  1. Tivoli Gardens - Rutschebanen (although during my last visit it was temporarily closed due to weather so I went with Odinexpressen instead) Bakken - Mine Train Ulven Liseberg - Helix Hansa Park - Nessie (since Kärnan doesn't open until 10)
  2. I really like the retro design on Jetline's entry sign Even though I was never much of a fan for the coaster itself Kanonen's entry sign was pretty cool
  3. New interview with Roland and Micheal Mack reveals some tidbits about Europa Park's future: http://www.tagesanzeiger.ch/wirtschaft/standardwir-sind-auch-der-freizeitpark-der-schweiz/story/15783104 - VR will be scrapped on Pegasus due to capacity issues and focus will turn to offering multiple VR options for riders on Alpenexpress - Euro-Mir and Eurosat will both see extensive refurbishments in the near future - A new coaster is planned after the construction of the water park (bit unclear here since I'm using Google Translate) - The new hotel is set to open in early 2019 and the water park will open later that year. Construction is set to start in February although they're seeing some delays with materials due to a construction boom in Germany - The new event hall is set to be inaugurated on January 13th - You're going to need pre-book your ticket to the water park as they expect hotel guests to fill up most of the capacity
  4. Surprised this hasn't been posted, a new behind-the-scenes look on Pandora:
  5. Am I the only one that finds it a bit odd that they're closing ToT on the Tuesday after New Year's? Like they aren't even waiting until the weekend to shut it down... Edit: Okay see it now that it's Monday which makes a bit more sense. I just saw the closing date on Wikipedia and assumed it was the last date of operation.
  6. Kärnapulten concept art First look on Kleine Zar's train: Kärnan:
  7. It was originally reported to be getting new trains next year, but I haven't heard anything about it lately. It'll close after New Year's to become Hyperspace Mountain though.
  8. Due to some issues with financies for next year I've decided to revise my plans a bit: - Heide-Park around Halloween and/or Phantasialand Wintertraum - Local parks like Tivoli Gardens, Liseberg and maybe Gröna Lund during summer - Djurs Sommerland if I can work out the logistics
  9. My iPhone isn't very good at taking night pictures, but I think these two from my Liseberg TR turned out okay. I like this one too even if it is a little messy.
  10. I told myself that if I ever got to Japan Space World would be one of the parks I would head to. Such a shame to hear it'll be closing.
  11. Hansa Park is very easy to get through in one day, especially if the lines are short. You'll likely have the whole place covered before lunchtime. Can't speak for Phantasia since I've never been there but Heide-Park would depend on the type of crowds and day since it's a lot bigger.
  12. That's awesome! What did you think of Fluch and Kärnan? I've heard Kärnan is rough, is that true? I wouldn't call Kärnan rough, but it can be very forceful in spots. Fluch has gotten jerkier in the past few years, although it depends on the train.
  13. I can't speak for early in the season from personal experience, but they're usually not that bad even in peak season (July-August) and from what I've seen/heard the park doesn't often see especially large crowds otherwise (unless during holidays perhaps). Fluch and Kärnan are likely to have lines since they're basically the park's two star attractions and the latter is still very new. Everything else should basically be walk-on, especially the water rides since it's still cold in early April.
  14. They call Kärnan a hyper but by this thread's definition it's not so I go with Silver Star as my one and only hyper.
  15. The "Piraten-Burger" snack bar next to Big Loop has been demolished.
  16. Sweden - Helix, Liseberg Denmark - Daemonen, Tivoli Gardens Germany - blue fire Megacoaster, Europa Park US - Expedition: Everest, Disney's Animal Kingdom France - Big Thunder Mountain, Disneyland Paris Malaysia - Supersonic Odyssey, Berjaya Times Square Theme Park Singapore - Battlestar Galactica (Cylon), Universal Studios Singapore Australia - Tower of Terror II, Dreamworld UK - Rage, Adventure Island
  17. ^From watching POVs I agree about the camera that it feels very wonky, like it has a bit of a mind of its own.
  18. Speaking of Blue Fire it almost seems like it would be possible to slam your fingers on the roof of the rock tunnel leading into the horseshoe roll (and the one after the big overbank). I've never dared to attempt it since you enter them at such a high speed (in fact I tend to duck when the train approaches them) but it really gives you the impression that there isn't much clearance.
  19. Vertigo at Tivoli Gardens. Only time I honestly feared for my life on a ride.
  20. Crystal Grotto seems to have already re-opened. https://www.shanghaidisneyresort.com/en/attractions/voyage-to-crystal-grotto/
  21. The website says both are closed for scheduled maintenance, kinda like how Paris closes some of its attractions for the winter.
  22. Not until I get to the park though. I want to try out an RCCA even if I'm certain it'll be horrible.
  23. That's not that high by Disney standards. Ratatouille in Paris cost twice as much IIRC.
  24. This is inaccurate. The Pokémon Company is owned by three partners: Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc, and the company can operate without heavy Nintendo supervision, but Nintendo is the sole owner of the Pokémon trademark. IMG wouldn't be able to use the brand without Nintendo's approval.
