
Jon Sabo replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would agree with the BGT operations. I worked for BGW and was amazed how different the two parks operate and thought it was just a 'bad' day for BGT. I have noticed that the park (BGT) does have some good days and some days are not so good. Operational budgets will certainly have an effect on future operations as they find ways to save money. -

Best and Worst Rides for Maintenance
Jon Sabo replied to Solipsisto's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Having worked for a BG park, I would say B&M has some of the best for maintenance. Worst-many water-related rides. The pumps, the ride/track area, the lift and the control units. The ride vehicles require ALOT of maintenance in the off-season to keep them running efficient during the peak season. It is amazing at the amount of off-season work BGW goes through to get the rides ready for the next season.
