  1. Big Thunder Mountain will re-open on December 9th (this Friday) and Star Tours II will open March 18th along with the renovated Discoveryland station. Hyperspace Mountain will open later in the Spring. http://disneyandmore.blogspot.se/2016/12/breaking-news-big-thunder-mountain-soft.html
  2. Anyone know anything about this coaster? I remember seeing pictures and models of it in the EP Historama center (the big tent-like building that houses the looping restaurant and the monorail station) but there's no record of it on RCDB and the history page on Europa Park's website doesn't offer much information from what I can see.
  3. Given that Moana takes place out in the ocean in Polynesia a mountain locked in a North American-style forest wouldn't make much sense (and before you say Guardians tower; DCA ToT is at least in a somewhat removed part of Hollywood Pictures Backlot and the rest of the land is probably getting a retheme as well eventually). A dark ride in Adventureland would work much better.
  4. That wasn't an IMAscore track tho...
  5. Project V going up And the new event hall next to Silver Star
  6. So was Fluch von Novgorod @ Hansa Par It has a very forceful launch as well. It launches from 0-100 kph (0-60 mph) in just 1.4 seconds. That's an accelaration from 2 G's. Fluch doesn't launch from a standstill, there's a small drop before the LSM kicks in.
  7. ^I don't think such a system would be financially viable, not to mention a logistical nightmare beyond proportion.
  8. B&M - All B&M coasters I've been on have been pretty good at worst but I guess Daemonen wins simply by being the least of that category. Intamin - Supersonic Odyssey GCI - Only ridden Wodan
  9. And they replaced their Log Flume with an SLC years ago so they have nowhere to go but up.
  10. Tripsdrill has announced a new Gerstlauer Sky Fly for 2017 Source: Tripsdrill's Facebook page (That makes it two parks in Germany that'll get a Sky Fly next year)
  11. The court revoked the original building permit - the reason being that a more extensive environmental impact study should have been made before the permit was given - and the coaster will be closed until Kolmården can find a solution (or worst case scenario be forced to tear it down).
  12. ^Looks more to me like it's just behind the hotel. The pointy blue roofs to the far left is the arcade building which connects to Sagoslottet.
  13. Highly unlikely based on its current status. Late April/early May would be a better bet.
  14. Rumors I've heard suggest they'll use up the soundstages behind Transformers.
  15. Nintendo attractions are now confirmed for all three Universal resorts http://blog.universalorlando.com/whats-new/nintendo-universal-parks/

  18. Shut up. Seriously. It's a simulation, not every detail needs to be there. I know what you are speaking about but it does not matter. This is an awesome coaster coming to a new park in a country with practically no good rides. Look at what matters. boy-that-escalated-quickly.gif
  19. Even if the fish were already dead before they froze them, that's still pretty disturbing to look at. I wouldn't go near that thing myself.
  20. Kärnan's final look is quickly taking shape
  21. I might be the only one here taking note of the splash element. Looks pretty wicked the way it's crooked like that.
  22. According to this interview with manager Stefan Sittler-Koidl Prater is getting another coaster next year. No details as to what it is.
  23. Wildfire is technically SBNO too due to the permit issues (man 2016 has not been a good year for European woodies...)
  24. Fastest and tallest coaster in the southern hemisphere: Tower of Terror II, Dreamworld Fastest wooden coaster in Europe: Wildfire, Kolmården Tallest and fastest coasters (in operation) in Germany: Schwur Des Kärnan, Hansa Park and Silver Star, Europa Park Longest bob coaster: Bobbahn, Heide Park Fastest and tallest wing coaster in Europe: Flug Der Dämonen, Heide Park
