  1. Rode Vortex this year for the first time...I actually liked it better than Carowinds version even though their pretty much the same ride. Never been a fan of stand up coasters...Glad that CF is getting rid of them all.
  2. Cedar Fair is really having fun with all their announcements this year. But all this teasing is giving me blue balls.
  3. Hey don't forget about the show, cabanas, bar and pavilion too! Alright one park down for today...Who's next?
  4. Hopefully 2017 will be better. I went in 2014 and it was a real crap hole. I can deal with rides not working but their operations there was godawful. Hopefully Apex turns that place around.
  5. Six Flags has just been adding one a year so far but apparently in 2017...
  6. 1) Intimidator 305 2) Fury 325 3) Skyrush 4) Twisted Colossus 5) Maverick 6) New Texas Giant 7) The Beast 8) Kumba 9) Goliath at SFOG 10) El Toro
  7. Indiana Beach...That place was a shit hole.
  8. Sounds like 2016 has a case of shitty parenting going on.
  9. Kings Island is going to win this hands down next year. But for right now, I'd have to go with Six Flags St. Louis...I love their three wooden coasters!
  10. I've been at Kings Island before when it was lightning. They were still running rides too. Kings Island is hardcore, man. Wished Cedar Point was the same...If the wind just blows gently, then BAM! All rides are shut down immediately!
  11. If Kings Dominion specifically said, "The Hurler will be done in house", then why do people continue to say it's going to be done by RMC? And for the record...I'm not against it. I would happily enjoy seeing Hurler and Mean Streak redone by RMC.
  12. When the rumors were going around that Silver Dollar City was getting a B&M, I was for sure Worlds of Fun wasn't getting one. But now since SDC just recently sent out that survey about a spinning coaster, I'm pretty sure WoF is getting a B&M. I know B&M have that 10 year rule about coasters being too close together, so now that it seems SDC isn't in play, that sets WoF to get that X-Works Green B&M we've been seeing pics of. WoF desperately needs a new front gate and a green B&M flying over the top of it would be great for the park. And I do hope it's a launched wing, but double the size of Holiday World's version.
  13. Great report so far! All of these are great parks, but I've only visited Cedar Point out of the mix so far this year...Still making plans to visit Dollywood as well. I got a chance to ride the four mountain coasters in the Smokies back in March...They're great fun! Definitely a must when visiting the area...At least to try once. I have to say I think the Gatlinburg Moutain Coaster was my favorite. It was the shortest but definitely the fastest. I'm hoping to visit some of these other parks in your report next year.
  14. Awesome funny report so far. I like your point about "Normal people would have spent their three theme park days at Universal and Disney"...And I'm like you. We went for a quick weekend trip back in February and spent our weekend at Sea World and Busch Gardens too...We fit Disney Springs in also...But Central Florida doesn't all have to be about the resorts. To me, the Sea World parks are just as fun. Except for my trip, Sheikra and Falcon's Fury was open, but Cobra's Curse and Mako was not. I also agree with you about Kumba...It is absolutely a fantastic B&M...My second favorite B&M behind Fury 325. And although you make a valid point on B&M's, I actually like Banshee better than Montu. Montu is an amazing ride, but probably #3 on my invert list. And lastly, after reading about La Ronde...I'm going to wait awhile on my Montreal trip. Definitely going to make Toronto my first Canadian visit. La Ronde can wait! Thanks for the spoilers!
  15. I can see SFNE getting a S&S 4D coaster in splash water falls spot. I could also see them themeing it to Joker like they did in SFGAdv. If they wanted, they could paint the Mind Eraser and maybe call it Riddler's Revenge and have a full on Gotham area right there on that side of the park since it's next to Batman. The only rides that would be out of place would be Catwoman, Gotham City wild mouse coaster and Joker's wildcard which they could retheme later maybe and make a metropolis area over close to Superman when they add their JLBFM. It'd be nice to see Six Flags start to theme their parks better...SFNE just seems all over the place. However, I know I am talking about Six Flags so I'm not going to get my hopes up. Maybe this is what they have in mind at SFGAm too, Joker 4D besides Batman. Is Six Flags really this predictable?
  16. Of the ones I've ridden... 1. Twisted Colossus - SFMM 2. New Texas Giant - SFOT 3. Iron Rattler - SFFT 4. The Joker - SFDK 5. Goliath - SFGAm Probably not going to make it to Mexico or Sweden anytime soon, but Lightning Rod, Storm Chaser, Outlaw Run and Wicked Cyclone are most certainly going to be ridden soon.
  17. The last time I visited Typhoon Lagoon was in 2008 in July and it was pretty packed during the day but they stayed open late and every slide was a walk on at night. I preferred Typhoon Lagoon to Blizzard Beach just for the wave pool alone. Those waves are super crazy. But it's nice to hear them adding a new slide to the park. It's about time!
  18. Just to get in on the discussion here...I have to say I like Coaster Studios. But saying that, I like everybody's coaster channels. I like to get all the news I can whether it's true or not. It's just fun.
  19. Yeah, American Adventures is a real eye sore when visiting White Water. Six Flags could tear that whole place down and build the biggest water park in the southeast and make it something really special. White Water is always packed every time I visit so I know it would be a great investment for the company. As for SFOG getting another coaster, I'm hoping 2018 is the year. SFGAdv got a coaster this year and getting a JL:BFM next year so it's not out of the question for SFOG to have the same plan.
  20. I love Hersheypark...They could have just added the small doubleshot tower and I would have been fine with it. I swear they could have added a 500 foot drop tower and people would still gripe about it. But anyways, great addition for the park...Can't wait to get back!
  21. I assume a brand new GCI wood coaster in 2018 if they tear it down completely.
  22. I know we all want an RMC...But look at all the space they cleared up around the water park. It would be awesome, but I'm starting to think a water park expansion and a RMC coaster in 2017 is too much. Unless Cedar Point is getting all "Universal" and going crazy with addition after addition...Which isn't a bad thing. It's very possible they may just tear the coaster down and leave the space open for a future addition. I do think the water park expansion is happening next year, but I'm not sold on a RMC or GCI reprofiled coaster just yet.
  23. But RMC or GCI? I hate cliffhangers!
  24. I guess this announcement here in a few minutes isn't going to be live streamed...Probably just announced on Twitter.
