  1. Rodents are probably as fun as donkeys. I especially like rats, they are so cute when they curl up and go to sleep. I hope the house value doesn't go down because I buried Nibbles in my backyard though But now I have Cockatiels and they're just as fun
  2. I just read that you where a game producer. I got an Xbox that has a faulty DVD drive (cheap Micrsoft, but it's still fun) and an N64 and Gamecube and once wanted to be a designer, but after reading about how getting a developers kit is nearly impossible and, how I'm rather "not" that artistic except with stick figures I had a friend who has a Super Nintendo, and I thought that was like the biggest thing, then there was the N64 and I got it for Christmas in '97? and was very daunted by its 64 bit graphics And then when I saw the graphics getting better (like the Dreamcast and the PS2) I was like, I've seen alot of change and I wouldn't be comfortable with designing such elaborate maps, levels, etc. I'd rather stick to playing the games instead. Surprisingly, I haven't tried that Elissa code in RCT, I'll do it right now.
  3. That could be the British way of spelling it though Just kidding. They have made a few Intamin rides, there's California screamin' and those Indiana Jones rides in Asia, but California screamin' doesn't seem to have that mystical castle look to it
  4. "What about Disney and what not" What about a park that isn't movie/TV related that has good theming in America? It's refreshing to see a park that has good theming that isn't based on some other franchise. Though it might take more money to come up with a new custom made theme instead of having monetary support from the franchises. Also, if anybody has every played the Gamecube game called the Windwaker (yes, I'm just a kid ) there's a level that looks just like this theming, an old, weathered fortress. I forget what it was called, though.
  5. I remember this ride type in RCT 3. The solid track also keeps with the snake theme, but it did scare me at first after seeing pictures of it Also, for the record, I feel better after riding a rough ride than a ride on a smooth B&M. The rough ride makes me know I'm on a roller coaster, but the smooth B&M makes me feel strange, like when it inverts, I'm not truely upside down, and when the inversion is done, it feels like only my head went upside down and not the rest of my body. I get off wondering what the heck I went through. They are so smooth that I feel the effects of the ride more than I remember being on the ride . . . if that is understandable Doesn't mean I don't love them though. And, that Pax shuttle ride looks fruity. There
  6. It should be, I remember seeing on the plans for the park that it is the centerpiece to a master planned community. So, everyday, when the residents are bored, they can go visit the park. Sounds pretty fun.
  7. The only thing that ruins it is what looks like smog running in . . . or that could be the fog, I don't know When the Olympics run by, they should be pretty busy. What I really like about the theming is that it really does show what a difference it makes when changing colors and taking a clone design. http://p2.rcdb.com/picmax/formosan-aboriginal-culture-village/mayan-adventure8.jpg The ride can look unique even though it is a clone.
  8. But shouldn't it be cheaper since they're in Russia? Also, Arrow's proposed fishook ride had this on it.
  9. There are two Giovanola hypers, Goliath has no helix before the MCBR, thus this one is Goliath. Also, there are mountains in the background, whereas the other one, Titan, does not since it is in Texas.
  10. How the hell could that even happen? They would have to have them printed, receive the signs in the mail and look at them and think before they put them up. Oh well, they'll probably be shipped back to New Jersey . . .
  11. Three way tie for me since I haven't rode that many: X, Ghostrider, and Medusa West. I've been to SFOT as well, but I can't make up my mind
  12. Yeah, I remember when I was too short when three trains ran on Medusa and saw them stack. I thought it broke down, but now I know better BTW, is it really called Nitro now?
  13. Yeah, I'm surprised as well that few parks seem to change their color schemes on the same ride as it goes along. Stealth at Thorpe Park does this. Of course, they probably would not want a rainbow happy ride.
  14. I once saw a picture of a Maurer Sohne ride that was in it's daily check, and the locking was based on the same principle as the anti roll back device. Also, there is a patent for the Arrow train design that uses a hydraulic pump and a valve box to control oil under and above a disc in the cylinder. So, when you pull the restraint down, the bottom of the cylindre fills up (the piston disc moves up) and when you try to push it up (the piston disc tries to move down) it goes against the oil and thus stays locked. The valve box unlocks the restraint by allowing oil flow to go to the other side of the piston.
  15. I'm glad it's more spaced out than the Volare. Volare looks really tight, and from what I've heard, painful as well. It looks like it would be great, it could offer a new type of thrill in a compact space.
  16. Yeah, but it looks more interesting when it's put together Actually, it's nice to be able to see that a ride will be built at a certain park before it's announced I've never seen the fabrication facility and always thought it was in Switzerland until I saw pictures of Patriots track.
  17. I got that one as well, but two of the discs were glitchy. The Alvey's where very cool about it and I got two replacements that worked perfectly. There are lots of strange things in Japan compared to America, but that's why I got the video
  18. ^^ Darn, if it's not near the Mediterranean, then I don't know if I want to go to this park Nah, all I've heard about Dubai up till now is that there are Europeans who buy vacation homes there. Go figures I don't know where Dubai UAE is (near north Saudi Arabia) that they haven't done their job yet.
  19. I pretty much figured that. The whole Great America name adds to the reason I don't like it: it's just a plain old misnomer. It isn't great, and you probably know that. I just wish there where more parks to be proud of over here in California I really like Knotts Berry Farm, and if it was Cedar Fair who made the park good, then I hope they can do the same for Great America.
  20. Hey, here's a picture of it: Got from chinabroadcast. Looks like a less fruity version of Superman.
  21. Dubai's near the mediterranean, not India When I'm graduated from college, looks like this thing will be done. I have a feeling that it will be as successful as they hope it will. It could be the next quitessential destination like Paris. I'd sure go. It's like the amusement park I dreamed of going to, but didn't think anybody would make enough money to build it If that sounds right. Now that I see it, it seems like those OCT parks they've built in China. They'll just keep on expanding.
  22. I agree with that. They need something that will compell thrill seekers in northern California (or maybe others in America) to come over. They need an attraction that stands out. It's odd that the closest thing they've made to do that was Stealth (but I was only one when Top Gun and Vortex opened, so maybe they where considered world class in their time). The park Marine World, with its 150 height limit, built the maximum ride height it could. Great America still hasn't reached it's full potential. It's called Great America, not Carrowinds (whatever that means). Maybe they should change their name from Great America if they can't live up to it.
  23. I went to Great America once when I was eight, before Stealth, and I was never tall enough to ride anything except the kiddie rides and Grizzly (which was fun at least for me). Then I moved to Sacramento, Stealth gets removed (I never got to ride it but saw the commercials for it) , and I feel like I have no real reason to go to the park again, even with all the Nick stuff that should have made a kid like me LOVE the park. It may be just me, but I rode the kiddy coasters because I couldn't ride the bigger rides. I'm surprised that PGA gets treated like this, but they probably suffer the Canada's Wonderland syndrome since Marine World is their only competition in Northern California. But on the plus (or minus) side, they were featured in Beverly Hills Cop
  24. Yeah, I noticed this as well a while ago. It's like, the spine never has to be bent in a 3d way. It stays flat. The ties are what have to be modified. Imagine the left side of the tie staying constant, but the right side gets "taller". Thus, banking occurs.
  25. LOL, my mom's Philipino and I always have to eat spam. I guess islanders love it for some reason.
