I'd rather pay for a service which works well. Besides, Xbox Live isn't that expensive. The 360 has a much more robust game lineup then the PS3. However the trade off is the 360's horrid, horrid quality. The failure rate has been estimated on >30%, and that doesn't even factor in that they give you back refurbs, which are almost a sure thing to fail in under a year. MS had Sony down and out, but let them back in once 360s started dropping like fly's.

The Great Escape (TGE) Discussion Thread
Carnage replied to Red Benny's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Personally I though the operations were brutal at GE, and the locals at the park were annoying. My one experience there was just brutal. The highlight of that day was a rideop on Comet backing her fat ass into the e-stop button, and then calling maintenance out because they had no idea how to restart the ride. -
Making something "FF friendly" isn't even 100% possible. With an open source browser there could be an endless amount of setups, and configurations, and add ons that could cause the page to break. No webmaster would be able to plan for that. Like I've had websites that Adblock totally destroys. I typically have to disable Adblock for that page to get it to load. That's not the problem of the website itself that my specific setup causes their page to break.

Question about Mt. Olympus coasters
Carnage replied to MisterP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you're talking kicker wheels to move trains, then no. There are plenty of coasters that have no kicker wheel systems, and only rely on gravity to move the trains. -
Kings Island building a B&M Hyper Coaster
Carnage replied to browntggrr's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No, I don't think you could make the new hyper trains 4 across. It's 1x2x1, but the back two seats overlap somewhat with the front two. You "might" be able to squeeze in one more seat, but I don't think the trains are wide enough to go to 4. Also going 4x4 would probably require more room between the two rows. You'd have to move the front row up to fit in the lap bar restraints. At that point you'll end up with the same old hyper train. -
Question about Mt. Olympus coasters

In the case of Cylcops it's because they actually removed a car from the train. -

Mean Streak does it as well. -
Well personally I'm not a fan of KI, and wouldn't go out of my way for it. But if you've never been, and want to go then it's not a bad idea. Just be warned that KI isn't close to Cedar Point at all. You're probably talking about an extra 3 hour drive from CP to KI.

No, not unless you're going to ride Ravine Flyer many times. The wrist band is $20, but a single ride on Ravine Flyer is $2.50 I think. Probably less for Comet. So unless you're going to ride Ravine Flyer over and over again, you'll probably be better off to get tickets.

I remember a playground in my city used to have a similar tunnel system. But it was removed along with any other kind of equipment that could possibly hurt a kid. Part of some province wide "playground saftey" blitz. All they did though was flatten 3/4 of the playgrounds replacing them with nothing. -
Chance Rides Toboggan
Carnage replied to mikeandjoaquin's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The one at Lakemont even ran multiple cars. It seemed to be in really good shape. Not falling apart like Little Amerika's and CLPs. -

The one at Lakemont was pretty good. The one at Conneaut wasn't too bad. The one at Little Amerika was evil, evil, evil!! I don't think the one at Little Amerika had the brakes enabled. -
Go into your profile settings, then "posting". Find the option which says "Always attach my signature". Make sure that says yes.

Anyone live in or near Indianapolis?
Carnage replied to ILoveRitalin's topic in Random, Random, Random
Just remember that tornadoes love trailer parks. So as long as you don't live in a trailer park you should be safe. -
Click on "my add ons" in the bottom left menu. Then just add the code displayed. It will look like this: Except with square brackets instead of round, and your id instead of mine. Then you click on roller coasters, search for the rides you've been on, click add, and then rate it. Repeat. Simple.

Old Arrow corckscrews hold little nostalgic value for me. They're uncomfortable, and not much fun. Rip it out. -
Theme Park Engagements/Weddings
Carnage replied to StormFreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I saw a wedding party at Kennywood a few years ago. Was funny watching the bride trying to hold onto the vail while riding Phantoms Revenge. -

I expected the war museum to have a white flag flying out front ... -
^ TTD is not on early entry. Although it would be a good idea to head over there after early entry ends.

Maybe just try to not make new threads until you get the hang of it. Just post in existing threads until you know how thinks work.

Boo!! I can't stand that movie. My parents made me watch it WAY too many times. I've heard way too many times how my parents first kiss was at that trophy case that the kid gets thrown into. -
Well Waldameer is just a bit off the interstate if you're going through Buffalo. Would probably take you an hour or two if you took your time, less if you just stopped in for a couple rides and then left. Cost wise would be less then $20. Probably not more then $5 or $6 if you just rode the coasters and then continued on.
-
Well, as far as google maps is concerned it's about an extra 15km from Toronto via Buffalo then it is via Detroit. However, 15km is nothing. And going through Detroit means going through more cities, and more chances for slow down. (and not even taking into account construction). I'd say going through Buffalo is going to be quicker. Plus you could stop at Waldameer if you wanted on the way down.
