  1. I should get a few new coaster rides with the trips I have planned for 2017. My number one will be Wave Breaker @ SeaWorld San Antonio. Also Joker @ SFOT, but I've rode Batman @ SFFT before, so Joker isn't high on my list. I will ride InvadR at BGW too, but Mystic Timbers @ KI looks more promising. It'll be between Wave Breaker and Mystic Timbers for me.
  2. Usually Goliath @ SFOG, but here lately it's been Dare Devil Dive. Fury @ Carowinds always.
  3. Destroy Opry Mills and bring back Opryland USA!
  4. Okay, maybe I am in the minority here. . . But no, Fury 325 is a Giga coaster. Regardless if B&M wants to classify it as one or not. I agree that Fury 325 is a giga...But B&M still calls it a hyper. So, I just included it. Not sure why B&M calls it a hyper...But they built it, so I guess they can call it whatever they want.
  5. SFOG suffers from some very slow loading coasters and Superman has always been one of the biggest problems. The line moves super slow and there is hardly any shade over there so in the summer time it can be a brutal wait. Getting this coaster up to its optimal use would be wonderful! I wouldn't be surprised if they added a swinging pendulum ride over in the new Metropolis area in the future themed to Wonder Woman. It would be an awesome fit in that area. As for the Lickskillet area, GASM and Blue Hawk doesn't fit that area's theming at all...But it's Six Flags so that's typical, right? Hopefully that area can be the next to get rethemed and hopefully add something in Deja Vu's old spot in the future.
  6. Good! I rode Rebel Yell this past Labor Day weekend and it was awful. Glad they're re-tracking...Hopefully the whole thing!
  7. Ghostrider What's your favorite coaster at Luna Park NYC?
  8. Glad they're hurrying up on the construction of this coaster. I'll be there in May and it looks by the pace of the construction...It'll be completed.
  9. Great trip report and a lot of useful info I can use when I make a future trip to China. Big fan of Disney so both Disney parks there are most definitely on my bucket list. However, confused why there is a dislike of Pepsi so much. I've been following these forums for many years and seen quite a few posts of how some are sad Pepsi is at certain theme parks. I mean I like Coke too...But I also like Pepsi...I'll drink either. I'm just curious. Are you all mad at Pepsi for setting Michael Jackson's hair on fire or just don't like the taste? Either way, not a big deal. Just curious?
  10. 1) Fury 325 - I know we call this a Giga...But I don't think B&M uses that term. When looking it up...They have it classified as a hyper. So yeah, this would be my number one easily. This coaster is just insane and fun as hell. If I305 didn't exist...It would be my favorite over all. 2) Skyrush - This coaster is amazeballs! My third favorite coaster behind I305 and Fury 325. 3) Goliath (SFOG) - This coaster is very close to my heart. It was the first hyper I ever rode. Having rode every B&M hyper in the USA since (Except Mako), I still haven't found a B&M under 300ft that can beat it. 4) Apollo's Chariot - I was lucky enough to visit BGW on a day that wasn't very busy and rode this coaster a bazillion times until I threw up. Good times! 5) Diamondback - I swear every time I go to Kings Island, I could just ride Diamondback and Beast and forget the rest of the park. Probably the best two coasters any park could have. Just fun!
  11. Just spent all morning reading over this 20 year Master Plan for this park. There is a crap load of info in this 200+ page plan...Wow! I feel sorry for whoever had to type that whole thing out. lol. But glad to see this park getting some love. I was there for the first time this summer and wasn't too impressed. Spent about 5 hours and I was gone and went to Santa Cruz Boardwalk instead. The park definitely needs more rides and that hyper will most definitely make the park 10 times better and hopefully they RMC Grizzly. If all this happens, I'd probably make a return visit.
  12. Awesome! Another coaster added to the very short 2017 list. Can't wait to visit this Kissimmee Fun Spot...I really enjoyed the one in Orlando with White Lightning. This Gravity Group coaster with 360 degree barrell roll sounds great!
  13. I've been hearing rumors of them wanting to replace E.T. for some time now. Having done the attraction a few times, I honestly won't miss it if it does become something else. With the large amount of land behind M.I.B. along with Kidzone I can see this Nintendo land being huge...If they use all that space of course. Once they get this completed, I can see Hollywood area of the park along with T2 getting the next big upgrade. But of course if none of that happens and it goes in IOA...I'd say The Lost Continent needs to be the area instead of Toon Lagoon. Toon Lagoon is actually fun.
  14. SFOG: 1) Goliath 2) Mindbender 3) Dare Devil Dive 4) Batman 5) American Scream Machine 6) Superman 7) Joker's Funhouse Coaster 8) Georgia Scorcher 9) The Dahlonega Mine Train 10) Blue Hawk 11) Georgia Cyclone Carowinds: 1) Fury 325 2) Intimidator 3) Afterburn 4) Carolina Goldrusher 5) The Flying Cobras 6) Woodstock Express 7) Ricochet 8) Carolina Cyclone 9) Hurler 10) Flying Ace Aerial Chase 11) Lucy's Crabbie Cabbie 12) Vortex 13) Nighthawk Dollywood: 1) Lightning Rod 2) Wild Eagle 3) Thunderhead 4) Firechaser Express 5) Tennessee Tornado 6) Mystery Mine 7) Blazing Fury 8) Sideshow Spin
  15. I was at KI from open to close Saturday. Saturday morning it was pretty sweet as the lines were non existent but later in the afternoon things begin to pick up. I'd be surprised if the park wasn't at capacity Saturday night...It was insanely crowded. The weather was perfect all day so I imagine this is why the park was just overly crowded. I love KI, but when the park gets as crowded as it was Saturday night, it's just impossible to get anything done without fast lane or fright lane. But the biggest problem is with the lines for refills on your drinks. They just didn't have enough staff to support the crowds and wanting to get something to drink or eat could be an hour wait or more. But even with all the waiting, I still had a great time. There's just so much to do at KI...wonderful park! As for your 2017 wish list...I disagree on the no bins for Diamondback. I thought the lines for Diamondback moved pretty great that day at the busiest of times. Forcing people to get a locker like they do at Banshee is bullshit. I like many hate the thought of lockers and just hang our cups on the fence or stick it in a bush. Bins are great for rides. It disappoints me when bins are not an option on a ride. Also, on the skyflyer, I don't think it's going anywhere. That thing was busy all day Saturday.
  16. Yeah it does suck. Carowinds is an awesome park, and I love Fury 325...But I prefer Kings Island. The Haunt is better and the park itself is just ran better than Scarowinds. And we didn't leave the park totally, we just sat out in our car for an hour until it was time to get back in the park. Also, Kings Island is one price for all day. Carowinds makes you pay two fees for both halves of the day. We got passes so it's not a big deal, but if we bring friends, it's a hassle. Kings Island is just easier.
  17. I'll be at Kings Island Saturday. Amazed it's been since Halloween 2014 since I last visited. I love this park. Can't wait to ride Beast again and see the Mystic Timbers construction. I did Carowinds last year for Halloween and wasn't very happy I had to leave the park before the change over...It's just an inconvenience. Going back to Kings Island this year so I don't have to stop having fun for them to start the scares.
  18. Wow! Dollywood is going all out! I imagine Lightning Rod will have its kinks worked out before the 2017 season opens and with the addition of all these new attractions, Dollywood is going to be amazing! Or more amazing because the park already is amazing. Glad to see some of these parks such as Dollywood and Hershey finally adding drop towers. And also, it would be nice to know if grown people could ride this junior coaster or not because credit whores need to know.
  19. Great TR! I am one of those coaster nerds that absolutely loves Skyrush! And I'm a big guy so it probably crushes my legs more than the typical rider, but I don't care...It's wonderful! Out of the nearly 300 coasters I've ridden, Skyrush probably scares me the most and that's why it's one of my top 3 coasters. I only put I305 and Fury 325 ahead, but Skyrush is in the same ballpark. It's a great ride! Glad you guys and gals had a good time!
  20. 2018. I'm thinking FrontierTown is going to get completely renovated, not just Mean Streak. Cedar Point is probably going to take their time with this and do the whole section of the park right. Who knows, they may also need the extra time because Mean Streak 2.0 could be a launch lift like Lightning Rod at Dollywood is. It's possible. But being so close to Maverick, highly unlikely.
  21. Great TR! Glad you had the same experience I had on I305. It is truly the best coaster I've ever ridden. Virginia is an amazing place and has two incredible parks. It's hard to say which one is better, and I don't ever try to choose. I just go to both and enjoy what is probably two of the best parks in the country.
  22. I do realize that. That's why I put Disneyland or Hollywood Studios. I'll have to wait to see which Star Wars land I like better before choosing top park. But it's definitely going to be one with Star Wars in it. Right now, there's not enough Star Wars in Hollywood Studios to beat out Magic Kingdom yet...So for now...It's Magic Kingdom until Star Wars land debuts.
  23. My best is going to be so hard to chose from. Maybe divided up in categories would be best. Best overall - Magic Kingdom (Until Star Wars land is complete and this will probably change to either Disneyland or Hollywood Studios) Best experience always - Kings Island Best Rides - Cedar Point Honorable mentions - Carowinds, Dollywood, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Kings Dominion, and Six Flags Magic Mountain Worst Park - California's Great America or Indiana Beach
  24. I'm always for any restraint that takes away head banging. New Restraints.
  25. Well, I was planning a Kennywood trip in 2017, but seeing how there's this rumor now, along with Cedar Point's rumored 2018 RMC...I think I'll hold off until 2018 to travel that far up north again. 2018 is looking amazing!
