  1. Kärnan's tower is finally getting decorated
  2. Just to be clear the newsletter says it'll be in the same location as before, just with a new mat and color scheme.
  3. I like what they're doing with the station and the old Burger King restaurant. Hopefully Balder gets a retheme to fit in with the new surroundings.
  4. I read (themepark.nl) Kanonen will be removed to make place for the dive. I honestly wouldn't care if Kanonen left. In a park with an excellent woodie, a fantastic Mack launcher and an ever-reliable Schwarzkopf Kanonen's roughness and overall mediocrity sticks out like a sore thumb, and Helix already renders it kinda superfluous anyway. Granted the more coasters the merrier, but I won't ever lament its loss if Valkyria is what takes its place.
  5. Likely an error on their end. The press release was supposed to be tomorrow 11 A.M CET.
  6. Looking at the concept art we're getting standard OSTRs like Baron 1898 instead of vests like Valravn. Only 6x3 trains though.
  7. I could definitely see Disney or Universal wanting one of those if they can get it running on a track like the patent suggests.
  8. The Gerstlauer Skyfly has been officially confirmed for 2017, will be called KÄRNAPULTEN - Located in the immediate vicinity to KÄRNAN - Ride height 22m - Minimum height requirement: 125cm Other new additions for 2017: - Kleine Zar - New water effects for Hanse-Fleiger - New 4D movie - New variety show and new special effects show - New bounce mat next to Kärnan A special 40th anniversary annual pass will be on sale for €65 between October 1st and 30th. 9. The new for 2017 suspended coaster will be called Drage Kongen ("The Dragon King") Source: Djurs Sommerland's Facebook page
  10. Outside the local parks (Tivoli, Bakken, Liseberg) and the done deals (Hansa Park) my grand trip for 2017 will be either: Germany tour This trip will include three parks: Phantasialand, Movie Park Germany and Europa Park. PL and MP have/will have coasters I'm very excited to try out (Taron and Star Trek: Operation Enterprise) and I was such a big fan of Europa Park when I made my first visit earlier this year that I'd definitely make my way back there again. If time and money can be allocated I'll make a bonus trip to Heide-Park. Even though I was disappointed with the park during my first visit, I'd like to give it a second chance, especially if they manage to fix up Colossos. Spain tour This one is a bit more ambitious than the Germany one, but it also includes three parks: Parque Warner Madrid, Parque Des Attractions and Port Aventura. This means a trip entirely consisting of new parks and even though I don't expect any of them to stack up to Europa Park, I'm still excited to check them out. Which one I'll pick depends on financing and time in the end. I could have both if I could afford it, but that probably won't happen.
  11. An RMC that would give Wildfire a run for its money would solidify Liseberg as a world-class park if it wasn't already. Of course a B&M invert would be pretty awesome too since it would be unique to the market.
  12. The 2017 ride is going to replace Spinrock. I don't know if a Giant Frisbee can fit into that area.
  13. New concept art of the upcoming hotel and water park: Source
  14. It's official: Project V will be Europe's largest flying theater Source A new website has opened up with a teaser trailer and concept art: http://www.project-v.eu/
  15. A casting call has gone out for Doctor Strange appearance at WDW in the fall, presumably at DHS. Source: Stitch Kingdom
  16. Arrow Dynamics - Log Flume B&M - Hyper Funtime - Star Flyer Gerstlauer - Infinity Coaster Intamin - Plug N' Play Wooden Coaster Mack - Launched coaster RMC - Topper Track S&S - Screamin' Swing Vekoma - Custom Mine Train (Expedition: Everest) Zamperla - Disk-O Zierer - Custom Schwarzkopf (Lisebergbanan)
  17. Europa Park will officially reveal Project V details on September 29th.
  18. If I go to a park for the first time I'll make sure to get all the credits I can, partially because I want to give everything a chance and partially because who knows when I'll get to go there again. If it's a park I've been to before I skip the stuff I don't believe is worth my time and effort. I don't go out of my way to find obscure credits either since traveling is expensive and what parks I go to depends on their overall line-up and if something really draws me to them. For example I wouldn't have gone to Kolmården if it wasn't for Wildfire (there's Copenhagen Zoo about an hour away from me if I just wanted to see animals). I'm probably going to stop caring once I'm up in the multiple hundreds, but I'm looking forward to the big #100, whichever coaster that would be.
  19. Some favourites from this past summer's visits:
  20. Found a POV of the tilt coaster in Wanda Hefei That is one slow-ass tilt.
  21. There's this recurring theme in my dreams where I go to parks I've never been to (often it's one I'm planning to go to in the near future) but I never get to go on the rides I want to go on. Something always gets in the way; either the ride breaks down, or a person stops me and distracts me with some random crap, or I get lost and can't find the entrance for some reason. And it always ends when I finally find the ride and I'm about to go on it. My subconscious never lets me have any fun.
  22. #10 - Crazy Mine (Hansa Park) #20 - Rutschebanen (Tivoli Gardens) #30 - Tornado (Bakken) #40 - Fluch Von Novgorod (Hansa Park) #50 - Teststrecke (Hamburg Fruhlingsdom) #60 - Gröttenblitz (Heide-Park) #70 - Matterhorn Blitz (Europa Park) #80 - Kvasten (Gröna Lund)
  23. Did it? The only source I can find says £13 million. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/c1eac800-12e5-11e6-839f-2922947098f0.html?siteedition=intl#axzz4JgdKCO6k
