I don’t know how to do either of those, but the second one is slightly less annoying! IPhone 8/8+ or iPhone X?

B&M vs Intamin
thrillseeker4552 replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Intamin, no question. Although B&M really upped their game with Fury 325. That’s why it is the only non-Intamin in my Top 5. And Skyrush exists, so yeah. -
Love the POV video. It's amazing how much they really squeezed this ride in. Also, besides Karnan, I believe this is the tallest vertical lift hill, right? It's taller than any eurofighter, and like I said, the only one taller is Karnan. Pretty cool! EDIT: I fact checked myself on RCDB. I forgot about the Maurer Skyloops, which are one foot taller. And Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket. Either way, this ride really is gonna change the skyline.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
thrillseeker4552 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Are there any other 18 year olds who have anymore insight on how Cedar Fair and Rocky Mountain Construction could have created this roller coaster to run more efficiently? Any additional input from the inexperienced is appreciated. It was a simply "I would have loved to see.... " statement. I didn't act like I know more than anyone else. I didn't bash the ride or Cedar Point or RMC. There is no question that this ride will have an enormous line, and its capacity will be "average" when compared to other people-eaters in the park. I didn't realize this would be the type of post to instigate an overly sarcastic response. Sheesh. -
1. Yes. My only complaint is the restraints on Superman, but they fit different body types differently, so they might be alright for you. 2. It’s terrible. Even in the front row (Coasterbill will disagree). Those trains make it awful, because I also rode it when it was at SFMM, and it was quite good. 3. I went in 2016, so I can’t comment. 4. Very terrifying, but in a good way. My whole family rode it and loved it. The first ride is the worst. 5. I actually enjoyed Batman quite a bit in terms of Floorless Coasters. Depends on your taste in B&Ms. I went on a weekday in June and crowds were very manageable, except Superman was a clusterf*ck because of VR at the time. I would assume weekdays in August are very manageable, if New England is anything like other East Coast parks I’ve been to around that time. Monday thru Thursday would be the best. Someone else can more accurately comment about this because I am going off of assumptions.

What are your TOP TEN COASTERS

I switched around the order of my Top 5 a little. See my signature. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
thrillseeker4552 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I said this before, but I would have loved to see RMC put a 7-car train on Steel Vengeance to give it that extra edge in terms of capacity. I know Cedar Point has stellar operations, but given the 24-passenger trains and difficult restraints, and the popularity and hype for this ride, I have a feeling the line for this is going to break all sorts of records... But then again, maybe we wouldn't be able to have some of these maneuvers if it had 7-car trains, so you give and you take I guess. -
Your first Arrow Dynamics coaster
thrillseeker4552 replied to stashua123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I want to say my first Arrow coaster was Ninja at SFMM, but it could have been Viper. I can't remember which one I rode first. -
Thank you for all the coverage. I especially loved the interview with Alan Schilke. What an awesome job to have! And like others have said, the presentations/unveiling of cars on Tuesday was great, but I lost interest the last couple days. I was low-key hoping for Gerstlauer to reveal the HangTime lead car, but that was a long shot. The models were very impressive though!

Honestly, though I'm not about to debate anyone on it, I do consider these to be coaster credits. I think what has happened with me is I now believe in adding roller coaster sub categories, and that makes it easier to not have my head explode every time a ride like this comes out. Lol. I'm sort of the same way. I basically just go off of RCDB. If they count it, I count it. That's the easiest way for me to keep track. But in the end, it's just personal preference.

The order of elements the park described directly reflects an Iron Shark clone. I’m not sure why this is ambiguous. This is great for Darien Lake. If the park were going to get any off-the-shelf coaster, I was low-key hoping for a Sky Rocket II, but a lap bar eurofighter is still great. It’s nice to see the park finally investing in a major attraction.

It looks like they changed the time, from this past running time of the Festival. Good to know for those who were planning a visit during that time. I think these dates are much better. They align a lot more with people’s Spring Breaks. Although with the dates moved back almost a month, I doubt that HangTime will open during the Festival. It was a long shot, anyway.

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?
thrillseeker4552 replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
Pretty average late fall weather here in Utah. Getting a mix of cloudy and sunny cool days averaging in the 40s and 50s. We've had some cold days that stayed in the 30s. The worst-of-the-worst for winter won't come until January/February, so I'm enjoying above-freezing while I can! -
Interesting. I guess I'm just surprised because Six Flags, which is largely considered the "cheapest" park/chain, even has plastic cards. They're super thin and flimsy, but they're still cards. I would expect them to cut corners before a high quality park like Silver Dollar City. I don't intend to complain about it, because in the end it really doesn't matter (especially for that price!), but I'm just surprised. I would assume Dollywood does the same?
