  1. Oh, Okay, I know what that is, but it's not like a girl (I was thinking that joke could apply to all people) would need Kleenex when she's pumpin' it Right? And it's not like, well, everybody HAS to use . . . anyways, that Elissa White code I just tried now and the male/transexual peep just says: I'm so excited, It's an Intamin ride! So no royalties to Intamin or something
  2. I was wondering, will kids today like myself ever get to experience our own version of "charm"? But anyways, I always saw Nut Tree but thought it was just that, a building that had nuts in it So, I was surprised to hear it's actually something completely different.
  3. I remember that on Silver Bullet tshirts, not only was it red inverted vekoma track, but it was a recolored version of DeJaVu! I wondered what was going on in their minds, first they have to render Magic Mountain's ride, then recolor it. WTF?
  4. Are they getting one? I never heard of that. I heard of the Hard Rock park, hopefully it's not a "mild" park. Also, I think the track gets thicker so that when it goes over a road and is unsupported, it doesn't bend/get torn apart. Edit: Ah, okay, I just found a pic of the park. You know that Dubai park? If the rides were exactly what the models looked like, it would be hard to figure who made them . . . It looks like a B&M mega coaster though, so that could be why the track is different thickness maybe.http://www.themeparkinsider.com/reviews/hard_rock_park/ I guess Tatsu/Patriot/Goliath/Goliath showed that Clermont Steel could juggle between multiple projects.
  5. I wondered about that cheat as well! But my favorite was Melanie Warn because she made everybody happy. Also, what's with the kleenex joke? I read it so many times I just want to know what it means? Is it like crying and wiping away tears of joy?...
  6. Haha, that parade looks so sleezy after I saw Magic Kingdom's
  7. I was hoping to hear what the ride was sooner, but I start school next Monday! Though I'm across the coutry and will probably ride the ride when it's five years old, I can still be interested in what it looks like
  8. I don't remember waiting over 30 minutes for any ride at the park, except for the 3D theater. Though I'm basing this on a thursday visit last year and a visit in 2002!
  9. I noticed that about Asian shuttle rides. It seems like a better idea to me. You start backwards, then at the other half of the ride, your all of a sudden facing down thinking "OH MY GOD WE'RE GONNA FALL!" More dramatic then slow pull backwards on a vekoma boomerang.
  10. That's also my (hopeful) plan. But I don't want to work for B&M or Intamin. They never worked on coasters before, they worked on things like bridges. Then after Werner Stengel and Bolliger die (they are pretty old) I hope to snatch the opportunity to become a coaster designer. Or, I'd still be designing buildings instead. Either way, I'll try when I get older (maybe 50 like Bolliger) and get more experience. Unless the market gets pretty bad . . .
  11. I remember there is a PDF from the manufacturer. They're still selling it: http://www.okamotos.co.jp/Roller%20Coaster.pdf Taken from www.okamotos.co.jp (Okamoto web site)
  12. You won third but you don't know the name of the society? Anyways, that looks really nice, I've always wanted to see a cad roller coaster car before, no manufacturer would realease them. Do you plan on working in or starting an engineering business?
  13. Well, I think Screamin' Swing was fun and if they really want to continue the trend of family rides, they should install that. The one at Knott's, I remember, there was a little kid who looked like he was bored of it while his parents where all excited on it and scared. He must have been trying to be macho though. I was even surprised by the lack of restraints and felt uneasy, but that's a good thing when talking about rides. If they could get a screamin' swing with no five dollar fee, allt eh better for them. But personally, I'd love to see a new roller coaster there, like a prefab woodie (like balder) that could replace grizzly. Marine world's got Roar, and Grizzly can't compete with that. But that ride isn't so old that it would be removed. Too bad they're land locked.
  14. Ah, I see, so they probably account for this during designing. I guess that means no flips at the bottom then (although it would be painful if they did that)
  15. Rats smell like peanuts. (I had a pet rat, so I know)
  16. I know, there looks like so much scenery in the way of Black Mamba that even after seeing construction pics I'm still amazed it fit in Silver Bullet, the second B&M invert I've been on, didn't even have water foot choppers. I wonder why they didn't do that? If they can destroy the view of the pond, they could have utilized it better.
  17. I wouldn't be worried. Sheikra is still running even though the top brakes at 200ft up stopped the train. This is not nearly as "scary" for them.
  18. Well, not fun for the mouse that had to be eaten Just kidding. I can imagine some kid having to feed the eagle the mouse and freaking out. NOOOO NOT MICKEY!!!!!!!!
  19. I liked that article. I wonder what happened to anthrax, I forgot to be worried about it and now they remind me of it Just kidding. And at this time, MSLSM has 666 posts. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!111111
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think that extra space is so too much stress doesn't damage the assembly. It's like how some of the woodies have track that bends as it goes to absorb force.
  21. That would be very dumb of them, they need to add new stuff, no matter how nice they make their employess. They'll add more family stuff, though.
  22. I know it's obviously a trailing wheel set, but it seems like it could relay info like track position to the station instead of using sensors throughout the ride. I agree with Rob as well, I would ride this if I went to Japan, but I wouldn't go to Japan to ride ONLY this. It would still make me excited, though, since I rode X after a four-five hour wait and dehydrated, I may have overly hyped it inside to make me feel like it was worth it They could do so much more with the ride, like rotate the two sides differently (unless they "have" to be parallel by some cylinder mechanism). And I too wonder what the hell that THING with wires and air conditioner looking thing is for . . .
  23. That Virginia alpine slide was in my Biology Textbook about some guys who scratched themselves and had a huge alergic reaction. But, obviously you can't get scratched on the alpine coaster.
  24. I love it as well. It's like having to go to the bathroom really badly and making it at the last moment! Atleast, to me. I think Ghostrider may be the only coaster I've been on that has alot of airtime, the two Giovanola hypers I've been on unfortunately had no airtime, so I don't know what "super extreme" or "sustained" airtime is like.
