  1. But what about the fact that they're just rusty old bolts? You'd really pay $10 for something that you could get from home depot for 5 cents?
  2. How do you even know it's a bolt from the coaster? I could go to any random construction site and pick up some random rusty bolts. They would look just like these one's. The track section you might be able to actually pass off as a part from a coaster. But show some people those bolts and they'd think you're crazy. Just a couple of rusty old bolts.
  3. ^ No, but the title fairy transcends time. It's kind of like human years vs dog years.
  4. Try to catch the title fairy when he's all hopped up.
  5. I think in most cases they just underestimate the clearance on these rides. If you work on a ride every day, you probably become desensitized to the noises of the ride. So walking close to the ride probably wouldn't phase him. Probably just went to get the hat, and got too close, not thinking about how far to the side of the track that the car might extend.
  6. I agree, it's odd. I'm just pointing out that the ride could have been removed at any time. But really, removing a disko isn't going to make much of a difference. People go to that park for the coasters or the go-kart tracks. No one will probably even notice it's gone.
  7. To me that would be a sign that a big storm was likely in the near future. Just means the area is over due for a storm. Kind of like California. The fact that a major quake hasn't hit in some time doesn't mean that they're in the clear. Quite the opposite, every year that goes by, it become more of a risk that another major quake is going to hit.
  8. You're kidding...I took this picture on June 26th and it was right in front of the Helios go-kart track!!! Well two weeks is plenty of time to pack up a disko. Assuming they did sell it, they could easilly have packed it up and hauled it away in a day. It's not a large ride by any means.
  9. I would only suggest Wisconsin Dells to someone who was going on a longer distance trip. Or going to SFGAM, and make the drive up to the Dells for good measure. Wisconsin Dells are in the middle of no where, it would be a waste to go just there.
  10. So "E3 2008 Blogs" translates into Nintendo Disappoints? Interesting.
  11. Supports typically would be out in the open along with track sections. I'd guess the crates probably contain less interesting stuff like stairs, kicker wheels, railing sections, etc.
  12. Probably just crates of general parts. Trains are normally one of the last peices to arrive. They tend to only be delivered around the completion of the track.
  13. Well they could have sold it in principle, and just plan on shipping it out at the end of the season. It could be packed up and ready to ship in a few hours.
  14. You bought a Virtual Boy? Yeah, that actually DOES mean you know nothing.
  15. Can you back up that fact, or are you just stating your opinion? Because I'd think it's the total opposite. There is probably not a large population who owns a 360/PS3 as well as a Wii. They have quite different target audiences. 360/PS3 both aim for the older, more mature audience. The audience that wants action, blood, and gore. Wii targets more casual and family friendly games. Nintendo is making a killing targeting the casual audience. If they were to switch to the hardcore market they'd just be up for a losing battle against Sony and Microsoft. A hardcore gamer is simply going to go for a PS3 or Xbox360, as Wii can't come close to matching the volume that those systems pump out.
  16. I thought the theme was a theme from one of the old western TV shows like Bonanza or something. But that's purely a guess.
  17. ^ If so his plan might change. He hasn't said when he's going. He could be going this year. It's a vague question, so really we can only give our best guess at this very moment.
  18. Don't choose Kings Island. The coasters there are too painful. I could think of a dozen parks in the US I'd go to before KI. SFMM, Cedar Point, and SFGADV would be neck and neck. Do you have a preference to a certain type of coaster? Steel or wood? SFMM is loaded with intense steel loopers. CP has less inversions, but smoother faster rides. SFGADV has a good balance, and also is the only one of the three that has a kick ass wooden coster. CP and SFMM have no good wooden coasters.
  19. So no holes in that grey t-shirt they gave you?
  20. Also Time Warp is the least reliable coaster. Better to get it done during ERT, without worrying about it breaking down while waiting in line.
  21. Reminds me of one of the tube slides at Wild Water Kingdom in Toronto. Except on that one they send you down in like groups of 20. Pure chaos when you're in big group.
  22. ^ The people who need to get all the credits will be glad to have one of the lowest capacity coasters on ERT. And once the park opens they should be able to knock out Flight Deck and Skyrider before the crowds get in. Leaving Fly and Bat as the low capacity rides that they'll have to wait for. Depending of course how people plan their attack.
  23. I probably won't get to reading up on stuff until tonight, but I assume that refers to overall revenue? That makes real sense really. Wii edges out 360 and PS3, but in terms of revenue Wii's lower price point closes the gap a bit. But the big difference is probably software sales. 360/PS3 owners are probably much more likely to continue buying new games. Wii owners are probably much less likely to buy extra games. What with the whole casual gaming focus, there's probably a lot of people that play nothing more then Wii Sports.
  24. Yes, I'm jaded. But experiences like mine, and even worse are very, very common. If you start browsing around mesage boards, etc you'll find many, many people who have gone through multiple consoles. I've got three co-workers, a brother, and a couple fiends who have all had consoles die. And not all of them were older consoles. One co-worker had an elite die. There's even a guy on another message board I browse who's had his elite die twice. The second time they sent him back a 360 pro instead of an elite. The quality issues with the 360 cost MS $1billion dollars to extend the warranties. That's a billion dollars that is being pumped into a pissed off customer base who are not going to come back.
  25. ^ Twisted Horseshoe Roll I believe.
