  1. OMG. If you're going to post about the stupid joke at least spell it correctly!!! Sorry, meant zits as a joke. I never liked the name ziz. I love the name Yukon Striker though. I was relieved the rumor was false.
  2. I personally feel the bug issue is worse than the locker issue. Both suck, but not equally. I got my steel vengeance fix back in May so I'm good on not going back until they get both fixed...One more wishlist item before I return...Please make Runaway Rapids not look like dirty bath water...It's gross. Other than that...I love you Cedar Point!
  3. This new land for Dollywood looks awesome and all and can't wait to go and check it out...But does anyone wanna place bets on when it'll be open in 2019? Not that I wanna bet, I just wonder if Dollywood can realistically get this open before Summer next year. This is huge and maybe a little pessimistic but I'm guessing it may either open in stages throughout the year or all at once late in the year...Maybe late Summer. I'd be totally surprised if this is open before July 2019.
  4. Hate to see Hershey and Knoebels flooded like this...Hopefully there won't be a lot of damage from this, but who knows until the water goes down. Hopefully, mother nature will calm her tits and Hershey can recover. Also, I love seeing Skyrush from that angle in those pics...It's always been a top 5 coaster for me.
  5. That's a tough call...I'd do both.
  6. Dammit! I miss the mushrooms everytime!
  7. Yeah, I guess you have a point with CP...KD is definitely a solid 2nd place though. One more thing, not sure if it has been reported or not...But the singing mushrooms are broke. Pretty sure that's bigger news than the lockers.
  8. I had one of the most satisfying visits I've ever had to an amusement park this past Thursday at Kings Dominion. Yeah, the signs were out and the loud announcement was blasting about Twisted Timbers but the park was dead. I have no problem leaving my loose articles in a locker when an RMC is a walk on every time. Marathon the hell out of it and totally forget about what was in your pockets. Now, on a Saturday, I'm sure this is a lot harder because of lines...But glad I got my experience without the line and having my phone wasn't an issue. And as good as Twisted Timbers is, it's still not I305 good, imo. Intimidator 305 still has my heart after all these years...I'm a loyal bastard! Also, what's up with the weird porn music over by Volcano? No, making me think about porn isn't making me feel any better about Volcano being closed. And here's an intriguing question...With Volcano in the line up and running perfectly well...Would you consider Kings Dominion to have the most intense line up of coasters in the Cedar Fair chain? Top 4 I305 Twisted Timbers Volcano Dominator
  9. The Steel Curtain looks amazing! I love football, but not a Steelers fan...But respect the franchise. It'd be kinda cool if Carowinds would retheme Intimidator to the Carolina Panthers...I'd be it's #1 fan. But yeah, can't wait til 2019 to try out Kennywood for the first time.
  10. Does anyone know what is going on with SFA's water rides? All three were closed when I visited the park for the first time this past Friday. Renegade Rapids, The Peguin's Blizzard River and Shipwreck Falls have no water and sign of life at all...I wonder what's the deal with that and it's Summer? I expected Batwing to be closed but that was it. Everything else was running and well I may add. I was shocked to see all the coasters were running two train operations after hearing differently for so long that they only had one train operations. Operations Friday were awesome! I also have to say that I've been to all the Six Flags parks in America except for New England and Great Escape and I have to say that the employees at SFA were the nicest I've ever encountered before at a Six Flags park. Very friendly and several times went out of their way to ask me if I was having a great experience...And I'm a nobody. I was floored by the great guest relations at this park...SFOG needs to take some notes from this park. But with all that praise, I was kind of bored with their attractions. This park is seriously lacking. I mean Superman was great and Jokers Jinx too, but as for the rest of the coasters, I wasn't too impressed. Wild One was great until the helix at the end...Which killed the ride for me. I seriously couldn't tell if Roar was retracked. Mind Eraser and Apocalypse need to be put out of their misery. Ragin Cajun was a highlight...It was the most outrageous Spinning Wild Mouse I've ever rode. I also got the kiddie credit. But after riding the coasters several times, and all the flats (WW was good), I was done in a few hours. The park was pretty dead, everything was a walk on...Which was cool. But to kill time, we also watched all the shows, which were a joke. The same people that perform Memphis Motown also perform Rockin Country...They work their actors hard at SFA. lol The stunt show was pretty corny. Yeah, you could do this park in like four hours if you wanted on a week day and that's doing everything but the waterpark. Which we didn't do. One more praise for this park. Their philly cheesesteak is actually really good. I don't normally give Six Flags a pat on the back for food, but this time I will. So, overall impression of SFA...What they lack in rides they make up for in everything else. Nice people, good food, and a clean park. And I agree with the post above, a Raptor or Free Spin would fit nicely between Batwing and Superman...But before they add more rides, they need to plant more trees in the back first.
  11. I've only ever visit Carowinds in the Spring and Fall. I've wanted to visit in the Summer to try out their new remodeled waterpark which I imagine helps keep the crowds down in the dry park on hot Carolina days. But I can't speak to experience on that. But as far as food goes...The restaurants by Carowinds are crap. The Wendy's, KFC etc...I would just eat in the park instead of those places. There is a Cracker Barrel there too if you want breakfast. But I'm not much of a breakfast eater. If you're looking for good food, then take time to visit uptown Charlotte. Some of the best food I've ever eaten is there. I'm a big Panthers fan so I eat quite a lot there in uptown when I visit in the fall. Cabo Fish Taco and Mert's Heart & Soul is fantastic!
  12. I have to give it to Kennywood, they have put on a hell of a teaser campaign for this new ride. I don't think anyone is 100% sure what this park is getting...Probably not even 50% sure. I'll be a Kings Dominion tomorrow and I'll be glued to my phone to see what the announcement is. I'm excited for this park...It's definitely on my itinerary for next year.
  13. Parking at Dollywood is $15. If you decided to buy a timesaver, it's a weird lanyard thing. If you're wet from a water ride, or get sweaty, the marker ink can rub off when you tuck it inside your shirt when you ride rides. Dollywood's timesaver is pretty reasonable to other park prices and I recommend it on a busy day. But if Lightning Rod isn't running, then I would save your money.
  14. In regard to the cell phone convo in this thread at SFGAdv...They're not cracking down at every Six Flags park on loose articles. Every time I go to SFOG which I go to regularly, people have their cell phones out on coasters all the time. The ride operators even see people with cell phones in their hands and check their restraints and don't say anything. The only coaster that they really make an announcement on about loose articles is Twisted Cyclone. Personally, I feel if more parks allowed secured gopros, cell phones flying through the air and injuring people would be a thing of the past.
  15. The dry side will more than likely be dead. Most coasters will be a walk on. You more than likely won't need a Flash Pass at all. RC may have a little wait and ME has only been running one train. When I was there 7/4 I waited about 10 minutes for it. Adults can ride the kiddie credit without a kid but it usually has a line. The water park is decent here. Thanks!
  16. Glad you posted this...I always have zipper pockets. If they have no problem with zipper pockets then I should be good. And I haven't rode TT yet but I did ride Steel Vengeance, and I'll be shocked if TT has more ejector air than SV...But it seems Cedar Point isn't making as big a deal as Kings Dominion is. Everyone had their phones out in SV line and no one said anything. Is TT more violent with airtime or what?
  17. It's all good. Nothing wrong with opinions. Moving on...
  18. Uhhh... what? Do you have a problem with me? You can talk about whatever the hell you want in here and no one ever said you couldn't. But its been beaten to death. It sucks to have to pay for a fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo. Whining about it like a baby on a theme park forum isn't going to make a park change their rules. No, I don't have a problem with any one on here. And I would totally be cool with a boldikus and coasterbill thread...I'd read it. And no, the park is going to keep the rule regardless how much we hate it...But still. I just wanted to go on the record with my opinion. I don't believe I've posted it here, so there. Sorry you had to deal with my whining.
  19. I'm not trying to be an ass here...But seriously. I thought this was the Kings Dominion thread...Not the Boldikus and coasterbill thread. People should have the freedom to talk about what they want here if it has to deal with Kings Dominion. The lockr issue pisses a lot of people off...So it helps to talk about it. And yeah, the Volcano thing is important too.
  20. So, I'll delete my previous comment above yours...But just to clarify, are you saying you always "Keep your hands inside the car at all times"?
  21. I'll be at this park for the first time this Friday. Is Batwing and Mind Eraser the only two rides down at this park right now? I'd kinda like to get a game plan together for this park. As for which rides to hit first, not just the coasters, but flats too...Even the kiddie ones too if I can fit. And I've heard this park has a decent water park, but I'll be skipping it this trip. So, for the SFA pros out there...Which rides/coasters have the longest lines? Thanks.
  22. I'm all for watching videos on youtube. I've appreciated all the Canada's Wonderland hype out there. But I've been on this site long enough to know, if you post videos like that here on TPR, that can get you banned. I wouldn't risk it. But yeah, keep the vids coming on youtube. I've enjoyed them thus far. Thanks!
