  1. <----- My copy made it's way up I-5 and landed in my mailbox today. I now have all 7 TPR DVD's in my collection. Woot. Thanks again, SM-
  2. I've been on Xcelerator and TTD and didn't notice anything but a smooth launch up to speed. Btw, Xcelerator whips the pants off TTD in terms of launching intensity IMO.
  3. This video made me laugh, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXr-aisWCuE Sean-
  4. Check out Schnitzelbank if you get the shot as well. It's not that far down the highway from Holiday World and has a great selection of food and drink. http://www.schnitzelbank.com/ The gift shops sells mini kegs so you can't go wrong. Have fun on your trip! Sean "Don't forget you can buy big ass legal fireworks in Indiana!" Menefee
  5. Kelly and I usually on the road three weekends a month visiting parks and other amusement type places here in norcal. A normal year of theme park travel for us consists of two or three So-Cal runs, (Solace, WCB, Haunt type events.) Followed by one summer multi park trip depending on what's new for the season, (this year was a HW, CP, SFKK, SFGAm marathon.)
  6. That video is awesome, and the full/full looks very interesting to me. Thanks a bunch for the link! <----Thinks Japan 2008 Maybe??
  7. Brand new Outkast called "Morris Brown" off the Idlewild album coming out next month. Download it below if you're interested: Outkast- Morris Brown http://www.zshare.net/download/01_outkast-morris_brown_clean-mp3-3hh.html
  8. This was a very neat idea, thanks for sharing dude.
  9. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk's Giant Dipper (Built in 1924) http://beachboardwalk.com/02_giant_dipper.html
  10. SFMW is about 50 minutes from house. PGA is just under 2 hours. SCBB is about 2 1/2 hours as long as someone doesn’t crash and back up 17. Bonafante is a little over 3 hours. SFMM is about 6 hours down I-5. SFMW's V2.5 The "marine" part of Six Flags Marine World. The Seal Cove gang is hard at work as usual! Medusa looking very twisty.
  11. Here are a few more random shots from me till I get off my butt and make my own TR thread I guess. RD has pretty much covered it all so I'll just add a few photos of my own to show off how I saw the parks through my camera. Bull was one of the better rides on the trip, not super forceful but a ton of fun none the less. You also had to love the fireworks show we got as we started to climb the lift hill at dusk. We got a chance to go through the circuit with fireworks exploding off in the distance. It was a very cool experience. Superman Al and myself repping the west siiiiidddeee, (well...maybe just me.) Random Superman shot I'm sure no one has ever thought to take. The Dizz still waiting for some of that Blue Berry Yum Yum at Holiday World. Viper from the sky. This was my favorite of all the Batman rides I've been on. The only downside was the fortress of humidity and ass smell the que line works its way through. On hot days they really need to get some air moving through that area of the line, the stairwell was super gross and sweaty to say the least. All in all Six Flags Great America was my favorite park of our whole trip with Holiday world in a close 2nd place. I feel I can easily spend 3 days at SFGam and not get bored, (I also kinda felt sorry for PGA after we left. You can really see how much of a beating that park has taken after you visit SFGam for the first time.) More photos coming soon, and thanks for updating yet again RD. Sean-
  12. ^ That last picture cracks me up. "Here we have 3 California boys playing with fireworks that would be SUPER ILLEGAL in our neck of the woods. So who is going to light these SHELLS again??....oh yeah that would be not so bright Menefee!" Awww good times.
  13. <---- Kelly and I on TTD a few weeks ago.
  14. Just a random thought and a few pics to boot: I finally got a chance to ride the "real" V2 at SFGam on this trip and it didn't disappoint. The front spike I wish we still had....but I also dig the newer V2 just the same. I was playing around with some shutter speeds and the above "big ass" lens flair ended up on this shot. More to come soon. Thanks again RD. Sean-
  15. Kelly and I will be down at PGA dude, time for a Drop Zone and TG fix. I'll call you Friday, and I'll get my photos up soon, (no really....I swear!)
  16. My girlfriend Kelly and I were following RD and company through the city and let's just say IT TOOK FOREVER!!! It didn't help that we hit Chicago around 4ish either but let's just say traffic was very intense and we got to take it very….very….very….slow! We knew what to expect at least, but I did end up getting some nice shots of the city because of it. Thanks for getting your photos out early RD, it's been fun reading about our trip again. I have almost all 800 photos ready to be posted tomorrow so check for my TR and photo albums soon.
  17. This happened LAST YEAR, and the title of the thread doesn’t really explain that very well it looks like. Roar has been running fine all season so enjoy your day at the park Gumball. Edit....well his post was above mine, guess he deleted it.

    PGA

Get your Pyscho Mouse and Survivor rides first because of load times, those lines tend to crawl during the later hours of the day. We usually work our way to the back half of the park at opening and try to hit Top Gun right around lunch time. Outside of that make sure to ride Eagles Flight/Delta Flyer for some great photos opportunities, and bring a pillow for Grizz. Also be sure to grab a backseat on Whitewater Falls, it's has some airtime goodness that most people wouldn’t expect from just looking at it. SM- (Side note....try to get on the blue side of the Survivor Disk-O, it offers the best ride experince IMO.)
  19. I ran into this last weekend: Hmmmmm..........
  20. I capped (err un-capped) Saturday night off after working 15 hours with one of these bad boys: Sean "I might get some free time some year, but at least I have good brew and a badamuss girlfriend till then!" Menefee IPA! IPA! IPA! ....GOOOOOO IPA!
  21. <-----Will ride just about ANYTHING but also has a fear of heights and trailer park carnival rides. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has this stupid fear and decided that coasters was a good hobby to pick up on the weekends. I'm also scared of anything at the Dixon May Fair: http://sm2designs.com/thumbnails.php?album=23&page=1
  22. Awesome, my trip is almost two weeks away and these will help tide me over till we leave. Great stuff as always, thanks for sharing. Sean-
  23. My girl and I have spent well over $2,000 bucks with butterflyphoto.com and have had NO problems at all. ( I purchsed a Nikon DSLR with lenses and extras.) They have great customer service, even better prices, quick shipping+ tracking, and the up selling is held to a minimal amount. Good luck with your purchase, it's a really good thing you're doing your homework, you will end up with a way better deal that way! Sean-
  24. You can find more info about POP with the link below: http://naid.sppsr.ucla.edu/venice/articles/pop.htm Enjoy, Sean-
