Lagoon Discussion Thread

I can't wait to see the layout for this thing! Stinks it won't open til 2015 though... Since I am going back there next summer. Is this coaster being designed in house like Bombora was? -

Knoebels Discussion Thread

I don't think Power Surge is getting removed... It's still listed on their site. The ride looked really fun, but at the same time it looked like it was plopped down in the middle of a path. The awkward, temporary fence blocking you from the black of the ride didn't seem quite up to Knoebels quality. -
What's your most hated coaster company?
RideofSteel replied to mrlego611's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SBF Visa Group. At 36 feet tall, Funcoaster is one of the worst, if not the worst coaster I have ridden. Horribly designed and manufactured. It hasn't even been running for a season and parts of it look like they are falling apart already. It definitely was a low cost, low quality coaster. -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Batman at SFGADv! -
Today was the Key Club Day... Full queues for all the coasters. The ride operators were awesome though. There was no stacking on any of the coasters... Except Bizarro, which was double stacking with a full queue. Nitro was running really rough. The bottom of the first drop really shook us around. One of the trains was making a weird screeching noise when it went through the turn around before the lift. Everything about Nitro needs a refurbishment. The turn before the lift looks awful. It was a mixture of gum, fading paint, dirt, and bird poop. The front of the station looks awful. The queue looks awful. The trains look awful. The seat next to me was wrapped in duct tape. It's a shame... Batman was running amazing today though. I got a ride on the rebuilt train. There wasn't a single moment of headbanging. It doesn't look like anything has been done to Rolling Thunder. The track looked really rusty (probably from all the rain and no trains on it in the past month).

Just checked... Elitch's website says it will be down for the rest of the season. -
Photo Trip Report: Elitch Gardens!

Sidewinder is awesome. It's actually in my top 5. I have yet to experience any other coaster with that level of airtime, where you physically lift out of the seat and slam into the OTSR. -
I went to Great Adventure with the sole purpose of taking pictures today! Didn't ride a thing. Lines were overflowing out of their queues. The sky isn't too nice looking, but I can't do much about that! Enjoy! These first two pictures were actually taken outside the park. El Toro's back running! (Well it has been but yanno) Rolling Thunder looks untouched. Bizarro was dispatching very fast! I'm guessing they had four attendants checking. I love close-ups of track. I don't know why. And here's some random shots... I love the fountains color!

Have you ever been to Great Adventure? The area between RT and Kingda Ka is cramped. If they weren't removing RT then Kingda Ka's queue would probably have to be completely redone. The snack stand by the entrance would have to go, and the lockers would have to be moved. I liked Rolling Thunder, but it wasn't great, and it isn't anything to cry over.
