I want Desmond Jennings, Sam Fuld, and Evan Longoria back already. Elliot Johnson and Hideki Matsui are horrible at defense (though Matsui has at least helped out the Rays's offense woes), but at least pitching hasn't been too affected and Moore will probably gain more momentum since the hype died down after his lackluster starts. I can't wait for the All Star Game already, at least the Rays defense won't get so many errors.

Watch_Dogs and Project P-100 are the only two decent games so far at E3 that aren't a sequel. Disappointing, really.

Seriously bad theme park days
Homer replied to caffeine_demon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I consider myself grateful I have yet to experience a seriously bad theme park day. The only bad experience I had was when I was on the TPR Midwest trip in 07 and it started raining at SFGAm. American Eagle closed down due to rain and I would have been on the next train if it didn't start raining. Since the group had to leave soon, I figure American Eagle wouldn't be worth being stranded in Gurnee on the night before a Cedar Point trip. Later that night, things got kinda crazy-better when the power was out at the Hotel Breakers since a transformer near the park blew out during a thunderstorm. Awesome staying in the supposed "haunted wing" of the Breakers with just flashlights. -
Ya Stamkos is a great player, but as a team they are still playing terribly. Just one competent, young goalie is all I ask for next season.

I do like when I run into people from hs who give me odd looks when they find out [i'm 25 and] just now entering my 3rd year of college. I think to myself how much I money make and just ask them how the job market is and when will they be done paying their student loans.. That's why I went into a flexible field like Marketing, I honestly don't know where I could go with it. There are quite a few intern opportunities for a lot of different types of businesses.

Working on my B.S. degree in Marketing at Florida Gulf Coast University. I hate saying I've been out of high school for 4 years already and what I want to do with my life is still a big "if."

If anything, its probably a complication resulting from the concussion. Sad to hear and I wish his friends and family the best. Now, whose up for the Bolts winning the Stanley Cup again?

Finally got around to seeing Inception. And like everybody else, honestly, what the hell was I watching? Sure it was a still a good movie, well-paced with action, and good special effects. I know Christopher Nolan directs some odd movies, but this one takes the cake for how to comprehend the story. 4/5

I've been listening to Bomb the Music Industry a lot lately wondering why didn't I discover them sooner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-Vy6ZmCoOU Also, picked up Cage the Elephant's new album Thank You, Happy Birthday. Better than their last album, although it didn't really have the 90's feel their previous album had. I admit when I first heard "Shake Me Down" on the radio I didn't like it, but it slowly grew on me. Worth a listen if you're into alternative rock.

I agree Arkham Asylum is one of the few rare licensed games that are GOOD. Sure the combat is a little getting used to, but its amazing overall. Finished Assassin's Creed 1 recently. The storyline of that game is a giant WTF. The game is fun but gets repetitive later on and has a few bugs (namely when you're leaping across rooftops being chased is when the bugs get irritating), but worth a playthrough as well.

How can I bring a tortoise to a baseball game
Homer replied to pooshpa's topic in Random, Random, Random
It's Russian, it should be used to the cold. -
I've been on Flying Coaster at Elitch Gardens. I personally think the reason why Flying Coaster has been SBNO at Elitch's the past few years is probably the park trying to save money by not operating it. But I rode it in 2006. It felt like I was in some sort of screwed up torture machine since you're in a prone position. It hurt my back a little bit and it was VERY bumpy. While the spiral lift and stuff is cool, the rides themselves just plain suck.

Jackass 3D One of the best movies to watch with friends this year. The 3D, unfortunately, is few and far between save for a few stunts. In this movie, there's more of a "gross-out" factor of stunts involving crap and whatever other bodily fluids you can name rather than good ol' fashioned "physical" stunts that the Jackass crew have been known for (then again, you think they've become feeble after doing this for 10+ years and countless injuries). I can tell you, better have an iron gut before seeing Jackass 3D, because it has some of the more outrageous gross-out stunts I've seen. Its not necessarily good nor bad. If you're a fan, see it; if you don't like or don't "get" Jackass, just ignore it.

Lure the minotaur to the steps, have Kratos stand on the step while the minotaur is to your side and just hack and slash. Boom, made slightly easier.

Playing through inFamous wondering why I didn't buy this at release. A really fun game with a good story and I dig the comic book feel of the game.

Starting a roller coaster club at college
Homer replied to AWill961's topic in Random, Random, Random
Just join an engineering club or a club that partakes in social activities. There's a lot more to life than roller coasters, and I realized that by not posting here as often as I did in high school. -
Toy Story 3 Probably the best way to end the trilogy. The pacing and humor in the movie is great, lots of dark "sh*t got real" moments all over the place, and a manly tears ending. 5/5 Also, on the topic of Pixar and Dreamworks, pic related. Hosted on imageshack since its too big;
