Europa Park is now doing bag checks in response to the bombings in Brussels. There's not said to be any direct threats to the park but it's done as a precaution according to a park spokesperson. Source

Anyone think it's worth paying extra for the Express Butler? I'm thinking of the Gold one (unlimited rides with 50% wait) but I wonder if it's worth it this time of year (Saturday mid-April).

I'd hate to see what a 1000-minute line would look like. Since the wait board only seems to allow three digits, would the counter just flip over back to one again?

The TV displays in Kärnan's queue show the "Museum TV" episodes while you wait in line, including new episodes that build up the ride's story. The queue also seems to have been re-routed so you enter directly through the three doors instead of heading to the right. English subtitles are included so non-German speakers can understand what's going on. Torre Del Mar is now entirely in pieces, ready to be shipped off to Terra Mitica (presumably). Opening day has come and construction on Hanse-Fleiger is underway. Here's what remains of El Paso Express. Perhaps they intend to reuse the building for a future attraction? Kleine Zar hasn't progressed further than dirt phase as of yet. The new park skyline with Torre Del Mar (almost) gone. The last few pieces are still being hauled away. Kärnan's exit/gift shop with the wall partially finished.

Torre Del Mar is nearly gone now. The park is set to reopen tomorrow (today CET) so we'll see if it's fully removed by then.

Highest-grossing Marvel Studios movie that wasn't named Iron Man or Avengers. Probably the most critically successful of the bunch as well. According to rumors I've read this is targeted more towards the DCA/WDS versions and is only one proposal out of many. It may not happen at all.

I want to give every coaster a chance, besides I haven't been on an SLC before (haven't been on a wing, dive, bob or Vekoma looper before either but they'll be operating when I get there so that's beside the issue).

The first details on the new water park are going to be unveiled on July 19th. A fifth hotel is also going to be built adjacent the water park and two more are being planned for future expansion. Construction is set to begin late summer.

I hear Limit is closed until mid-April. Hope it's open by the 16th. I'll ask again: how are the crowds on a Saturday mid-April? Should it be an issue?

I've booked a trip to this park on April 16th. Would crowds be any issue? It's pretty early in the season.

The restraint bars are a lot less curved compared to the ones Mack uses. All seats also seem to be on the same height whereas with Mack the back seats in each car are slightly elevated. It looks more like they took the design they introduced with that 10-looper in China, removed the outer shell and perhaps raised the seats a bit.
