Would you feel let down if you got the first RMC TREX Coaster? There's not a whole lot of current information about the footpaths of these to know if it would fit in the space outlined above. I heard the footpaths were smaller, but I guess we'll see. I like the look of the T-Rex design, but SFOG doesn't need another low capacity ride. We just got DDD in 2011. While the T-Rex design looks awesome, I don't think it is designed for a higher capacity park. I realize we got 4 B&M's but still, I'm hoping for a coaster that can move people through quickly.

I've never been to California, so I was wondering if anybody could give me a few tips about this park. I'll be visiting this park on a Sunday, July 3rd. I know this is a smaller Cedar Fair park, I'm more used to Kings Island, Cedar Point, Carowinds etc...But as far as CGA goes, would I be able to ride everything in this park without fast lane? A typical weekend I wouldn't even ask, but this is the Fourth of July weekend I'm talking about. I figure Gold Striker will probably be the longest wait...But as long as I get one good ride in I'm good. Also, curious about how shaded this park is...Lot of shade, no shade...Extremely hot? Just trying to prepare for each park I go to in California and trying to maximize my experience at each one. Any info would be helpful, such as which rides to hit first and last, etc. Thanks!

Possible Candidates that are 30+ years: Mine Train 1967 GASM 1973 Mind Bender 1978 Railroad 1967 Hanson Cars 1967 Sky Buckets 1968 Logs 1968 Carousel 1972 Bumper Cars 1973 Thunder River 1982 Splashwater Falls 1986 Monster Mansion 1967 I'm guessing Splashwater Falls is history and we'll see a S&S 4D Free Fly installed there. I'm wondering if this is the year Six Flags installs two of those in their parks. SFSL could be the other park to get one.

Painful but true. It is kind of shameful how CF treats these parks. I don't know if I'd use the word "shameful", but it is rather disappointing... I possibly can understand why MIA is neglected, but unsure why DP and VF is. I mean Dorney is right by two big cities, NY and Philly...It should be heavily invested in and also try to compete with SFGAdv. As for VF...Half the name is in the companies name...That alone should be reason enough to invest in the park.

Theirfront of the park is gonna be crowded then. . . I'm assuming you're talking about CW. If so, the rumor is Flight Deck and Time Warp are on the way out. Plop a B&M nicely right there in that spot...No crowding. -

I don't understand all the Intimidator dislike. I've rode every B&M hyper in the US and it's one of my favs. I personally think Intimidator and Fury go well together and both offer something different. -

I used to agree with this. But after my second visit this year, I'm putting Cedar Point first. Cedar Point just has more of everything. With the addition of Valravn, the soft restraints on Maverick, and Rougarou transformation...The coaster buffet is just incredible. Plus, I've yet to find any restaurant in the whole CF chain that can compete with CP's Midway Market. I think with the improvements that Matt Ouimet has made to CP over the years has put CP on top. -

Well, if KI is getting a GCI, then I'm going to assume CW is getting that B&M Invert or Flyer in front of the park. And if GCI has a lot on their plate next year, I can see RMC working on Mean Streak. But I still don't think they're going to turn it into a hybrid like everybody thinks. As for the other project CF is doing at KD...I'm still confused about the Hurler when they say it is being done, "in house". -

KD is definitely not neglected in the coaster department. They have the best coaster in the whole CF chain. imo. -

I'm looking at the map and to have enough room, RFYLCB has to go. It would have enough room to fit in nicely between WWC and the Picnic Grove area going over or below the train tracks. -

With Kings Island getting a new roller coaster (rumor) next year, would it make sense to have another Cedar Fair park that's only 3 hours away open another coaster that everybody's been waiting years for? Just doesn't seem like good business sense unless Cedar Fair wants everybody in the world in Ohio next year. Could be. -

This is definitely the prettiest RMC built yet. Just curious if it's going to be the best yet, though. It definitely looks like it has the potential to be. -

Yeah I think I can take a beating. The lift hills on SFOT's mine train, The Boss at SFStL, even Boomerangs to some extent (except the restraints, I hate the standard Vekoma OTSRs, at least while going up backwards), stuff like that really doesn't bother me at all. The only coaster I've been on that I really don't like is Titan. It wasn't until the second or third time that I realized how much wasted track that ride has. I came off with a headache all three times. Plus, there's a good chance I'll get to ride one of the best Arrow loopers on this trip because Dollywood is on the itinerary and I've heard great things about Tennessee Tornado. Agree 100%! I hated Titan too. Just a terrible coaster...Don't get all the hype. And you're also right again, Dollywood definitely has the best Arrow Looper. -

Looks a lot like Prowler at Worlds of Fun. Since most people i know would rank that over Beast (and Golden Ticket Awards rates it over Diamondback), looks like a great fit and is a much better investment than a giga coaster in my opinion. Also, I find it funny that Prowler is themed to a panther, and KI used a gif of a kitten for one of their teasers. Looks like Prowler is getting a sister coaster. Prowler better than the Beast? No. imo. And I'm definitely okay with a new wooden coaster at KI. But there is nothing wrong with a giga coaster. A B&M giga at any park would be king...Especially at KI. Everyone I've talked to that's ridden both says Prowler is better. But let's not get stuck on this issue. Both rides are incredible and are for different people. Personally, I'm excited that CF is still investing in wooden roller coasters while other chains start to remove/convert their current woodies. Would everybody you've talked too also be a WOFanatic? And don't get me wrong, I agree with you that both rides are incredible. If KI is getting a Prowler sister, I'm definitely okay with that. Perhaps. The great thing is that no matter which one you prefer, you will pretty much have both at KI next year. -

Totally disagree...Somewhat. Skip Firehawk and Vortex. They suck. But Invertigo is a fun ride...If it's running. But everything else he said, go with. I'm inclined to skip Vortex because of its reputation but I also haven't been on any custom Arrows or Vekomas before. Is it any worse than Corkscrew at CP? I was thinking about skipping that one as well but I do want to get in at least one Arrow looper just to say I've done it. Here's the thing with Arrows. They're all different and everyone reacts differently to each one based on specific body dimensions. For example, I hate Vortex but a lot of people enjoy it. I experience no discomfort whatsoever on Anaconda and most people have complete disdain for that ride. I like most Arrows actually but I hate Vortex and Corkscrew. So if you've never ridden one then ride Vortex, but if you hate it don't let it stop you from riding other Arrows. Even if you hate both Vortex and Corkscrew (like I do) you might like the other ones. They're not like B&M's where they all generally ride the same way. They're all very different. I agree. They are most definitely different. Not a fan of most arrows, but I do like the two arrow loopers in VIrginia. And the one in Tennessee. But that's about it. -

I just don't think Cedar Point is going to get all this next year. It's just insanely too much. We've heard waterpark expansion, Hotel expansion, Sportsplex, and now a RMC conversion? I want it to happen, but if it does, I'd lean more towards 2018. I think the waterpark expansion is going to happen first. But I could be wrong, and Cedar Point is about to blow our minds. Who knows?
