Where Should I Go In 2015?
RideofSteel replied to YOLO's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you're really into credits NJ/PA is the place for you. Dorney, Hersey, Great Adventure, Knoebels and Morey's are all within a couple hours of Philly. There are also lots of smaller parks nearby, such as a Clementon Park (rare S&S woodie), Funplex Mount Laurel (SBF Visa spinning mouse), Steel Pier, Castaway Cove, and more. You also could go down to SFA or up to NYC within a couple hours. -

Top 5 Worst Standard 689m SLCs
RideofSteel replied to thoe124's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've only been on three. They're in order of worst to best. 3. Mind Eraser at Elitch Gardens. Very rough and shakes like crazy. This was the only one to have two train operations but the park only runs the ride with two operators making dispatches slow. It also happened to break down right before I got on both times I was at the park. 2. Mind Eraser at SFA. I don't remember too much about the ride besides minor headbanging and it being a walkon. 1. Mind Eraser at SFNE. Maybe I just got a good ride on it, but I thought this SLC was better than the B&M floorless next door. I didn't get any headbanging and it was really intense. -

Rides that Sometimes Run Differently

El Toro goes from being an average ride on cold morning with empty trains to being an OMFG amazing ride when it gets warmer. The Rolling Thunder hill is always disappointing on the early morning rides. -
I was stuck on Green Lantern's final brakes for about 20 minutes during its opening year. The other two trains were stuck at the top of the lift and the MCBR. Then, when they were able to get our train moving into the station every couple feet it slammed to a stop. Very uncomfortable. The ride reopened for a couple minutes after that before braking down again, but that time riders had to be evacuated. I was stuck at the top of Rolling Thunder's lift for a couple minutes last year, nothing major. The worst was on Batman this year. We sat on the final brakes, in that awful, unbearably hot room for about half an hour. The employees were fantastic though, and brought up water a couple of times. It was at least 100 degrees outside that day, so it had to have been far more where we were stuck.

Skull Mountain last night -
I was shocked with how busy the park was last night. It took us almost an hour to go through security, get a bring a friend ticket, and go into the park. Zumanjaro in the dark is completely insane. I could see lights for a city, but I'm not sure if it was Philly or Trenton. Ka's dispatches must have really been slow last night because they were sending one Ka train for every Zumanjaro cycle for the most part. We only waited half an hour, the line looked much longer later. They really need lights in Kingda Ka's queue. There are no lights by the test seat and along the path leading to the switchbacks. Batman was awesome, and had the fastest operations in the park, as usual. Skyscreamer was taking FOREVER to load last night. We waited half an hour for four cycles.

Snapchat has been so glitchy the past couple of days. It's been gives me the notification that I have a new snap but when I go in the app I don't have any. It's so annoying.
