My girl Kelly and one of my other homies is planning on coming down with me Phishy. The other girl is close friend of mine from work/college and you can read a bit about her below. http://www.yogawithbecca.com/pictures.htm Her name is Becca, and she's a yoga guru you could say. She's a pretty chill type of person to hang with so I figured you wouldn't mind all that much. SM-

I gotta work till like 2ish but I'm going to try to get down to the park to hang with you guys for the later part of the afternoon. Damn work, but I gotta pay the bills, you guys know the drill. If anyone from outta town needs free lodging hit me up, I'm sure some of us Sac Town folks have some extra space and a few aero beds to spare.

I've played ice hockey since I was 3 years old so I've had my share of broken body parts. On the list that comes to mind at the moment are: My eye socket from a brutal high stick Both wrists Left leg Restructured right rotator cuff So many toes I can't count. Right ankle Been knocked out a few to many time for my own good 4 Ribs over a 10 year period Every finger on my right hand over 10 years, not to mention a few on my left I should be nice and sore by the time I hit older age, but ice hockey has been worth every bump and bruise since day one!

I live and die with Adobe products so it's Premier for my video editing program. The learning curve is a bit high at first, but if you’re familiar with the menu layout of Adobe software it makes it a bit easier to understand. Just my two cents on what works best for me.

Random, but funny. From thesmokinggun.com: JANUARY 23--Meet Jennifer Brockett and Leonard Farrington. There is no connection between the two Floridians except that they both a) have been arrested in the past couple of weeks; and b) take a damn nice mug shot. Brockett, 20, was nabbed Saturday in Tampa on a cocaine possession charge. Farrington, 46, was arrested last month in Broward County for "viol injunction against repeated violence." While a beaming Farrington showed his pearly whites, Brockett opted for a more taciturn look, one reminiscent of the "another fine mess" pose of Stan Laurel. (1 page) Some people are very, very strange. Feel free to turn this thread into a "Celebrity Mugshot" posting session. I guess the bottom line is mugshots are funny as long as they're not of you! Hmmm??

From Yahoo Report: Pacers agree to trade Artest to Kings for Stojakovic January 24, 2006 BRISTOL, Connecticut (Ticker) - It appears the Indiana Pacers have found a taker for troubled forward Ron Artest. According to ESPN's Jim Gray, the Pacers and Sacramento Kings have agreed in principle on a trade that will send Artest to the Kings for 6-10 forward Peja Stojakovic. The trade is reportedly awaiting league approval. The 26-year-old Artest was placed on the inactive list by the Pacers in December and subsequently fined $10,000 by the league for publicly requesting a trade. Artest averaged 19.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and a league-leading 2.63 steals in 16 games this season. Stojakovic, a three-time All-Star who has the right to opt out of his contract after this season, is averaging 16.5 points and shooting a career-worst 40 percent from the field. Last season, Artest was suspended 75 games - the longest non-drug ban in NBA history - for his major role in the brawl at The Palace of Auburn Hills on November 19, 2004. After a scuffle on the court with Detroit Pistons center Ben Wallace, Artest was hit with a partially full plastic cup thrown from the stands and charged into the seats, attacking a fan he believed threw the cup. The incident triggered a full-scale riot between players and fans and led to changes in security measures at all NBA arenas. Artest later faced criminal charges but was sentenced to probation and community service. In the 2002-03 season, Artest was suspended for instigating an altercation with Miami Heat coach Pat Riley and fined and suspended for smashing a TV camera after a game at New York. He also got into a shoving match with a Pacers official after a postseason loss. Thoughts and opinions fellow NBA fans? Sean-

Let me start of this TR by pointing you to the long ass car ride we enjoyed down to the Bay here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21774 My girl, good friend, and I headed down to SCBB for an off-season trip over the weekend. Here are a few shots from our day, hope you enjoy. The sail boats were out in large numbers due to the windy weather out in the bay. Here is a shot of the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf as we wandered onto the Boardwalk. Dipper was running one train for the day, but there was only like 200 people max on the Boardwalk. We ended up getting a ton of rides, with plenty of ass kicking thrown in for good measure. The ride still runs pretty damn good for being built in 1924, (50 million riders later,) so I can't complain. Dipper's black train cresting the lift hill. The fan turn of extreme laterals, and bruised ribs. The lower half of the Boardwalk was close due to rehab, or lack of staff. It was such a slow day it didn't surprise me, but we did miss Ghost Blasters and Cave Train, which was booty. If you gotta sell Dippin Dots for a living, at least the job comes with a good view. Look how happy she looks! Fireball was running as nuts as usual. This ride is one of the only spin type rides that can make me sick. I wish the one down at Knott’s had as good of a program! What's a TPR update without Marini's FUDGE for all the chunky coaster lovers. If you haven't had the chance to taste Marini's Salt Water Taffy, or Fudge you're not being a true fatty! Sky Glider was down as well, so I didn't get some of my favorite Boardwalk shots this time around. Bah! The only other SCBB coaster credit was down for rehab as well. If you have had the privilege of riding this just one time, you have done it enough. The only up side to Hurricane is the extreme banking, and lap bars that save your noggin. Hurricane's trains wrapped up from the weather. Even kiddies need rehab sometimes, (random I know, almost as cool as a pile of dirt.) The classic 1911 Looff carousel, with working ring toss, (gotta love being left handed and throwing over the horse.) Needless to say, I suck at the ring toss. The original 342-pipe band organ. The pirate ship deck had a huge whole in the middle of it, and was also undergoing rehab. This bird is into Men it looks like. Laughing Sal getting ready for her second summer at the Boardwalk. This is another great piece of amusement park history, so make sure to check this out if you get down to SCBB. A few final shots of Double Shot floating right before takeoff. Near the top of the 125 foot tower overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Who would have guessed....yet another picture of Double Shot. Last but not least, a fat man with an ice cream cone, looking at the pipe organ like it's going to be his next snack. So that about does it, a very random TR to the SCBB. It was a great day down at the beach even with the seasonal closures. Don't hesitate to check SCBB out during the winter months, the park still has plenty of things to do with unbeatable scenery. Thanks for reading, Sean-

I'm a bit outta "the loop" folks, what happend with the old show? -
Here is very random, car crash TR from my trip down to SCBB today with a few friends. Kelly, Kris, and I ended up getting down to Santa Cruz today and we got stuck in the biggest wreck/traffic jam on 17 I've seen in a few years. Check the news article, followed by some shots Kris snagged with my camera from the backseat. We had like 18 miles of cars in front of us! Gotta love driving a stick shift in traffic like this. Look how excited I look driving through all this madness. My clutch leg was about ready to fall off at this point. Here is the truck the story was talking about. We seriously thought dude was dead after seeing the car. It's cool to hear no one died during the pile up. Last photo of 17's demolition derby. It took us FOREVER to get from Santa Clara to Santa Cruz, but it ended up being a great day with no one down at the boardwalk, and TONS of re-rides. I'll post up a full SCBB TR here shortly, I got some great off season shots with my new D50. Sean "Nothing like carnage on a Sunday morning" Menefee

This has been interesting to read and a bit sad at the same time. I'm not much of a heights fan, (coasters are cool, but ferris wheels, drop towers, etc really get to me sometimes,) but I did get the chance to check High Roller a few years back on my 21st birthday. Liquid courage and a ton of peer pressure broke me down, and I have some terrifying memories of the event, to last me a lifetime. You happen to snag anymore shots dude? Last but not least thanks for the updates, it's much appreciated.

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?
Sean Menefee replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
Sacramento had REALLY clear blue skies for the first time in a few weeks. It's nice to not be underwater out here anymore, it's been VERY soggy to say the least, so Im just glad the flooding is over for a few days. Time to dry out for a bit, but it looks like it's gonna rain again tomorrow here in the NorCal area. Sean- -
Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loops
Sean Menefee replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Bits and pieces of it are sitting up there still rusting away, but GL/TW has been picked over pretty heavy as spare parts for Kentucky Kingdom's Shuttle. So PGA's ride lives on, just in pieces on the other side of the country, (not to mention a few other funny places.) Sean "Glad to be out from under all that water up here!" Menefee
