  1. The website has a mobile version that works pretty well in the phone internet browsers. I have IOS 11, too, and I'm not seeing any issues when using it.
  2. Granted... but the sweet release of death comes very soon after, my friend. I wish I could go back in time and give my current level of maturity to my high school self.
  3. C'est moi! Me and Rikki (wifey-to-be) in line for Thunderbolt @ SFNE in June 2014.
  4. Skull Mountain. That's because that's the only roller coaster I've ridden this month.
  5. I agree the POV looks a lot more fun than the rendering did, but it's clear they edited out the portions of the ride where you stall / rock back and forth until the next drop. I'm sure it was just to reduce the video length and focus in on the more thrilling aspects of the ride, but I'm still curious how the full length of the ride experience will feel, stalls and all. I'd still definitely give it a try, at least.
  6. You can see the outline of her bra through the dress. This is all just an optical illusion from the makeup.
  7. The Fright Fest crowd at this park, especially Friday and Saturday nights, always seems to be a little rougher-around-the-edges than normal. There was one season (2003, I think) where we actually needed to hire a security guard for the night shift at the McDonald's outside the park because the crowds were so badly behaved. We had fights regularly break out in the lobby, one guy even once walked behind the counter and just took food and threw soda all over me when I confronted him.
  8. This ride is definitely eye-catching, but I'm still curious if the actual ride experience will actually deliver.
  9. Here's a handful from various categories. This isn't all-inclusive. Some of my favorites no longer on the air: - Sopranos - Scrubs - Breaking Bad - West Wing - Mad Men - Arrested Development - Parks and Recreation Shows I love but really, really sucked in their last couple of years: - The Office - Lost - The Walking Dead (I know it's still on, but it's just become so, so awful) Perennial favorites: - American Dad - South Park Newish shows I'm really into: - The Good Place - Rick and Morty - Better Call Saul - Stranger Things - Silicon Valley (though the last season was a dip in quality) Newish shows I enjoyed but are a bit overrated IMO: - Westworld - Ozark I'm currently working my way through Seinfeld on Hulu. I've seen an episode here or there in the past but never watched the show in full. When I'm done with that, I'm probably moving onto Handmaid's Tale, after season 2 of Stranger Things.
  10. Ralphie May passed away. www.tmz.com/2017/10/06/ralphie-may-dead/
  11. Yea, we're going to be impacted by the remnants of Nate those days. Gotta keep an eye on the storm and see if its speed changes. Monday may still be your better option, though.
  12. Welp, there goes one of the only attributes in the plus column for this park.
  13. Visible from Interstate 4, too? Yee-owch. It's the equivalent of ancient warriors sticking the heads of their defeated enemies on spikes in order to send a message. It's Universal's message to coaster enthusiasts.
  14. Man, and I only just realized a few weeks ago that Monty Hall was still alive. Bummer, but what a great run. Tom Petty is a gut punch, though.
  15. Likewise. Speechless.
  16. If you're ever back in Chicago, make sure to hit up the South Side joint Vito and Nicks. It's essentially the antithesis to typical Chicago-style pizza. It may be more up your alley.
  17. ^ Yea, during Fright Fest, it's common to see the line for Nitro extend out of the queue and wrapped around Batman. El Toro's line will also extend out of the queue and wrapped around about halfway towards the bridge to Bizarro. If you must go, go early like Boldikus did and get your rides in. Otherwise...good luck.
  18. Deep-fried, no, but I ate things cooked on a flattop, which technically is a form of frying. So yes. Ketchup on a hot dog?
  19. Ditto. Is there another (seasonal) park that has a better ride list for its holiday celebration? Dollywood is the only other park I can think of that comes close.
  20. I'm a financial crime compliance officer. My department is responsible for the firm's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing investigations. My current role is within quality management (I analyze quality trends throughout the department and build training material to target the observed deficiencies) but I've also been an investigations manager as well as part of the initial launch of a centralized case review team. I also regularly administer classroom training sessions on developing investigative skills for advanced and complex typologies (various types of fraud, human trafficking, trade-based money laundering, OFAC/sanctions, IVTS/BMPE, etc).
  21. Toverland said that the new area will open in the Summer of 2018. No exact opening date yet, though. That's awesome, just in time for my honeymoon to the Netherlands next year! Hopefully it's all ready to go!
