I think Zamperla is much more successful than they get credit for. They don't offer large coasters, but they completely dominate the kiddie and family ride markets. Almost every park has a collection of Zamperla rides, and this year alone (2014) they built nine new coasters. They also have had incredible success with their larger flats, such as the Discovery, Power Surge, Disco, and Air Race.

I might be the only one, but I LOVE coasters that are completely white. Looking great! -
How do you watch YouTube?
RideofSteel replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I usually watch YouTube on my computer. Sometimes I'll use my phone, but not too often. I subscribe to about 15 channels and I check the My Subscriptions page a couple times per week. I rarely go directly to a channel. As for sharing, I don't think I have ever shared a YouTube video on any social media site. -

TPR's Monday Fun Emails
RideofSteel replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I voted no. I use multiple emails, and my TPR account is not registered under the email that I check daily. I usually don't see the emails for a couple days after they are sent, and by then the information is somewhat outdated (Pages of discussion already, etc.). I also check the forum daily, so I usually have seen everything that is included in the email before it is sent. However, I really like the look of the emails and the content is fantastic. If I didn't have time to check the forums in a week the emails would be great. -

Most Overrated coaster?
RideofSteel replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Bizarro. It was a good coaster, but at the same time I didn't think it lived up to the hype. -
What are your TOP TEN COASTERS
RideofSteel replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1. El Toro - SFGADv 2. Goliath - SFNE 3. Phoenix - Knoebels 4. Superman: Ride of Steel - SFA 5. Nitro - SFGADv 6. Sidewinder - Elitch Gardens 7. Bizarro - SFNE 8. Roller Coaster - Lagoon 9. Batman: The Ride - SFGADv 10. Batwing - SFA -
^I agree that the ride is most fitting at SFA. SFA reminded me a lot of Elitch Gardens, and the same ride seemed to fit in quite well there. I really need to get back to SFA. Since I was last there they added two new coasters and a set of flyers. It's nice to see the park working to improve so much!

Awesome report! WoF looks like a really great park with a ton of both classic and modern attractions. The water park looks fantastic too. -
Most Coaster Credits in a Calendar Year
RideofSteel replied to redfoot12's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
In 2012 I got about 20 new credits, going to parks such as Elitch Gardens, Lagoon, and Six Flags New England for the first time. However, usually I don't gain more than 10 credits a year. -
I would be fine if the new ride is a permanent model like Brain Drain at Elitches. Brain Drain looked really nice and the guests seemed to absolutely love it. It will give Great Adventure a new experience, hangtime on a loop, and will be a good step-up from the smaller coasters to the big B&M's. I'm guessing it will be located next to Zumanjaro's entrance as some work has begun on the ground there. Batman backwards doesn't really excite me too much... I can't imagine riding it and not getting sick. Also, I've seen Clementon Park market their Ring of Fire ride as a coaster, so it isn't just Six Flags doing that.
