What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Batman at SFGADv -
I was kinda disappointed with Great Adventure this morning. The El Toro crew at opening was terrible... Stacking for a long time every cycle. It also seemed that every single cycle they had to recheck at least one car. The Bizarro crew was just as bad. I do not understand why they start the ride every day with three trains even though it never has a line for the first couple hours and always double stacks. This morning they were filling the trains less than half full about an hour after opening. Why not take a train or two off so that the trains don't stack for as long? I also saw drugs being used in one of the bathrooms... Classy. On a positive note, Batman was running amazing as usual. It's hard to believe that ride is 21 years old. Zumanjaro is looking great! A path leading to the ride has been poured. The entrance is right by the Kingda Ka entrance and the path runs right along where Rolling Thunder's return run used to be. You can see it while riding El Toro.

Great Adventure obviously isn't perfect, but I think in the past few years they have been improving a lot. Yum Yum Palace's exterior was completely repainted. Work was done over the past off-season to improve the exteriors of some of the buildings on Main Street. The log flume is also getting a major refurbishment. Frontier Adventures looks amazing compared to previous years, and Plaza Del Carnaval has always stood out to me as one of the nicest areas of the park. Adventure Alley also looks great compared to a couple years ago when it was almost empty. That being said, I think there are several areas in the park that could use improvement. Nitro's queue looks terrible, and the station and ride look worse and worse every year. Last season Superman's queue was awful too. But, making changes to those areas will not bring in any more money for the park and will be very expensive. I'm thinking about heading to the park this weekend... If I do I'll be sure to take pictures for a PTR.

^ The flat package in 2012 costed multi-millions. A very unique slide was also added. In 2013, the safari changes costed millions. (Over a dozen trucks, two stations, a whole new stop during the safari, along with the added cost of staffing). There was also a major water park addition. For 2014, Drop of Doom definitely costed multi-millions. Just because they didn't add coasters doesn't mean they were weren't investing a lot of money into new attractions.

^Coming from someone who visits Great Adventure regularly, I loved Six Flags New England. The entrance and all the shops in that area were so charming. The rides seemed to be maintained very well. And contrary to the things I had heard about Thunderbolt and Cyclone, I thought they were great rides! I also thought the staff were incredibly friendly... Plus Goliath and Bizarro. I really hope to go back this season, but it doesn't look too likely. Im not sure if I would ride the new Skyscreamer though... It's tall.

^Sounds good! I remember it was quite rough during 2012 but still a fantastic ride.
