  1. Great report! It’s amazing how small Wonder Woman’s track actually is. Its placement next to Superman’s cobra roll really puts it into perspective. Nice photos!
  2. Not at all. I don’t have much of an issue with most Arrow loopers anyway, but Canyon Blaster is by far the smoothest one I’ve ridden. Weirdly enough, I actually thought El Loco was rougher. Not in the sense that it rides the track poorly, but the transitions on El Loco felt much more jerky and uncomfortable than those on Canyon Blaster.
  3. Knott’s also has 7 other coasters. My point was that the only two “real” coasters at SWSD are both multi-launch coasters. Stuff like this doesn’t matter because the park does what makes them money anyway, this is just speaking from a nerdy enthusiast point of view.
  4. I feel the same way. Initially I felt it was a little redundant to have two multi-launch coasters in the park, but I’m just excited that a major thrill coaster is finally coming to SWSD after seeing its Orlando and San Antonio siblings crush them in the coaster department. I’m loving the colors too.
  5. Just wanted to pop in here and say I rode Goliath at SFMM a few days ago in the front row when it was 48 degrees outside, and we were freezing our butts off. I don’t know how you guys do it here and at SFNE lol. Respect.
  6. I love the color schemes on both coasters. They’re simple yet effective. Updates like this remind me why the US has been so B&M dry recently... they’re building tons of coasters overseas, more than I can even keep count.
  7. Great report! I absolutely love Lagoon as well. Cannibal, Roller Coaster, Colossus, and Wicked are all great. I’m proud to call it my secondary home park while I’m off at school.
  8. Fantastic video, as always. I’ve driven through Vegas more times than I can count, yet I still haven’t ridden this coaster. The high price plus terrible reviews has kept me far away, but after hearing that it is *slightly* tolerable now might make me finally bite the bullet one of these days.
  9. I agree with this. My philosophy with Magic Mountain is that I go for the coasters and that is it. They are the place to go for thrills in SoCal, and if I want anything more, I go to Knott’s or Disney or someplace else. If they ever clean up the place, great, but as long as they keep their coasters running well, I’ll continue to visit because I don’t go to the park for any other reason.
  10. Call me crazy, but I think one of the major reasons I love Skyrush so much is because of those restraints. They aren’t exactly the most comfortable, but the way the bar sits in the middle of your thighs rather than on your waist is what exaggerates the already insane airtime, since your butt lifts off the seat but your obviously still restrained. I don’t think I would like the ride nearly as much if it had typical lapbars that sit comfortably against your waist.
  11. Thanks for the update! With all of my attention on HangTime, I almost forgot SoCal is getting two new coasters next year. Can't wait to try this one out.
  12. ^Plus the new indoor theme park going to New Jersey in 2019, with the Gerstlauers.
  13. This looks great! I really like the Eurofighter's layout.
  14. I get where you're coming from. Planet Coaster is great, and it does almost everything better than RCT3, but there are still a few features in RCT3 that I just prefer. Sometimes I like having a strict grid to build off of rather than all free-for-all. I also think the gravity/physics is more accurate in RCT3. Or maybe my computer is just slow... lol But like Canobie said, the development team is awesome, and it's nice to see them consistently add new stuff. A few things in particular I'd like to see are a Mack Mega Coaster and a Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster, both with launch and lift capabilities. As for flats, S&S towers (that can actually connect at the top to make combo towers *ahem RCT3*) and Top Scans would be nice.
  15. Great topic. In no particular order... Fury 325 Intimidator 305 Maverick Millennium Force Twisted Colossus X2 Tatsu Intimidator Cannibal Top Thrill Dragster
  16. Viper (SFMM), last night in the back row. I love that ride so much.
  17. Oh, no. Has it started to get rough again? No, not at all. Still running like the day it reopened. I was mainly referring to the operations since they are usually horrendous, but that day they were quite good, relatively speaking.
  18. Went to the park today and lines were great. TC was on two trains but the wait was still under an hour and we even raced on the second lap around. Mostly just wanted to pop in here and say how much I freakin’ love Batman. It was a walk-on all day, and we rode it three times in the back row, and it kicks so much a$$. It gets overshadowed by bigger rides in the park, but for me it is definitely top 5 worthy in the park, behind FT, Tatsu, X2, and TC. I tend to forget about this ride when I visit, but for some reason my appreciation for that ride was reignited today. It was hauling.
  19. I splurged and bought one from Viper (SFMM) today. It was ridiculously overpriced for a single digital download, but it was a funny photo and those employees must have incredibly boring jobs so I was happy to support them.
  20. My brother and I are heading to the park tomorrow. Does anyone know how crowds may be this week? Also, is Twisted Colossus still running two trains? Thanks in advance.
  21. Sierra Sidewinder at Knott's is also like this, although I cannot seem to find a video.
  22. Went to Knott’s yesterday. Everything was open except Xcelerator and Sol Spin. GhostRider was open and actually running really well, not just the ride itself but operations too. They were assigning rows (which I know bothers us enthusiasts but it really helps keep things organized and running well), and the line (which filled the building) only took about 45 minutes. Props to them, because usually they suck. Silver Bullet was also running two trains (one of which was the brand new one) and it was essentially a walk-on all day. The new train definitely felt smoother, but the ride was already far from being rough. As for HangTime, nothing has really changed since the recent batch of photos other than the holding brake track placed and a little more of the lift hill. It still isn’t topped off yet. Can’t wait for it to open. I’m loving the colors.
  23. That's too bad. I'm heading to the park tomorrow, mostly to check out HangTime construction, but I'll be bummed if GhostRider and Sol Spin are both down. I understand it's sort of the off-season (although not really with busy winter crowds coming), but dang, come on Knott's. I long for the day when every ride in the park is open...
  24. Great news! I did not enjoy this ride at all. For some reason I found it so much worse than Kings Island's, and it seems to have so much down time as well. Plus, the park already has two (vastly superior) inverted coasters, so this is really no loss in my eyes. With Dinosaur's also rumored to be leaving soon, GCI perhaps? Or just wishful thinking...
