  1. Is Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree the same one from Walt Disney Studios in Paris? Doesn't that seem slightly redundant considering Francis' Lady Bug Boogie is one land over and the exact same ride? Then again, this is Disney with it's multiple Spinners; just seemed like they could have came up with another ride type to dress up.
  2. I have no idea whats going on with this project, but that video was ingenious from a marketing standpoint! I'll wait for the animated POV lol.
  3. That would be a common term used primarily among homosexuals and sometimes females to infer they have some knowledge of sports to appear more "butch" or manly but not actually knowing anything about actual sports such as the supposed use of a bat during the the game of Football. aka it's a joke.
  4. AMERICAN RABBIT!!!!!!! That was hands down my favorite VHS as a kid (that and one of the Ewok spinoffs, but we won't get into that one...). I would totally kill... ... a spider for an action figure of him.
  5. Funny, I'm in a similar boat as many people here in that I can't see without some form of vision correction, but I'm not nearly as paranoid with my actual glasses. Usually I try to wear my contacts when visiting a park, but the few times I've had glasses on I've ridden every ride I could with them on without worry (including using the cheap $1 straps Cedar Point sold when I worked for the park) and they have been fine. The only time I've EVER had a problem was once on Desperado when I was much younger and they made me put them in my pocket, they got crushed and flew out on the bunny hills. Luckily this was on the way home from Vegas during the summer so not a huge loss aside from my parents having to get me a new pair.
  6. I got a job in a factory and have lost about 30 pounds in about 3 and half months while still eating large ridiculously bad portions and remaining fairly inactive during my days off lol. I wonder what kind of weight loss i would have if I actually tried.
  7. Actually they were, before 1999 (or sometime around that I think) the crews were one sex or the other (Raptor for instance was an all male crew when it opened) so Disaster Transport and Corkscrew were all female crews hence the all female leads on the rides.
  8. I've been on a Move-it 24 (The smaller single arm version of this) and Robb's right, it's not nearly as bad as it looks, I love the ride, but there are plenty if other rides that can do more. And not being able to market a flat ride is complete BULL, just saying.
  9. ^That's funny coming from a Jew!
  10. Uh, Wet 'N' Wild. Anyway, I agree with the notion that there just hasn't been enough added to justify the massive influx of people that they will see this year with the major addition of Wizarding World of Harry Potter before. I've been there three separate occasions, and honestly, if it wasn't for WWoHP I would have no problem skipping both parks when I head out in November since I've done it all so many times.
  11. To answer a few of your questions from a slightly different point of view, I would say your decision to go to Disneyland is whether or not you go to Disney World because it's Disney World or because it's the biggest thing to do in Orlando. It's definitely different enough that if your Disney fans you can not feel like you're at the same park in Orlando (plus it's only one and a half parks) but if your not don't feel horrible on skipping out. Keep in mind about Universal Studios Hollywood is that it's first and foremost a film studio that has a couple of solid rides and shows as opposed to Universal Orlando that is pure theme parks and you won't find nearly as much to do there. You could probably combine one of the Studio Tours and USH in one day if you wanted to. I've heard nothing but good things about the WB VIP tour (but if you are Hollywood film fans, then I doubt any of the tours would be time wasted) and you can get in Hollywood sight seeing. If you wanted to check out a taping of a late night Show or a game show, check out http://www.1iota.com or TV Tix about a week or two before your trip and see if anything stikes your fancy. Jimmy Kimmel Live (through 1iota) records his show later in the evening (7:45pm) and it's right near the Kodak theater and Manns Chinese Theater (or basically what everyone thinks of when they think "Hollywood") so not too far off from a day of sight seeing.
  12. I still love that this park has TWO rapids rides (one being the mostly dark ride one and the other much more traditional one) but over I really liked the park and I agree that it has some really nice attempts at theming. Thanks for the TR and for bringing back some good memories from the Spain Trip a few years ago!
  13. Best thing I found so far? The new calendar that works properly in Opera AND has selectable blackout days for annual passes built in! Thank you to the powers that be.
  14. Not enough nudity. Looks like a fantastic smaller park that is getting it's legs, can't wait to see more!
  15. I stayed at the Radisson in Freehold, NJ two years ago and it was a really nice hotel (at the time, it was newly remodeled with sleep number beds and flat screen TVs in the rooms) and if I recall correctly, it only took us about 20 minutes to get to the park, not sure of now, but it wasn't too expensive either.
  16. Do you mean September? If so, it's shouldn't be too busy until Friday afternoon as locals get out of School and work, some rides may be down due to Holiday make-overs (notably Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion) or since it's soon after summer ends some attractions may be down for refurbishment. You shouldn't have any trouble doing all the attractions over both days as long as you get an early start (at least for Friday) and use fastpass. If there are Fireworks and Fantasmic! playing, it will most likely only be on Friday night as mid September is considered off season. World of Color (if your interested in it) might still be playing nightly by then, but make sure to check Disney's website sometime next month as that is when September should go up. As for the hotel, it's a great location and only about a 20 minute walk to the esplanade.
  17. Sorry to see you stop your TRs, but I understand how much of a pain in the behind the huge ones can be without much response. I just want to say that I did enjoy them as a local as you showed some places I would never go to, like all the train stuff, it's nice to see in pictures, but nothing I would ever try to get to on my own.
  18. ^It actually did, it basically added the additional flavor syrup (peach, strawberry, grape, raspberry, etc) to the original soda's syrup (Sprite, Vault, Coke, Minute Maid, etc) when it dispensed the drink. That's how they get so many different flavor combinations in the one machine. And to prevent re-fills would be pretty easy, just have it near the cash register and have them keep an eye out, it won't stop everyone, but it's not way off in the corner like how DCA had it. I'm also glad these are catching on, I loved me some Peach Sprite!
  19. The closest In N Out to LAX would be This one which is really close to one of the runways if you're into plane spotting, you can eat on the grass and have planes fly right over you. Getting to the Santa Monica pier would actually be pretty easy using public transportation. There's a bus that goes travels to the pier from the airport (Santa Monica Rapid 3) and it should take about an hour or so to get there. You can use the LA Metro site to help you plan out a trip to another tourist spot if you wanted.
  20. it's good they're finally starting around my birthday like Knott's does!
  21. Some of me cause I'm a total photo whore. Yes, that's an invitaion Double Oh Sexxxy (This is at Kimberly Crest in Redlands, CA where my bro got married in April) Enjoying a refreshing Dole Whip Float
  22. awww looks like you guys had fun. I really enjoy taking new people to the parks I frequent the most as it give you a different perspective on things that you forgot or didn't see before. Thanks for the pics!
  23. I know I'm probably not the only one, but I *HATED* the ending to this weeks episode, I liked the song (which leads me to a whole of the rant of the second half of Glee being just the same songs as the originals with different singers as opposed to more of the first half of the season where it was different enough from the original version to be memorable) but I wanted blood shed for what they did to Rachel lol, none of this take taking the high road bullshhh they did lol. Oh well, I'm really freaking excited for next weeks episode and I don't want it to end yet!
  24. ^It's Universal, 95% sure it sprays water on you.
  25. So... Spiderman 2.0? It even has the same basic plot ("travel along with your favorite character in special vehicles as things go awry") I'm not sure if I'll want to wait that long for this (less then 30 minutes I suppose), unless a better video comes out that shows me something amazing (I did like the dragon animatronic though).
