  1. - Replace the OTSRs on Fluch Von Novgorod with the lap bars seen on Iron Shark - Replace the OTSRs on Kanonen and Desert Race with the overhead bars seen on Taron - Add an airtime hill to Blue Fire - Remove the brakes and replace the train on Rutschebanen at Bakken (maybe add a Timberliner train) - Remove the trim brake on the last hill before the MCBR on Silver Star
  2. What stops me from thinking it's a flyer prototype is the clearance in between the supports. Either the track is a lot wider than the images lead you to believe or the train is a two-seater at best.
  3. 1910s - Rutschebanen (Tivoli Gardens) 1930s - Rutschebanen (Bakken) 1970s - Teststrecke 1980s - Lisebergsbanan (Liseberg) / Jetline (Gröna Lund) 1990s - Rock 'n' Rollercoaster (Disney's Hollywood Studios) 2000s - Balder (Liseberg) 2010s - Helix (Liseberg)
  4. From my PTR, Liseberg at a few minutes past sunset Twister at Gröna Lund And some Europa Park...
  5. ...oh yeah. Ferrari World is in Abu Dhabi, not Dubai. Granted they're only about an hour drive away from each other, but still...
  6. I imagine that's where the Frozen ride is going since Snow White and Pinocchio are right next to one another. DLP's Fantasyland doesn't have a whole lot of space and tearing out the Fantasyland station and moving it back probably isn't an option. This I'd really like to see (would be enough of a reason to go back to DLP). It sounds unlikely at first but there's plenty of opportunity to tie it in with the fifth Indiana Jones movie coming in 2019. Adventureland is massively underutilized either way so anything that would bring traffic to that side of the park is welcome. About time this is happening, though I'd like to see it be gutted completely since it's a total waste of space and the worst design flaw in what's already one of the worst-designed theme parks in existence. It's a giant barrier whose existence has forced every other attraction in the park to be shuffled to the side creating a terrible flow in the entire park. Expected but welcome.
  7. They should make sure they even get to one million before they start talking 4.5. I can't find exact attendance numbers for Ferrari World but most sources pin it around 900,000, so matching five times that number is going to be one hell of a tall order. I know Dubai is the fastest growing tourist destination in the world right now but going in with expectations that high sounds like a recipe for catastrophe.
  8. First time riding Atlantica SuperSplash at Europa Park I was the only person in the boat. It was 9:40 in the morning and the crowds hadn't gotten to the back end of the park yet (Blue Fire was still a walk-on and Wodan's queue was about 10 minutes). It was actually kinda fun making all kinds of noises when no-one was around to hear it. Most log flumes I ride alone when I'm at a park by myself.
  9. First piece of track for Star Trek: Operation Enterprise is in place.
  10. First look at what's been done with the closed off section of Kärnan's queue. Also the scaffolding for the tower is on the rise.
  11. Season of the Force is officially coming to Disneyland Paris starting January 14th. http://www.disneylandparis.com/en/entertainment/season-of-the-force/
  12. Log flumes are probably the most consistent crowd-pleasers this side of a quality Schwarzkopf. I think any park is doing itself a disservice by removing theirs unless they're replacing it with a more modern flume.
  13. Schwur Des Kärnan at Hansa Park two days ago.
  14. Based on the last time I rode it i would think the valleys and the helix is in need of retracking. In my experience the problems begin in the turnaround and the helix is the capper. Basically the whole second half of the ride is in need of retracking.
  15. Rutschebanen at Tivoli Gardens last Saturday
  16. In no particular order: Uppswinget (Liseberg) Monsunen (Tivoli Gardens) Test Track (Epcot) Fritt Fall (Gröna Lund) Splash Mountain (Magic Kingdom) Spaceship Earth (Epcot) Kali River Rapids (Animal Kingdom) Wildwasserbahn (Hansa Park) Jaws (Universal Studios Florida) [RIP] Soarin' (Epcot)
  17. GCI - Wodan (Europa Park - 2016) RMC - Wildfire (Kolmården - 2016) Gravity Group - Twister (Gröna Lund - 2016)
  18. Rutschebanen at Tivoli Gardens
  19. Likely Hansa Park within the next two weeks, unless I can squeeze in a visit to Tivoli Gardens before Sunday...
  20. The "studios" name is to differentiate the Marvel Cinematic Universe films from the Marvel films made and distributed by other studios, like X-Men with Fox. I feel the logo they revealed last week is a result of the breakup between Feige and Pearlmutter though.
  21. Then you're doing it all wrong......... To be fair the last time I made a full day visit to Epcot was back in 2003 when I was like eight. Last time I went to Epcot (and WDW as a whole) at all was during Extra Magic Hours in 2009 so I could check off Soarin', Spaceship Earth and Test Track. I'd definitely check WS out should I ever make it back to the States though.
  22. I've never actually been to most of World Showcase the few times I've been to WDW. We basically stayed in Future World the whole time...
  23. The two new children's rides mentioned in the newsletter are now in place
