Most INTENSE Coaster Moment?
CPmillenia94 replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^yes to all three especially Hypersonic. Most intense moment of my entire life with that launch. For Intimidator, the entire blitz of the transitions of the first half is just ridiculous and impossibly fast paced. Honorable mention goes to storm runner for the launch and the flying snake dive. -
B&M vs Intamin

^I still don't understand how they made Volcano so smooth and then made such poorly fabricated track for the superman's a couple years later.. -
Airtime or Forcefulness?
CPmillenia94 replied to tarheel1231's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Agreed. -
It wont. Mind Eraser is more thrilling to me. Honestly though idk what happened but the second half of that ride just crawls compared to what it used to be like, and even though there is airtime still it just feels like its dragging through everything. Those helixes are the worst pace killers.. In fact, I didn't even completely appreciate how much worse it had gotten until I rode SFA's S:ROS and found it to be better in every way. The last three hills on that ride were crazier than the whole sum of bizarro's current ride experience. Regarding Millennium "Forceless" it has picked up pace a bit in the past few years I'd say, and there was already decent airtime on all the hills before. If people say MF doesn't have airtime then in that case every B&M hyper has no airtime either considering that MF's is both stronger and more sustained than any B&M hyper I have ridden (except possibly nitro's hill after the hammerhead).

New Intamin looper train?
CPmillenia94 replied to kadabrium's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Idk how comfortable the would be with those barrel rolls... All of my weight is on the restraint with volcano when I'm sideways and it doesn't seem like it would be comfortable not having support... -
Florida- Rip Ride Rockit (Kumba was closed when I visited) Connecticut- Boulder Dash Ohio- Maverick Massachusetts- Goliath (bizarro just goes to show how much a difference trains and restraints can make) Pennsylvania- Storm runner (yes I have been on thighcrush) Virginia- I305 (best coaster of all time) Texas- NTAG New Jersey- El Toro (this past year this just got crazy not sure what changed, Nitro takes second) Maryland- Ride of Steel
-
^as far as the ongoing argument with that, my stance is the same as mitch hawker poll's. If the track or supports or some vital part of the ride is partially or completely steel then the wheels have to be traditional steel wheels for it to count as wooden. Polyurethane on steel track is the only way it can be counted as steel really.
-
If anyone needs an example of how this will track look to phantoms revenge. As far as I know that tracks incredibly well. The track is wider and the trains sit lower than coasters with the wheels on the outside so expect it to feel VERY smooth and controlled, even more so than your typical steel track. Thinking back to every arrow and vekoma I've ridden I can hardly notice when it starts moving in the station because they track so smoothly..

^Volcano is fairly more intense than Wicked Twister if that's worth anything.. ^^I found all of cheetah hunts launches to be pretty lame and forceless personally Also for those of you wondering what 1g is comparable to the Hulk has exactly 1g for its launch. Kanonen most likely has around the average hydraulic acceleration which is 1.5 gs -
Holiday Park Discussion Thread

I love seeing those traditional style track sections pop up on the new premiers again. Wish I could say that about the most recent styling of their trains.. Regardless I love this layout and it should be a fantastic addition! Seems like just what the park needed. -
Just about anytime there is a thread following construction on a coaster site, comments like the above are a dime a dozen. In this case, though, I've got to agree- even though it only looks halfway finished and I've never been on any RMC yet. I think it's the coherence of the layout that I like but I can put my finger on it..

Alpengeist cobra roll and mavericks roll that got removed. And yeah coming out of the spire the rolls on chiller were very quick.

^Yeah well someone needs to explain to busch gardens that mid brakes are not put there to bring the train to a near stop mid ride.. It would be soo much better. -
Nigloland! New Coaster for 2014
CPmillenia94 replied to msep003's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It makes me angry that this is a knock off.. If it was nearly the same price there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't be intamin. -

Grizzly and Rebel Yell both easily outdo Hurler on airtime and/or forces. Unless you consider going over hills without leaving your seat airtime and being thrown to the side because the train is shuffling so bad as forces... It had the best pacing of the three -

Probably. I just don't think retracking one turn is going to change the fact that this ride isn't fun. I'll certainly report back if it's any good, just don't get your hopes up. Hurler at kd was brutal but it was the best wooden coaster there and had the best forces and most intense airtime. It was mostly those turns that ruined it the way it shook and absorbed so much of the speed -
