Here's another old rusted park, no wonder it's not existing anymore http://www.rcdb.com/ig3028.htm However, here's a good looking picture: http://p2.rcdb.com/picmax/onokoro/bayside-coaster2.jpg Peaceful, next to the mountains in a fishing community, no skyscraper in sight. One thing I've noticed is that in the Japanese manufacturers' profiles, the rides are know as leisure machines, a means to escape the hectic life. I've noticed that in America, they can be known as vomit machines by some people. Also, I sometimes get a warm feeling seeing pictures of bayside parks, forested parks, etc. when my nearest park is Marine World, which is more like a giant concrete slab with a hill in the center (but has concrete on it). There are probably less crowded parks in their country; I've noticed that every province has a park. If I visited Japan, I'd try to tour around the little parks for a change in pace; sometimes I get tired of the Six Flags style park. But then there are crowded places like Tokyo. I still haven't even grown up enough to explore America's parks, so I haven't seen if such a peaceful park exists here in our country yet.

It seems like they fit alot more coasters in a California sized country than California fits into itself. Maybe the cheap designs allow more rides to be built there. I sometimes find myself looking at intersting Japanese rides on RCDB when I don't have time to do anything better, it's fun to see what quirky coasters they have. I found the most disgusting coaster I've ever seen there: It looks like the ride is covered in bird crap. But some of their rides are beautiful to look at (all white, though. . . ) It's just, not what I'm used to seeing. One day, I'll ride them as well (hopefully they don't get rougher, though).

Got from Urban Dictionary (where else to look?) Sounds painful. I thought it could be toasted testicles or something. -

B&M vs Intamin
stormrider replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"They are both the best and they could rule the world if they collaborated MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA" Nah, they've all changed over the years. I like B&M better, though, since there's more B&Ms in California than Intamin, I can't make a fair comparison. don't get how there's no mega coaster in the west that doesn't have problems (like Goliath). -

Yeah. I just looked at the last two pics and they where posted at 8:27, must be a fun thread. Oh yeah, Cyclone Racer (my pic) was made by Harry Traver (if that's his company's name, might have been Prior and Church company), and is your flat ride a Zamperla Z-Force? I get confused with S&S style tower rides, they all look so similar, but that one has a polygon shape, not square, hmm. -

Jeeze, I feel bad with the post count going up, but as soon as I post a response, two more pictures appeared. I was replying to Parktrip's, and Goliath is made by Giovanola. -

Just checked, could it be Soriani & Moser? Not that I'd actually ever heard of them before or anything. There are so many copy cat flat rides around. -

I remember hearing good things about this ride, I wonder why the only two beachside California woodies are Giant Dipper. -
So it can be a good thing, I see. So, usually the crowds get shorter afterwards? Sounds nice, but I've heard that it doesn't really matter how crowded it is . . . but it's only going to be a day anyways. I should be able to ride the B&M rides before afternoon storms, correct? I don't really give a hoot about Gwazi and Python, it's like, if I have time, I'll ride them to add to my coaster count (which is pretty low).

Hey, I'm going in August for a family trip, but I see "isolated thunderstorms" on the weather forcast, but it's still pretty hot. Can anybody describe isolated thunderstorms in Florida I don't want that kind of thing to ruin a trip. Also, what are the waits for Sheikra, Montu, Kumba, (during this time of year). I used the search and found this topic, so there may be a further search that will reveal this info anyways. So, any help? Thanks.

Yeah, that's it. I'm surprised you knew. Of course, I'm not saying you are, but all you have to do is look at the picture source for the answer -

A New B&M At A New Park

Yikes, I knew there was something wrong with the mailman when he didn't recognize me, he must be a clone Seriously though, to them, I bet if it works, they'd rather get a tried and true layout. That's why you don't seem OCT getting those weird Chinese sameco or http://www.china-sbl.com rides. I wonder if one day those companies could evolve to be bigger players in the coaster world. Not to say they aren't capable of choosing a custom ride, they're at least theming it. -

That looks sort of like the frequent faller except smaller. Too bad for Interactive Rides that theirs wasn't built. -

Wow, they open the restraints for you? Also, that ride looked more intense than X was on account of that full full, I would imagine being flipped to the side pretty fast on that inversion. -

There's a Youtube video of the ride in action here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmfcJvDG7tU So it borrows alot from Stealth and Kingda Ka. -
SFMM MAXIMUM height restrictions
stormrider replied to DegoRed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If that's the case, shouldn't it be considered that some tall people have shorter legs than shorter people that can go on the ride? I've noticed since I'm only 5' tall that other people I see are taller because their upper bodies are higher So, they just must be playing it safe. -
I went ahead and PMed him again and he mentioned that if they didn't approve it yet, he would go ahead a post it anyways. I don't know, but I think when he did the interview they knew he would post it, so I'm not sure if they really have to approve it or not. Time will tell.

Ah, so that whole roll back thing before was because they used makeshift lightweight test boats instead? I guess I judged Kumbak too soon!
