  1. Me too, although there is so much red/orange/yellow in the park, I would love to see them go with a darker color. But it really doesn't matter much... at least they're repainting it and hopefully disproving any rumors that it is leaving soon!
  2. So true. I really don't understand why people rate Banshee so highly. Front row, back row, any other row, it's just so... meh. The first drop, the slow inline roll, and the length/pacing is what sets Banshee apart from others in my opinion. And actually, I prefer the new B&M restraints when it comes to Inverts. It's not a "top 10" coaster, but it has some unique features going for it.
  3. Planet Coaster! macOS or Windows 10?
  4. Jaguar! at Knott's
  5. Its quite amazing how they fit everything in there, isn't it? Also I just wanted to take the timeout to say how incredibly close the drop tower (which is great btw) comes to the roof. It's pretty crazy. You don't realize how close it is until you actually ride it. It's a brutal little tower though... ouch.
  6. Since I missed Cannibal's opening by a week, my answer is Colossus. Kings Island?
  7. The famous Rolling Thunder hill on El Toro in the back car takes the cake for me. Although not even comparable to El Toro, the post-MCBR drop on GhostRider in the back seat is pretty sweet as well.
  8. Trees. Montu or Alpengeist?
  9. Finally got my driver's license! I regret waiting this long, but it's nice to finally have it.
  10. I guess you're right. Valravn has 24 passengers per car, so it must be fine. I'm just fantasizing about the crazy whip you would get on the back of a 7- or 8- car train on an RMC! lol
  11. It seems almost certain to me that they go 200 feet. If so, and correct me if I'm wrong, this can be marketed as the tallest, fastest, and longest hybrid coaster in the world. And due to the impressive size, I wonder if Cedar Point would opt for 7- or even 8-car trains from RMC to fit their capacity needs. I'm sure we'll see a MCBR if the ride ends up being 5000+ feet long.
  12. I'm not big into ranking coasters, but I'll give this a shot. This list can pretty much change at any point in the day. Steel: 5. Wicked Cyclone 4. Maverick 3. Kingda Ka 2. Nitro 1. Skyrush Wood: 5. Wild One (SFA) 4. Apocalypse (SFMM) 3. Lightning Racer 2. GhostRider - big gap - 1. El Toro I really need to get one some good wooden coasters (Voyage, Phoenix, few more GCIs). El Toro is awesome, but the rest on the list really can't compare.
  13. I know the feeling. It makes it easy to appreciate Cedar Fair. One word: Xcelerator.
  14. It would have been nicer if the three towers were arranged in a triangle as to not obstruct any one tower's view, but that's just being nit picky. Still a decent ride the park really needed.
  15. that's what the Fresher's guy said. whenever they decide to paint Tatsu, I hope they keep the 3 colors and not do like they did Scream. but I have a strong feeling they won't and do two colors. I prefer Scream's new color scheme, and I'm honestly not a fan of Tatsu's current orange/red color scheme. Agreed. Tatsu's color scheme is about the worst you can do for a ride that sits high in the California sun. But then again, X2 still looks great after 9 years. Seriously, what is up with that ride's paint? Why hasn't the park used it on other rides they've painted since then (Batman, Scream, Viper, Ninja, Goliath, and Superman)?
  16. I'm kind of confused on how the sideways drive wheels can be on a curve? It's on several portable Schwarzkopf looping coasters as well. It has always intrigued me too, but obviously it works.
  17. I'm indifferent about the new paint job. Neither the green nor blue look bad, and one really doesn't look better than the other in my opinion, so it's just nice to see an awesome ride get some love.
  18. Looks like a perfect addition to the park. I visited the park for the first time last November, and while El Loco and Canyon Blaster were great, the park really lacks a solid family coaster. They really are tight on space though, so it'll be interesting to see where they shoehorn this thing in.
  19. I know parks don't care much about "anniversary years" and stuff like that, but adding their 20th coaster in 2020 is a cool idea. It sounds like it could be a neat marketing tactic. Just a thought. Although knowing the park's history, we'll probably see a new coaster before then. Maybe I missed something, but is there any true confirmation of Tatsu getting repainted, or is it just a bunch of hopeful enthusiasts?
  20. Funny you mention New Roc City. I took a big Northeast trip last June, and we stayed in a hotel in New Rochelle in between visiting SFNE and New York City, and I had no idea the place existed. We were driving up to the hotel, and I said "hold up... that's an S&S tower!" It was a pretty standard one with only one launch, but it was super fun since I had absolutely no idea it existed. Definitely a fun surprise of the trip. Really enjoying the trip report!
  21. ^You need your fix of a Boomerang? You don't hear that very often around here!
  22. I've never been to the park, but I think it's safe to say Medusa is the best. Kings Island?
  23. I love BBT as well! It's surprising that it's still consistently funny, even in its 10th season. Most TV shows don't make it that far!
