  1. The little family L&T coaster at Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, NJ.
  2. Wow! That looks a lot bigger than I was expecting. Looks awesome.
  3. I voted no. I think it would take away traffic from the forum and would only increase exposure to people you wouldn't really want on the forum (obnoxious, non-enthusiasts, etc). I also think most of the people that would subscribe on there already follow TPR on instagram, twitter, facebook, and/or youtube, and many would already be members to this site.
  4. ^^I think I would go for Superman first, the Kingda Ka, Zumanjaro, and Green Lantern. El Toro and Nitro both have really fast moving lines and Bizarro usually doesn't have a long line. Batman's line is unpredictable, but it moves fast (not sure if it still does with the backwards trains). You probably won't get on all of the coasters.
  5. Has anyone else taken the new survey yet? The attraction discussed seems pretty cool to me.
  6. Why are they still bothering with the Power Surge? I don't think many guests would even notice if it was removed completely. And down the road they could replace it with an air race or another inverting flat.
  7. That's so obviously fake. "Please reply down below about Krypt down below." No official Six Flags survey would have this large of a grammar mistake.
  8. Great Adventure: -1999 War on Lines -Two of the four water rides in the park in the early 2000's without replacement -Using The Dark Knight as the theme for a wild mouse.
  9. Talon at Dorney! Such a great ride at a very underrated park.
  10. Ugh you're making me want to go back to Dorney already! Great trip report! I love the gifs.
  11. ^They may have been expecting a slow day. One train on the Corkscrew and SLC isn't really a big deal, and is pretty common at a lot of parks. I doubt Merlin would run all their rides with one train, especially those made by another manufacturer, because of the Smiler incident.
  12. I had a great day at the park yesterday. No crowds in the amusement park but the water park looked packed. The longest line was maybe 10 minutes for any of the coasters (besides the Wild Mouse which was only running with 4 cars). Ride Count: -Steel Force 3x - Decent coaster... Not too much airtime but it had great speed and the last few hills were really fun. The crew was also barely stacking which was great. -Dominator 3x - Both sides were a lot of fun. Great ride. -Demon Drop 5x - Loved this!! Definitely my favorite non-coaster ride at Dorney. The drop was unbeatable and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. -Thunderhawk 3x - Great woodie. Kinda rough with some jarring moments but it was a blast. The last few hills would have been amazing if the trim was off. -Stinger 3x - So much fun. Very smooth and intense. Ran all day without issues. -Possessed 2x - My first coaster of this type. I loved the holding brake. -Hydra 1x - Decent, the roll out of the station was definitely the best part of the ride. Kinda forceless. -Talon 1x - Perfectly smooth and great layout. Definitely in the top 3 at the park. -Log Flume (I forget the name) - Really fun and surprisingly wet! The capacity was awful though. Is a visual scan really needed for each boat? -Also rode several flats but I'm blanking on the names. Operations were much better than I'm used to at Great Adventure. However, none of the employees seemed happy or were friendly. The food workers seemed very young and did not seem like they knew what they were doing. The park also was perfectly clean and looked beautiful, especially between Thunderhawk and Steel Force. I'll be back this season for sure.
  13. Add Stinger at Dorney to my pleasant surprise list. I was expecting a rough and uncomfortable ride but it was smooth and forceful, and possibly my favorite coaster at the park.
  14. Stinger was open all day today, and it was riding great! I loved the rapping ride rules. Full report later.
  15. ^ Great trip report. I'm dying to get back to Knoebels. Hopefully early this summer.
  16. ^It will be 24 just like the other Six Flags Super Loops. Only half of the train has been installed.
  17. ^SBF really has a winner on their hands with these spinners. Such a simple design but it looks to provide a very fun ride. Great addition to the park.
  18. Wow Karnan is looking much better than I expected. I can't wait see the rest of the track go up and hear how it rides!
  19. In my opinion, complaining to the ride op is a bit rude. They must be so bored, checking lap bars, waiting for the train to return, and repeating for hours at a time, no wonder they're having conversations. I would never complain to them, reprimanding an employee is the job of a manager/higher-up, not the job of an enthusiast who doesn't want to wait in line. I also wouldn't let someone taking an extra minute to check the train ruin my day, because in the long run, it really does not matter.
  20. ^I've always found it interesting how the entire tower turns on the Zamperla and ARM versions of the ride as opposed to the Funtime versions. Looks like a great addition for the park!
  21. According to some people over at Great Adventure History the old Music Express that was rotting away in the closed Old Country has been removed. Hopefully this means something will come to the area in the near future, whether it be something for Holiday in the Park or a future ride. Also, I'm pretty disappointed the new ride hasn't been built yet. It's a simple carnival ride. One of the world's biggest amusement parks should be able to have it built and ready to go for the beginning of the season. ESPECIALLY after they saw how disappointed people were after Zumanjaro opened so late last year.
