  1. Last weeks episode was glorious and I liked all of the callbacks. While the bleeping is annoying and I'm not a fan of the networking bending head over heel for extremists, I still have to say it was the best of the season. Scott Tenorman's scene was awesome with the Killing Joke reference.
  2. Florida finally getting a rocket coaster? Mother of god this is most exciting.
  3. Wait, there was a livestream chat of awesome B-movies? I nominate Troll 2 for a future chat;
  4. I've been to BGT far too many times by myself. When I want to geek out and basically "do an update" about the park, sure. I've been to Elitch Gardens by myself for some credit whoring because I was there. But I prefer company... you get that deep lonely/loser feeling when you see too many people with friends and family.
  5. Looks like CC had a good time AND managed to pitch a pretty good game against the Rays (No "no hitter" for you, at least). However, I don't know why Busch would want to put in an Australian theme in an African themed park. Weird, but I don't mind it that much.
  6. Lots, aside from obvious graphics upgrade, a lot more replayability... just too much to say. Right now I'm doing another 20 levels of tedious grinding before taking on Red. So far, my GOTY, but I still need to play Uncharted 2 and God of War III.
  7. No, just no. Another case of "Fundies say the damndest things."
  8. Here's a funny little read from The Onion: New Six Flags Ride Based On Realtionship With Deborah Sounds interesting, though I'm not sure about the stability of this Werner guy... Yes, I know it's an Onion story...
  9. I haven't visited the park in a while, but when did Gwazi's trains lose their art on the front of the trains? I know there's a possibility of Millennium Flyers being installed, but just wondering. Great trip report though.
  10. I'm going to say this one slide called Cape Fear at this small waterpark called Sun Splash. It's one of those pitch black slides, its fun, but of course there's the rule about having to stay in your innertube. However, most of the time there's always some really good pop of air that would eject me out of the tube or whip me around that I can't stay in the tube. I hate getting yelled at over the laws of gravity, because some of those laws were meant to be broken. Problem, Newton?
  11. In 14 karat gold. You mad.
  12. Never had this, though I did get a similar popup once a few months ago, but it didn't install anything. Latest version of AVG + AdAware, watching where you click, and general updating will have you clear.
  13. You're not the only manchild. HeartGold was here, SoulSilver is for impatient people that want their Lugia at a lower level. Virgin mode: You walk around with the Pokewalker clipped on.
  14. Just beaten Batman: Arkham Asylum the other day. I never thought it would be possible to make a good game where you are playing the cool "I'M THE GOD DAMN BATMAN" Batman. The Riddler Puzzles add a nice chunk of replayability and the developers stuck a lot of good extra nooks and crannies into this game. I cannot wait for the sequel. Also picking up Pokemon HeartGold on Sunday.
  15. You know, I may not post much, but I remember back on the Midwest trip (like 2007); the GCI guys visited and I asked whether or not Gwazi would get Millennium Flyers in the future. They responded "We'll see, we're working on it." So glad this came to fruition! I haven't rode Gwazi since 2006 and it gave me a killer headache afterward. It aged like milk really fast. But with Millennium Flyers, I hope Gwazi is enjoyable again. Millennium Flyer trains are comfortable compared to the PTC trains and should put less wear and tear on the wood. I need to get back to Busch soon anyways. Haven't been there in forever. Also want to see more come out of the 2011 project rumbling about.
  16. Happy fifth birthday TPR forums. I don't post much and nobody seems to recognize, but looking back at my old posts I realize how naive I was. But might I say, with the new forums upgrades and some of the optimism of Club TPR and the success of the trips. I hope there are many more years of TPR forums.
  17. Before this game and especially now, I will detest anybody yelling WHO DAT?
  18. It surely looks 'hip' and 'web 2.0!' However, wordfilters still suck.
  19. Playing through God of War II, near the end though. Still playing through Burnout Paradise as well, which to me is the only racing game that's not Mario Kart worth playing (unless you like simulations, then by all means Gran Turismo 5 looks really good.) I also might be a sucker and buy MLB 2K10 because Evan Longoria is on the cover.
  20. Didn't watch the Grammy's, not a big fan of Kings of Leon. Also, I personally think Cage the Elephant should have won best new artist, their debut album was actually pretty good even though "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" is overplayed.
  21. Once in a while I play LBP, to be honest I don't build levels but I enjoy the heck of playing a new level each day.
  22. If you ask me, I still think if Legoland were to build a park, why didn't they go for Splendid China instead? Sure Cypress Gardens has infrastructure built in, but driving through towns in Florida (especially where most drivers in Florida are slow) is a pain. It will take a miracle, I can say that much.
  23. Legoland Florida? Don't know if want...
  24. Thanks for sharing this, Erik. I'm probably the only one that misses the Wonders of Life pavilion because when I was younger, I always used to love riding around on those bicycles with the TV monitors attached to them showing scenes from around WDW. Alas, its gone, and the last pictures I've seen from inside had most of the attractions covered up and mold getting to some of the theming.
  25. I visited Elitch's back in 2008 when it was under PARC ownership and in 2006 under Six Flags ownership. Let me say, I prefer Six Flags's ownership. Notably, their "new for 2008" ride Ghost Blasters was still under construction in August (it opened in October, which is fitting). But the fact they had an ad campaign out for the ride being open and the ride missing most of the 2008 season raised some signs that cash isn't flowing in PARC. The employees under PARC's management, I know a few employees of EG post here. But for the most part, most of the employees seemed unenthusiastic under PARC's ownership. Either Six Flags (back in 2006 when they started to turn around) had some good morale boost or PARC was cutting back even more. While getting back "excess parks" is a curveball in Six Flags's plan of getting out of debt. I feel that Darien Lake, Elitch Gardens, and Magic Springs would benefit greatly from being under Six Flags control. But only time will tell what will happen right now.
