Team Jacob... whoops. I'm a bigger fan of Conan, he always seemed funnier to me. Leno was only good for headlines and Jaywalking (though the comedy isn't done by Leno there, but I enjoyed those segments). The Cone Bone gets the vote.

Isn't it sad when this is the ONLY thing people have nice to say about the Pirates? Not even "oh, they have a bunch of young talent" - nope, just that PNC is nice. McKechnie Field (spring training ballpark) is practically as old school as a ballpark could get these days. Two compliments and both about their stadiums. Dohoho. On the topic of baseball video games, I might be a sucker and pick up MLB 2K10 because Evan Longoria is on the cover.

You know what, as long as Sonic Spinball has chili dogs and classic smart-ass Sonic, I'm satisfied. -
Also, SFGAm, the whole Little Dipper for 2010 thing seriously came out of left field. Good news though, but again, be patient. Six Flags is keeping the hype machine for 2011.

Slight off topic, am I the only one bothered by the subtitle? "You're thoughts" implies "You are thoughts" and I know that I am an intellectual animal... not a thought. On topic, I'm extremely glad the Orioles set up spring training in my town and opening day will be against the Rays. Also glad the Rays finally get a decent closer for once, even though I will miss Aki going into the deeper abyss known as the Pirates. Only two more months.

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?
Homer replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
"Florida freezing", its like 37 outside. -
My number is 555-555-0155 But seriously, I would honestly keep the phone numbers in PM's rather than posting them out in public where search engine bots/spiders can pick them up. Maybe this thread should be for those interested in talking. Just saying, I'm not interested though but I'm pretty sure a lot of people on TPR would like to talk and start a 900 number.

What kind of device are you browsing TPR with?
Homer replied to TYTL's topic in Random, Random, Random
I usually use my laptop/PC to browse TPR. Displays it normally; I use Mozilla Firefox with the Black Stratini skin (I like dark themes) and surf with Verizon FiOS. Theme Park Review still looks the same it did since the day I registered. -
You're right. SPOILERS IN SUPER SMALL TEXT: I didn't expect it to suddenly turn it into Left 4 Dead. Must have taken a cue from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Also playing through Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction. I must say, this and NSMB Wii/Mario Galaxy series are the only good/imaginative platformers left this generation.

It's the end of a decade as we know it....
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
- Favorite new coaster Too much to decide. I liked Maverick a lot, but uniquely I'd say SheiKra. It singlehandedly brought back the Dive Machine out of irrelevance. - Favorite new ride Deluge at SFKK if that counts. - Favorite new park I was impressed with Holiday World and Indiana Beach. - Most memorable park moment Back at HHN 2002, when Toon Lagoon was covered in bubbles. I slipped into a bubble pile and was covered in suds for the rest of the night. Worth it though. - Most memorable coaster moment Maverick, all of it, because its a smorgasbord of everything good in a ride. - Best ERT session I would say the Kentucky Rumbler ERT at Beech Bend on the Midwest Trip. Enthusiast operators and overall great atmosphere of going on Rumbler over and over again in the dark. - Least favorite coaster Chance Toboggans, Gwazi - Least favorite ride N/A - Least favorite park I was unimpressed with the service at Mt. Olympus. The ops were generally uninterested in their job, some of the theming was falling apart. I just didn't feel welcome there. - Most interesting ride you've seen introduced I would say X2, Splash Battles, and rides like Maverick basically saying that size doesn't matter. Also, Deluge at SFKK, using Magnets to propel tubes instead of high powered jets make for a better ride. - Least interesting ride you've seen introduced I can't think of any. - Your favorite TPR moment (favorite post, trip report, video, whatever!) Way too many to list. RIP TPR Encyclopedia topic. - The decade's biggest flop Son of Beast, no contest. Top Thrill Dragster/Kingda Ka would be second, because they're short, always have a lot of downtime, and a really short lived gimmick. - The decade's biggest success ProSlide Tornado slides, every single water park seems to be adding one or a variation of it. No doubt why, it is a lot of fun. - The best meal you've had at a park Busch Gardens, Disney, Holiday World, and Kennywood always had great food. - The worst meal you've had at a park Cedar Point - Best park turnaround I would say by the looks of it, Wild Adventures. The Herschend's are really trying to make the park seem "less tourist trap-y." Also, the rebounds of Six Flags as a park chain. - Worst park turnaround I would say Elitch Gardens or the PARC chain in general. When I went to Elitch Gardens, it seemed kind of odd their "new for 2008" ride wasn't going to open until October, and there were TV ads out on the ride too. - What was the biggest trend of this past decade? Again, ProSlide Tornadoes. A lot of water parks have been adding one or a variation of it. Heck, water parks in general; look at Geauga Lake, SFKK, and SFA essentially adding a lot to their water parks. -
Hookers and blow.

The worst gift I got were from some distant relatives I don't see too often. For some reason, they still think I'm like 9 years old, so they get me toys and kiddish stuff. The worst was two Christmases ago when they got me some "Mini DVD Jr." player or something. Basically, think of PSP UMD's with an even shorter lived proprietary format. It came with 2 kids movies... I think it was Shark Tale and some old Looney Toons compilation. The only useful part of the gift was the rechargeable AA batteries (which comes in handy for the Wii remotes). Other than that, the gifts from them (Hot Wheels, stuff from the clearance bin at Ross, etc.) always end up in the Goodwill bin the next day. I seem like such an ungrateful bastard.

Larry makes a corkboard out of wine bottle corks
Homer replied to larrygator's topic in Random, Random, Random
My mom did this years ago with the accumulation of wine corks around my house. Nice looking on a kitchen countertop might I add. -
Playing through Uncharted 1 right now. If I'm impressed by Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2 should make me cream my pants. It really does feel like I'm playing through an Indiana Jones movie.

Away We Go A pretty funny and deep comedy about Jim from The Office and Maya Rudolph going across country to find godparents for their soon-to-be-born child. Lots of celebrity cameos and starts off light hearted in the beginning but toward the end it gets deeper. Well-done movie. 8/10 Forgotten Silver Peter Jackson's greatest film ever about the lost works of New Zealand film pioneer Colin McKenzie. Hard to believe this guy can change history. 10/10 ALSO SPOILERS:spoiler its a mockumentary and it fooled me the first time around, Mckenzie isn't real. Taken This movie is awesome with a side of awesomesauce. Liam Neeson could probably take out the entire country of France in probably one of the better action films of the decade. 8.5/10

Super happy right now, I'm pretty confident I have straight A's for the first time ever in my life.

^Enjoy lots of sneaking and cutscenes. Green Day: Rock Band better have stuff from Kerplunk and Dookie. You know, when they were better but didn't totally suck. 2010 is looking like another kick ass year for the PS3. God of War III, ModNation Racers, etc. The only peeve is PSN will start charging for "premium" features, but what they have now blows Xbox Live out of the water for me, and its free.

^Mass Effect... casual... dohoho. Playing through God of War again on my PS3, stuck on the Minotaur boss where you have to shoot logs at it for like 10 minutes then spend another 10 minutes trying to get a notch off its health bar. Rage inducing indeed.
