  1. Gurnee ^ Research for my June trip back east.
  2. I got 5 or 6 rides last week and didn't have any issues with the restraints being uncomfortable. As for my girlfriend, she said it was a bit of a boob crusher but nothing she couldn't handle.
  3. I favor the creative side of my brain, so add another onto the left handed side of TPR please.
  4. Thanks for the pics yet again, the whole NCC crew is booking tickets back east tomorrow for an early June Trip and so far it looks like this: June 3 - Arrive in Louisville, KY at 11 a.m. - Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom June 4 - Paramount's Kings Island June 5 - Beech Bend in Bowling Green, KY June 6 - Holiday World & Splashin' Safari June 7 - Holiday World & Splashin' Safari June 8 - Six Flags St. Louis June 9 - Still Undecided June 10 - Leave Louisville, KY and head home Two days worth of Voyage goodness, and these pictures help make the tug on my wallet all that much easier. Sweet..... Sean-
  5. Some of you guys need to quit over thinking this whole thing and just enjoy all the parks that our region has to offer. Life is too short to boycott over something as silly as this, but to each their own, (never mind that NEW ride they put in this year.) I guess I have two less people to not worry about standing in front of me in line this year, lucky me. I thought you wanted info about the parks up here instead of a thread about silly Top Gun rumors and baseless "boycott" talk about nothing.
  6. Can you please change my title to "Nor-Cal Branch Of TPR." You guys rule, thanks in advance. SM-
  7. Orbit is done for. The ride is still sitting in its place, but they have boarded up the entrance, and cut out the que. They also turned the former que line into a designated smoking area for the park. Here are a few photos I shot over the weekend as proof. Sean- Orbit hiding from the public.... Smoking Area Anyone?
  8. Ha, You can tell how happy Kelly is to be around my goofy ass. It was a really fun day though, and I brought home a little piece of that Bay Area "bling bling" back to the valley. Last but not least, make sure to head up and check out Survivor, it's a really cool addition to PGA's lineup this year. Edit.... P.S. Drop towers still scare the hell outta me, I know.... I'm a sissy.
  9. If the cycles were a bit longer the Screamin Swings would rank close to number one on my list. One last flat that ranks high on my list: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk's "Free Fall" is goofy small, but lots of fun.
  10. I'm going to be at Paramount's Great America with the regular crew of NCC folks. Should be a good day, and the weather looks like it's going to be nice for a change after all the rain we have been getting up here.
  11. It’s an associates family/friend day I think. Bush was saying it's like 1 train op all day but it should be slow enough that we should get plenty in.
  12. Kelly and I will be down around 6:30 ish, I'll hit you up when I get into the park Wally. Tomorrow should be sweet, then PGA on Sunday to further extend my craziness of road trips over the last two weekends.
  13. I'll give you a call around 9 am ish Wally to see where you're at dude. Were gonna be at Disney by opening TRYING to wake up. I got a truckload of energy drinks and a badass rental car, I'll see you guys in a bit. Sean-
  14. Sunday can't come soon enough! Sean "Lets get this week over with" Menefee
  15. We were crossing our fingers yesterday because of how the weather was looking all last week. We lucked out with no rain, but the park got rather chilly after 4ish, (today looked like it was a going to be a rain out though.) The parade itself has a lot of potential and I'm sure it will be fine tuned as the next couple of weeks go on. NCC will have an update of SFMW's opening weekend along with a nice series of construction shots from Tava's Jungleland coming a bit later this evening. I just got done processing all the photos so the hard part is done. Sean “I captured over 2 gigs worth of photos yesterday” Menefee
  16. Good to hear about you coming down dude. ^ This weekend can't get here soon enough IMO. Sean-
  17. My reply is in bold in the quote: I had the chance to shoot some photos for the park and noticed a ton of really positive changes, along with a handful of small opening day glitches at SFMW. My friend Scott (Old Crow) from NCC just posted a quick TR from today and this is what he had to say: I hope this gives you another perspective of opening day. I personally didn't get the chance to play around a ton during our visit, but my girl and I enjoyed our full day at SFMW. Sean "To each their own, but I must of been at a different park then you I guess…" Menefee
  18. Al and I just got our plans nailed out and my weekend events look like this: Drive all night Thursday night to be in SoCal by early Friday morning. Disneyland Friday till the event that night Knotts Saturday Magic Mountain on Sunday Then drive our butts off to get back up to NorCal to be at work bright and early Monday morning. Work has been nutty lately so this trip can't come soon enough IMO.
  19. The front seat was pretty much the only way to go with Zonga in its SFMW form IMO. You could use the bars on the front of the train to pull your head out of the restraints a bit, but it was still rough by most people’s standards. I can’t count how many times I got off Zonga in its first/early second year and heard the GP talking about how the ride “really smashed their ears.” I personally enjoyed Zonga as long as I was near the front row, and there wasn’t much of a line. It’s a very unique ride.
  20. Zonga tested during this off-season so it has hope from what I've been told.
  21. I can't stand heights, but love coasters. So needless to say the lift isn't my favorite part of the ride. Launched coasters are easier to deal with IMO but I'll ride just about anything one time no matter how bad it looks. Drop towers are a whole other issue though.
  22. <---- Will be arriving from a fun filled night full of I-5 sometime early Friday morning. Who needs sleep anyways?
  23. Great, thanks for the pass you guys. ^ Sean-
  24. Sweet deal, I'm getting off work around 2 so that should put me at the park sometime around 4ish if traffic doesn't slow me up to much. This is going to be sweet. (BTW Don, Wally, etc, you guys going to Solace? I just hooked up my reservations and tickets today so we all need to meet up when/if you guys head down south. Beer's on me!)
